Easy to use, gives peace of mind
This product makes it easy to keep an eye on how my cat’s health is doing. I get nervous about her because cats tend to hide when they’re sick, and this is an easy way to keep an eye out. It’s really easy to use, just sprinkle some around the litter box, and it comes with a ton so even adding a pretty generous amount it’ll last for a long time.

False positive result
My cat has been having chronic UTIs for a while, so I bought this to avoid unnecessary stressful vet trips for urinalysis. Sometime last year, she seemed like she had another UTI, so I used this before booking a vet appointment, and it turned blue and pink, and it was indeed a UTI confirmed by the vet. A few months ago, I bought some more to test again, and it came up blue and pink again, but this time the vet said she had no indications of a UTI, so that time it was a false positive, and no longer reliable for me.If I give it the benefit of the doubt, my cat takes a few calming supplements, so maybe there was some interaction there, but can’t say for sure. I guess if you try it and it doesn’t change color, you can probably be confident that your cat is fine, but if it does change color it could be a false positive.Its a shame because it was really easy to use, see the colors, and my cat didn’t mind it. Would be a great product if it gave reliable results.

i was looking for something to detect my cat’s health without it being the litter itself. as a college student, i am always on a budget so when i came across this, i was very interested. i got the mix for $30 since it was the cheaper option and it turned out great! it comes with an informative pamphlet, showing how to use it step by step! i really recommend if you care about your fur babies health !!!

False positive, Cost me $500
I bought this and put some in my cats litter, When he urinated on it it showed proteinuria and alkaline urine, I tested 2 times over 2 days, same result. I took my cat to the vet spent $500 on tests and nothing…. no issue at all with him. urine had all normal values. Waste of money.

Didn’t work
Put this in the litter box my one cat uses and it didn’t change color or give any indication it worked. Maybe a defective batch?

It showed blood in my cat’s urine!
I ordered this to see if it actually works as I have my doubts about home medical tests. I had it sitting on the shelf and forgot about it UNTIL my 9-year-old granddaughter tried to give our cat a bath while I was not at home and no one else stopped her. My cat is terrified of water but she was able to somehow bathe him and dry him. Later that day he was vomiting, I thought probably a hairball but he continued to get sicker and the next day very lethargic so off to the vet hospital ER ($$$$) where I learned that male cats under stress will have inflammation that causes urethral spasms causing a urethral blockage and also affects other body organs and functions. So the only way to save the cat is to catheterize them and drain their bladders for several days while receiving IV medication, and hope their kidney function is not affected. It took a 3-day stay and $3212.41 to save my kitty. Who was released with pain meds and anxiety-reducing medication? When I got home I remembered this kit had recently arrived and I used it twice to check his urine. Easy enough as you just sprinkle some on top of the litter and check after the cat urinates. My kitty is not large and always urinates in the same corner of his litter box so it was easy for me. It says that the product will not harm your cat if ingested and it is easily digestible and biodegradable. I waited two days after he was home from the vet hospital to test and it was positive for Hematuria, so he had blood in his urine. The reaction after being urinated on was quick and the blue color result meant blood was present. I called the vet and was told not to worry, this was normal, and if I felt the need to test again wait for another 5 days as some blood is normal after treatment for his condition. Had I read the follow-up sheet sent home in the folder I would have known blood in his urine for a few days was normal. I waited 7 days and tested again and there was no color change so all is well.
