Puppy loves this game.
This activity game was the first time we have ever seen our puppy play with a “puzzle “. She solved it the first time she played with it and wanted more. She even squeaked the button for more.Totally recommend for beginners. 🐶

My dog was a little nervous about this at first but now she enjoys opening the slots

Very well-made and works perfectly
This is well-made of sturdy plastic. I don’t plan on leaving it out where my dog can turn it into a chew toy so I can’t say if it would entice aggressive chewers. I think it’s safe to say that ANY toy/puzzle/etc. could be demolished by a dog determined to chew and this is no exception. However, I don’t think a dog’s first inclination would be to chew on this based on the way it’s designed. It’s a fairly easy puzzle toy, which is nice for any dog new to puzzles. There are 8 compartments that slide open, and they hold the other 4 outer compartments closed as well. The little doors slide easily, and the 4 flip-up doors on the outer compartments also release easily and flip open and stay that way. Several morsels of dog food fit in each compartment for feedings. For more complicated puzzle solving and nose work, you could put treats in only certain compartments for clever dogs to sniff out and figure out how to get into those specific doors. There is a little squeaking button in the middle, but my dog didn’t seem as interested in that as the doors, being new to puzzles. I think this is a great starter for dogs that aren’t used to puzzles and would also be fun for dogs that are, even if not as challenging for them.

It’s great…except
I see how a dog could use its brains to get the food, but my dog just pulls off the little parts to get the food. She is too smart for this I guess. Too bad because I like what it’s intended to do.

Fun game, not too sturdy
Big, noisy, and it looks like cheap plastic. The idea is great and I believe it works for some dogs, but my rescue pup was terrified of all the noises this toy made, he is also a bit too small for it, his paw size is just not big enough. This could be a great design for bigger dogs, although then it should be sturdier in my opinion.

Easier than it looks.
I thought that the four outer cups might be potentially frustrating, as they are held close by the sliding blocks and can’t open until the slider holding them shut is moved, but it turned out they’re weighted or spring loaded so that they have a bias to open the moment there isn’t a sliding block keeping them closed. The holes are plenty large to attract sniffing, and my dog was immediately engaged. She didn’t want to believe it was over when she’d finished emptying it.There’s a squeaky button in the middle that surprised her a little, but she didn’t much care for it one way or the other–the treat cups were the main attraction. It’s a very easy little puzzle board but kept her busy for a few minutes and she definitely enjoyed the experience. The cumulative capacity of the cups should be enough to feed a medium sized dog as a slow feeder–though I don’t think it will be as slow a feeder as a maze bowl or something a slow dispenser–about on par with a snuffle mat. The only downside is these toys are pretty large, and they have to be stored between uses somewhere they won’t be gnawed to bits. The sliders all moved very easily so I doubt any dog will need training to figure it out. Good starter, but if you have a clever dog, their attention is going to be more biased toward the treats than the play.

Corgi puppy mastered this in 15 minutes.
My corgi puppy mastered this puzzle toy in about 15 minutes flat. This is a great toy for when we are leaving as he is more focused on this rather than panicking that we are leaving. I will have to order a next level up puzzle for him soon I think.
