Keeps my kitty warm
My outdoor cats love these. I now have 2 of these and one of the soft ones. I see a lot of reviews stating they do not feel warm the CAT must lye in them . They are very durable. The size is perfect for one or 2 cats to huddle together . The cover comes off and is washable. Yes the bed itself is hard but my cats do not mind as the cover is soft and warm . The functionality and the value is great. I have not seen any increase in my electric bill this winter as it stays plugged in 24-7. Some have asked about an extension cord . I have had mine plugged into a grounded heavy duty waterproof surgery protector on my porch for 3 winters now. But I am not an electrician . I have had no issues.

Great for more than just cats
Wanna control where your cats sleep? Buy these. While working from home, I placed one on each side of my desk. They needed to be on opposite ends of the desk because the cats did not get along, but both wanted to sit with me. These heat pads kept the cats off my keyboard, and stopped the growling during phone calls. The cats lived to be 18 and 21. When they died I put one of the heaters under the desk and rested my cold feet on it. But when I moved to a less drafty house, I gave the heaters away. They both still worked great.Fast forward ten years… I got more cats! So of course I had to buy more of these heaters. Right now, one of them is in a cute little house. See pic. This kitty refuses to come inside. The heater is in there without a cover, but there are several little pillows in there, which are made from old wool socks. He can nestle in amongst the pillows and nudge them around as he chooses.I came back to get another heater for the two indoor cats to use when they sit on the screen porch in the winter. These two get along so they can share it.Much better than heat lamps because they use less power and are less of a fire hazard, and the temperature is more controlled.I also have a couple of the K&H indoor pet beds.

So far, works great!
Just received this pad, plugged it in and put a pillow on top as instructed to test it. 10 minutes and warm as toast. I will place it in my feral cat house tonight and see how it performs outside in 9° temperature. I’ll modify my house by removing the straw I was using and adding another layer of wall insulation. I talked with customer service this morning and asked about straw and extension cord because I’ve seen so many say yes to straw and no to cords. The company says NO STRAW (fire Hazzard) and yes to extension cord as long as it’s 12 gauge. After using it for a few days I’ll update this review.

Keeps em warm
We have a cat we took in about 11 years ag. He will NOT come in the house, or the garage. So, we built a small shelter for him, and each year we get a new pad. He loves it, keeps him warm on the cold nights. It probably lasts longer than a season, but my wife insisted on new every year, in case it gives out.Good price for a great product!

Kitties stay warm
This kitty warmer seems to be doing the job of keeping my feral kitties warm during cold nights, and heats up only when kitty ‘s weight is in the pad.But it seems the padding that sits atop the heater, seems very very thin,

Great for outdoor cats
We built a cat house for 2 cats that appeared one day outside (unfortunately can’t bring them in). Once the weather started getting cold, we noticed that they stopped using the house and instead we’re staying by the door for the little heat that was escaping.Once we noticed this, I immediately bought this pad per the recommendations that I saw online. We wanted something safe (won’t burn down the house) and good for the cats to stay warm this winter. On the very first night, we instantly noticed them both cuddled up inside and on the pad. Very happy as long as it keeps working like this.

Works great outdoors even at sub 0 temperatures!
Awesome heating mat! This is the second winter that I have had this mat plugged in for months, outside for the stray kitty in a little cat house. Even at -12°F it still heats well enough to keep kitty warm. Well worth the money!

NO ENGLISH PLUG

This comes with a US plug and is specifically only compatible with 110V (Aus is 240V), – not dual power, so a simple plug adapter isn’t sufficient. I need to arrange a step down transformer etc to get this to work. I bought from amazon.com.au so I would have expected items listed to be compatible with Aus power, or make it VERY clear that a step down transformer is required for it to work. I haven’t had the chance to test the actual product due to messing around trying to get a transformer. Sigh.

We built an insulated cat shelter for our feral rescue. This heated cat pad keeps the interior of the shelter warm and cozy. I check on it often, very impressed with the consistent temperature! The pad came with a sherpa pad that attaches with elastic on the corners. It is white, so you may want to opt for the cover if you want to keep it from getting too dirty. A thin blanket overtop would probably do the same job though.
