Super lightweight, slight smokey wood scent, good clumping, great odor control.
Update: odor control is amazing! I’ve been trying a few different wood based litter and this one by far out performs the rest. My housemates rarely even notice when my cat uses this litter. Keeping the litter box in my bedroom I have notice I will sleep through the use of this litter vs when other boxes are used. This is my new preferred litter!!These pellets are super lightweight, it was shocking, most wood pellets I’ve tried are quite heavy. Work great with cats who have trouble with the heavier wood pellets.I mix wood pellets for scent control with tofu pellets and I love how well these clump and hold together. These are a little dusty once they break down, but fine if scooped soon after clumping. Some reviews mention lack of odor control, but I found these to be better than other wood pellets I’ve tried. Mind you they don’t work great if your cat doesn’t bury their business.

Make sure you read carefully, unlike me
It is my fault for not reading carefully but I thought I was buying 14 lbs of pellets for this price. You can buy many other wood pellets of similar quality for a better value. It is only 3.4 lbs and the same quality of other wood pellets that again are much better value.I only got these to try and transition my kitten to the breeze litter system. He was using clay litter and not taking to the breeze. So right these pellets are a similar color and shape of the breeze pellets so maybe he’ll eventually start using the 4 other breeze systems he’s refusing to use.So point being, I won’t be buying these again. Not enough of a value to make it wortg it.They didn’t have a chemical smell, so that’s a positive. They aren’t good with odor control though. Kitten went this morning and could smell it two rooms away. Yes there’s no dust because it’s not clay. I can’t comment on cleaning yet. I’ll update review if it’s yucky.

Not the best
I bought this as a test, after using tofu litter and being really pleased. First off, it is lightweight. Easy to manage for someone with RA. I thought the cypress smell was going to be a little stronger, so I was disappointed in that, and I was disappointed that it really did not clump well, at all. My cats didn’t mind it, but when they urinated, the pellets turned to muck. Not so easy to scoop and it stuck to the side of the pan. Also, it does track a lot more than tofu litters. Odor control was also not as effective.

Less mess and no smell!
For months I’ve been looking for a good litter that doesn’t smell and doesn’t leave a mess all over the house. I’ve tried several brands and materials, from crystals, sand, tofu and it was always a nightmare to clean and specially the smell. My cats would have litter clumps all over their paws. I decided to give this one a chance and it was the best thing ever. Besides being super light weight, it doesn’t smell, whenever I scoop I only smell the wood from the litter, I have 4 cats in the house and they all seem to like it, and it also doesn’t leave a big mess compared to other materials. I highly recommend and I will be using this litter moving forward.

Hated by Cats
My cat had no issues with finding or going in the litter box before this switch, but now he’s since peed in pretty much every other room in the house – on beds, in plant pots, in laundry baskets. I mean, we could tell he hated this stuff from the start but thought we’d give it some time. Not worth it.The pellets are large and uncomfortable, they get stuck in his toes, so he kicks them everywhere.Worst of all clean up absolutely sucks. It’s so frustrating trying to scoop disintegrating mush. Going back to Boxiecat.

Lightweight and natural smell
This was my first time trying a wood pellet as an alternative to clumping clay litter so be advised, a lot of my comments or observations may be related to wood pellets as a whole and not necessarily this specific brand or product. When the bag arrived it was smaller than I expected and extremely lightweight – I was skeptical that this would really be a 1 month supply. I wasn’t sure how my cat would take to it so I put about 1/3 of the bag over top of the clumping clay litter he is used to. He was cautious but didn’t give me any problems about the new litter and used his box normally. When it came time to clean it my biggest struggle was that my scooper was made to sift smaller sand-like clay so it was hard to pick up just the clumps and waste alone. I would suggest a scooper that has larger holes so you don’t wind up losing good pellets in this process. I was pleasantly surprised how well the pellets clumped the urine waste. Since switching fully over to this, I haven’t noticed any issues with bad smells, in fact I notice less of that “ammonia” smell that you get with clay litter. One other major positive is that since the pellets are larger it tracks less than clay litter. My cat has one of those drop-in boxes with a top lid that has a small opening so I try really hard to contain the mess and I think switching to this type of litter has helped tremendously. Although the bottom of the bag has some dust I would say overall it’s a lot less dusty than clay litter. I ordered a second bag of this and I’m looking for a new type of scooper. Probably my biggest pro is how lightweight it is and even taking out the waste/clumps that trash bag ends up being a lot less heavy as well. I am really impressed – I am still mulling over how long one bag really lasts since the cost is about double per package of my previous litter. So I may stick with this brand or I may explore other brands of wood pellet litter but all in all I am very pleased.
