Why should pets’ nails be polished? 1. Because pet dogs often play indoors, their nails are too sharp, which can easily hook the carpet or other places and cause danger; 2. Dogs who often exercise outdoors can use the rough ground to wear their nails to achieve balance, while dogs who often exercise indoors have less nail wear; 3. Long nails will cause inconvenience to the dog’s activities, and proper polishing will make him more comfortable.

Long charge low noise and vibration
It work quite well, not to loud and comes with extra wheel. Nice to have rechargeable! It holds charge a long time

    Charged up quickly
I love that it didn’t take 16 hours to charge up like my portable phone did. I think this grinder was fully charged in about 20 minutes. It runs really well and you can hear and see the distinction in the different grinding speeds. There is a learning curve in getting the job done right. I watched a couple of videos and then felt comfortable doing it. It’s nice and quiet, so it doesn’t get my dog upset before I even get started. I think this will be much better for us both over the old clippers. I’m happy with this product.

Does the job, is fairly quiet, doesn’t scare the dog

    Great simple solution
This device is easy to use and works well at grinding down dog nails. As always, make sure to watch for the quick. It does create a lot of nail dust, so you have to keep blowing off the dust to see how far you’ve ground down, but overall, way easier to use than the clippers i’ve tried.

    Won’t keep charge
I like the tool, but it will not keep a charge more than a day. I have to recharge it every time I want to use it. The dog and I are not happy about that.I imagine it is the type of battery in the device.

  6. MargieS

    Easy to use
Works well, easy to use. Light helps to see the nail.

Finally My Dog will Let Me Trim Her Nails without Trauma and Struggles
My Corgi Mari is 10 months old and trimming her nails has been a huge problem. I tried using my Dremel with the proper tip for dog nails. When my breeder showed me how to do this with one of her show dogs it looked easy. However as soon as I turned on the Dremel just the sound scared my pup and she was three rooms away in two seconds. There’s no way the Dremel was going to work. Then I tried dog nail clippers. I would have needed a doggie straight jacket to get Mari still enough for these clippers. Next I tried people nail clippers. I was able to get two front paw nails clipped but that was it. Mari wasn’t having any more of that technique.Today the K&K Dog Nail Grinder arrived. My daughter spent half an hour playing with Mari and used the nail grinder as part of the play. My daughter said Mari let her trim a few nails and my daughter feels sure by tomorrow she will be able to do the rest without any doggie issues. This evening I put the nail grinder on the floor by Mari and after an initial look, Mari sniffed it and walked over the grinder with no concern. It’s now an OK part of her environment. What’s different about this nail grinder? The first thing I noticed and Mari noticed is that this nail grinder is quiet, even on high speed. Unlike the Dremel drill the sound of this nail grinder did not scare my pup. It’s small at 8” tall and less than 2” wide, about the size of an electric toothbrush, so the size didn’t scare Mari. It recharges with the included standard USB cord, and that is a convenience factor to me. This nail grinder comes with an extra grinding head, which is the manufacturer thinking ahead for the customer’s convenience. My daughter, who is a better dog trainer and dog mom than I, showed me how playing with Mari and incorporating the nail grinder (and some treats) took away Mari’s fear of this strange new object that occasionally touches her paws. They played with the grinder alternating it between the two different speeds and with it switching from off to on. I appreciate my daughter training me, along with the dog, about how to use the nail grinder on Mari with no drama and no trauma.I am happy that my dog is accepting the nail grinder and overcoming her fear of her nails being trimmed. The nail grinder is lightweight at 8.5 ounces and fits well in my hand. Because it’s small and lightweight it’s easy to maneuver around a dog’s paws. And it’s easy to switch hands while doing the puppy’s nails. The grinder has a built in LED light that is aimed straight past the grinder head to light up the working area. This feature works well to find those nails hidden by all the toe fur. The area where the grinding head is located has 3 different size openings to accommodate large dog nails to small dog nails. Along with very low noise when the unit is on at either speed the nail grinder has very little vibration. Again, this helps prevent the fear Mari had faced with my trying to use the Dremel drill to trim her nails. The USB charging cord and an additional grinding head being included in this set are great functional extras that add to the value of this product. Both my daughter and I are extremely pleased with the K&K Nail Grinder. My daughter wants to purchase one for her Akita and her Corgi. This nail grinder definitely gets 5 stars. My reviews are based on my honest opinions about a product. I use a product, usually several times, before I write a review of a product.

    didn’t last long
i was excited to use this as i do my own grooming for our pup. he is barely 10 pounds, but he is so hypher that grooming is a task. he never wants to sit still.he has all black nails, so i am really careful with the trimming of his nails since there is no marking to let you know how short to cut them.typically, i only cut them down 4mm and then use a nail grinder. i’ve been doing this to all of our pets for years and never had any issues with it.this grinder i was looking forward to making the task a little easier.it has a light on it that you can use to guide you as you’re using the nail grinder and it has a cap type of attachment that you can also use to guide your way from grinding too far.this worked out fairly well the first time using it. make sure to fully charge the device first before using. however, after the 2nd time, this wouldn’t operate anymore. it wouldn’t charge properly either.the light indicating the charge would just flicker, and trying to power this on and get it to work again wasn’t possible.so this ended up being a waste. i had to order a new one from a different company instead.
