This is a great tug…not a chew toy
I have three of these now to support the training I do with my two Belgian Malinois. They are well designed, a great size, easy to find (the pink is bright) and well worth the money. But understand these are meant for tugging and training with your dog. They are not plush chew toys

HANG IT UP AND IT WILL LAST!! NOT A CHEW TOY!!
Mine has been used with multiple dogs my mountain cur, pitties and GSD and shows no signs of wear or breaking down. BUT when I am finished with it I put it in my pocket or hang it up! I saw the complaints my dog chewed through it or I gave it to my two dogs and it didn’t last ok that’s not what it’s for. it isn’t intended to be CHEWED on! this is a tug toy. A tug training reward. That means excited dog bites the hell out of it tugs, pulls, yanks, shakes his head and then let’s go of it. No jaw open closing repeatedly! It is an interactive toy for you and your dog to enjoy a game of tug not to be left on the floor! A wooden table leg CAN be chewed through why would anyone expect a fabric toy to be for chewing and gnawing on. However while yes fabric when used properly it’s been a durable toy. Be more mindful people your carelessness and uninformed reviews hurt this man’s business. Amazon doesn’t look at weither you use it properly just the rating average. I’ve never had an instruction manual with a flippin tug toy it should be self explanatory but no this business owner is doing absolutely everything he can to promote proper use of his products to keep from getting bad reviews from people who let dogs use these as chew toys help him! Read the instructions and be informed! Also the gentleman provides very nice customer service as I inquired over the instructions and best methods for drying the toy after an accident with water. He is very helpful, polite and quick to respond.

Tug Toy
This was pretty nice to use for my belusky, however, after a few weeks of using it for training purposes, he was able to create a hole where the blue tug is. He hasn’t been able to fully rate it apart because we don’t let him chew on it. It’s nice to use when he gets excited and needs something to bite down on

Seems durable and pup loves it.
I’ve had this for a week and had at least 10 to 15 minutes of daily tug with my 76 lb golden retriever. He’s demolished many rope toys and I’ve been concerned about him eating the frayed ends, so figured I’d try a different material. This toy seems very durable and my dog loves it! My only complaints are that it could afford to be a bit longer, and the handle gets uncomfortable fairly quickly for me. If the handle were a little longer or wider, this would be the perfect tug toy!Updated 03/23/20: 1.5 months in and the handle is torn, and I’m not surprised. Hoping that I can tie it to a rope and continue to use this toy because Ziggy is obsessed.Updated 01/25/21: Nearly a year and going strong. Ziggy doesn’t play with this daily now, but he still thrashes and chews on this toy every now and then. Not a single fray. I still wouldn’t leave him unattended with it, but I’m impressed. Wish it was offered in a longer length. I’d buy more.

dogs love it!
I got this for a wild Aussie we have, she is a good dog but lots of energy and nothing to herd makes her a bit crazy. I have quickly learned she will do anything for this tug, and after 15mins of play/training she has settled down dramatically. I hope to use this while trail running to shift her focus from aggressively herding my doodle and going full blown crazy when we see other dogs on trail. My doodle was a little put off at first with mouth feel but out of jealousy she has taken to it, and I have purchased another lol

Blue strap broke at first use
The first time I used this for training with my Belgian Malinois the blue strap broke off the orange body. I was on a deployment when it arrived and just got back home 3 days ago, so only now opened the box and tried it out with the dog. Naturally, the 30 day return window closed YESTERDAY so I’m stuck with it. For the money I’d definitely expect better. And yes, I know it’s not a chew toy. That’s not what I was using it for today.

I’m torn. (That’s called foreshadowing)
This tug toy is perfect for most dogs; the material is tough, the stitching is tight, and the handle is comfortable enough for extended tug sessions. The problem in my case is that it’s still proving to be no match for Winnie, an 11-month-old, roughly 60-pound Borderdoodle with a tug-of-war obsession.Tug-of-war is the driving force in Winnie’s life. She’ll choose it over food, treats, tennis balls, frisbees, squeaky toys, chasing squirrels, barking at cats, butt scratches, back scratches, ear scratches — you name it. Roughly a dozen times a day, she sits by the fridge and just **stares** at me, not because she wants leftover chicken or string cheese, but because she knows I store these tugs on top of it. If I leave them anywhere else, she will find a way to get them (as you can see from her scheming as I took the pictures).Winnie’s a formidable opponent, and ends up destroying lighter-duty tugs like ropes in a couple of days, despite the fact that I never let her play with them unsupervised (otherwise she’ll pull out all the loose end threads, one at a time). These tugs have proven to be the most durable ones I’ve found thus far, and she really loves playing with them because I can get such a solid grip with the loop sewn into them. They’re also terrific for bonding because we’re pretty much face-to-face the entire time since I usually sit on the floor with her to play.We play 3-4 times a day, for 10-20 minutes at a time. At that rate, these tugs are lasting roughly 5 days each. Each of them ends up tearing in the exact same spot on “her end” of the toy. It starts as a few loose threads on day 2 or day 3. I then cut the threads off because her canine teeth get caught in the loops, and I worry that the thread is strong enough to accidentally pull a tooth out. This buys us a few more sessions before the seam is eventually completely torn and the stuffing starts coming out. Time to unwrap a new one. While these may very well be the best tug available, they’re unfortunately turning out to be a very expensive recurring cost — I’m paying roughly $80/month at current Amazon pricing, and that’s just not sustainable. I’ll continue to search for something that’s up to the challenge, and in the meantime I’ll do what I can to extend the life of these toys. They really are the best I’ve found, even if they’re no match for Winnie at this stage of her life.

Bought this for my dog to fetch from water. Worked well initially but after 10 plus throws became waterlogged and sank like a stone! I had to wade in to retrieve it from the bottom of the sea – I have now purchased a different make

I read the reviews for many tug toys and liked the material used for these K-9 Tug Toys. Since my large breed dog is still a puppy and my hands aren’t that sturdy, I wanted a material that was soft but rugged enough to stand up to a very determined pup whose still learning. The French linen is thick and appears to be quite resilient. I can handle the tug and hang on during some strong tugging without hurting my hands. I initially purchased the tug to work on our retrieval and develop his eagerness to turn over items. That’s going so much better with the tug rather then focusing on balls/toys. Because my Golden has been mouthing since the day I brought him home, I’ve started redirecting his “bite” to the tug when he gets overexcited on walks. The K-9 tug is light weight -the handle & tug are both soft and easy to carry. My 8 month old pup is very tall/strong and I’m 5’2” with limited strength. I needed a tug toy I could hang onto comfortably with one hand while he bit down. I find the handle a little too thin and smooth to hold while he’s biting or tugging because it cuts in to my hand. This is a great tool for working with your dog. It costs more then others on the market but it’s worth it for me because it’s easy to hold. The stitching is good and the ends are very well sealed with repeated sewing passes.I hope the K-9 Tug Toy holds up because my pup loves it and it’s really helping with his training. Thanks for producing such a high quality product. Please continue to make them available on Amazon.ca.

Bello ma veramente troppo delicato: ha resistito pochi minuti con il mio cane che lo ha letteralmente divelto.Prendetelo solo se avete una razza di cane non particolarmente forte
