Replaced all our other litter scoops
We’ve always used plastic litter scoops in the past and never really had a problem. They’re cheap, you can keep one with each litter box and just throw them out when they get too nasty. I finally got fed up with one of the flimsy plastic scoops that comes with some litter boxes though and splurged a bit on this one. I didn’t think it would make that much difference but wow, it is so much easier to use. It’s a lot sturdier and that makes it so much easier to scoop through deep litter. The holes are the prefect size, litter falls through easily but everything else stays behind. And litter just slides right off with barely a shake. Plus it stays so much cleaner than our plastic scoops. We end up carrying this one all through the house when we’re cleaning litter.The only kind of downside to this is the holder. It’s not weighted so it tends to tip over way too easily. Right now I’ve got it wedged in place with the litter bag so it’s not a problem but I wish they designed it just a bit better. It looks nice and it’s easy to clean. It just doesn’t always stay upright on it’s own.Overall this was a bit more than the plastic scoops but it is really worth it.

Very sturdy and easy to use
I like the weight of the scoop. I was using a plastic one before, but the metal makes it easier to maneuver in the cat box. The holder is open enough to pick up and take outside to clean and clear, if need be. I purchased a small foot tab trash can for litter that I keep by the box..I use a small bag liner that I just lift out to deposit in the outside trash when filled. I also have a litter box mat that I purchased on Amazon that works well for errant litter that my cat may carry out of the box.. It catches in small holes that make up the surface and filters down . When necessary, I take it outside and turn it on its side, to dump any litter that it captured. I purchased the very small stainless steel trash can from Costco. It came in a pack of 2 and I use the other one for collecting wet kitchen scraps to be collected in a specific trash outside trash can, as per the residential food waste recycling program in my area.. Amazon might also have small stainless steel trash cans… They work well, with just a foot tap to lift the lid. Hope this helps.

The scooper is huge in the container so it moved around a lot and it’s top heavy so if you’re carrying it in the container, it’s easy to drop. One of the two plastic pieces of the holder were broken almost immediately.

They are sturdy and seem to get clumps of all sizes. They stay fairly clean but all the same,I love the little scoop caddy that comes with it! And an extra goodie bag ( cat toys) came with each!

This doesn’t stand up. Falls over.
There is no counterbalance on the bottom part of the scoop holder so it falls over if you don’t prop it up against something. It also falls apart because if you pick up the bottom scoop holder the very bottom piece falls out and makes a mess. The scoop is good but the holder is seriously flawed.

I bought, because it had great reviews. I was looking for a smaller holed litter scoop.. this is definitely NOT it. It is a heavy duty scoop, but not was i was looking for. The plastic holder is cracked on the bottom and it is NOT returnable via Amazon (wish I had known) no idea how to contact seller…. and… where do you get these bags that they show in the Ad? It was really quite expensive, 28$ and now I am stuck with something that is broken.Last thing I’ll say is… Buyer Beware!
