Safe Room for Mr Kitty
This was perfect for our needs. We’re keeping an outdoor cat for our daughter. He came with a playpen, which he stays in at night. We tried various methods of keeping it warm in the Winter. Like a heat lamp plus: tarps, blankets, quilts, thermal sheets, etc. It all worked at holding in heat, but he destroyed about everything we tried. I think he hated being unable to see out. We also have racoons that come around, and try to get his food, and they sometimes disturb the heat lamp. One time, the heat lamp scorched a quilt. It looked like it was close to catching on fire. This cat house fit perfectly inside the playpen, and now he has a safe warm place to retreat to, and he’s able to go out and see what’s going on if he wants to, and there’s no danger of raccoons getting to him or setting the house on fire. Once setup, it’s also much easier to put him away at night, and let him out in the morning. There are no tarps or quilts to move. The playpen is open during the day. He loves to explore, but I often find him in his new cat house in the middle of the day. I think he likes to nap there. I think he really likes it.This cat house resides in a playpen that is on a porch, under a roof, so I can’t really comment on how well this would work if fully exposed to weather. But for our situation, this thing is perfect.

Sadly, I live out in the country so we tend to get a lot of “dropoffs” around here. I wish I could take them all in but I just can’t. We have a new spicy cat who just does not like people. Since I live in the snow belt, I decided to try this product as a compromise. This heated cat house was easy to install. It seems well-made and the material is thick. The opening of the house sits 3 inches off the ground. The heating pad works as advertised. It has timers on it so you’re able to adjust to your needs.

This is perfect for our little feral kitty that doesn’t want to come inside. Note, the temperature isn’t normal Fahrenheit temperature so double check before use, highest works for us. Easy to build, good quality and size is great!

Warm and convenient for outside cats
Bought 3 for my 3 barn cats, was pretty easy to assemble, did have a hard time with the base but eventually got it together. Great size! I have to jeep the temperature on high and reset the timer everyday so it doesn’t shut off. Also have to put the heating pad on top of the foam base to feel the heat inside.
