Best Winter Dog Coat Ever
Love this dog coat!!! The jacket is fleece-lined and has a water-resistant shell. The harness is built in and fits nicely. I very much feel like the dog is securely fastened in the jacket and can’t get away. That’s been the trouble with some “built-in harnesses” – they’re really made for well-behaved pups. Mine are well-behaved until they see that it’s snowing out, and then they want to play, roll around, and pull… This jacket covers my Cairn Terrier (a short dog with a long back) from his neck all the way down, right to his tail, with plenty of room underneath to do his business without making a mess, but covers his chest fully. The neckline can be adjusted, too, to keep the snow and wind out. It is very easy to get on my dogs, too. I put my hands through the arm holes with the fleece side facing away from me and grab my dogs front paws and get him to stand on his hind legs and let the jacket go from my wrists to his front legs. Then I let him stand on all fours, pull the sides of the jacket up and zip it closed. Buckle the two buckles and we’re ready to put on the leash and go. I love that its so easy, I don’t have to get on the ground and beg my pup to come over and lay down and struggle with straps under his belly. The zipper up the back and buckles on the side are so easy! Truly the best winter coat I’ve ever bought for any of my dogs – good fit, good warmth, and good security. Very happy with this purchase.

Easy to put on
Since he was a puppy he had several coats but this is the first one he really liked. Smart dog, knows what is happening when the coat comes out. Other coats were difficult to get him in and he fought them. This one you just lay out in front, step in feet one at a time, flip over his head and snap. No hassles getting him in it. I call well designed, warm, and most of all comfortable. He runs and jumps and the coat does not restrict his movement.

Great Design but Poor Quality Zipper
Purchase for our Great Dane mix. She is nearly all black and the bright color is great for night visibility, especially in rural areas with few street lights. Temperatures are typically in the 20s to low 40s in the winter and this coat kept her warm. It also has ample room for barrel chested breeds. The zipper closure on the back is a huge plus for ease in dressing your pooch and the fabric seems to be durable. My only complaint was the zipper broke recently. Debating if I will try my sewing skills to replace or look for another coat next year. It’s a shame as I really love the way this coat is designed.

nice design!
I’m super pleased with this coat for my blue wheeler, Buddy Boy. This size XL fits perfectly. Buddy is little bigger than the breed standard (22” tall and 55 lbs) but normally wheelers are considered to be medium sized dogs so be aware this coat runs a bit small so be sure to measure!The coat is great! The design is quite nice and the materials are first rate. It may take a little practice to put on at first but nothing too bad. The fleece is very high quality and the shell is very nice material that looks like it would do well with spray on waterproofing. The zipper is a nice zipper like you’d expect in any qualityfleece jacket for a human. I’m sure this will keep Buddy nice and warm on our long training hikes.

Really nice
Wasn’t sure about this coat but the coat is very nice and made well and fit my 10lb shitzu perfectly. It seems like it will be water proof and warm. The harness is heavy duty not flimsy. And the claps are substantial. My dog is very energetic and walking her I’m always afraid of her breaking the coat or leash lol. So I was searching for a coat that would work lol. Haven’t taken her out with it yet because just got it today but I think it’s gonna work. So don’t listen to negative reviews it’s a good quality coat. People complain about the harness part but if you get a cheap harness type it will probably break. I don’t thinks it’s too much but just right.

Perfect for a windy or super cold day!
Be sure to measure your dog based on the provided specifications! I’m glad I did. I was a little worried to be ordering a size XL for my 40 lb slender pit bull/boxer/shepherd mix but it fits her perfect! Super nice lined fleece insides, very easy to put on with the step in and back zip, and the harness piece works great for leash attachment and walking. It gets super windy where I live and when the temps dip the wind-chill is cold. I walk my dog a lot and I can tell she was super happy to get her own jacket!

Quality is great but the harness and buckles are too big and heavy for XS dogs.
Quality of the coat itself is great. It has microfleece lining and it sure looks warmly. The only thing to consider is if you have a smaller dog (chihuahua, yorkie … ), dogs wearing XS are the buckles. There are two buckles sewn in serving as the harness. The buckles are huge. They are meant for a bigger dog and it made this winter coat in XS very heavy for lightweight dogs weighing 5-7 lbs. It’s a bit much for an XS winter coat. Unfortunately, I’ll have to send this one back.

Not the best for rowdy dogs
The sizes on these are wrong. My dogs chest girths ranged from 29″-33″. According to the size chart, they would all wear a 2xl. The 2xl swallowed my 29″ & 31″ girls. When I measured the coat, it was 39″ through the chest. I ended up getting them the xl and it fit great. My 33″ girl is between sizes so I stayed with the 2xl for her. One of the great things about this coat is that the built in harness is adjustable.This coat is easy to put on, keeps my dogs warm, covers them all the way to their rear without getting in the way of their potty, and are pretty darn cute.I like that I can attach their leash to the built-in, adjustable harness for more control. The problem is with the D-ring on the harness. My 70 lb great dane pup got startled and tried running away. The D-ring separated, allowing the leash the slip off and my pup was loose, running into the street. To make this a truly quality product, the D-ring should be welded shut.If your dog is chill, this coat should be great for you. Just remember the size chart is off by about 6″ on the chest girth.

Of the dog coats I have purchased, this one is the coziest and warmest! Very nicely made and love the harness built into the coat! Our fur baby will stay nice and cozy warm on the coldest of days and nights now! The only think I wish is that the coat wasn’t as long under the belly due to the fact that our boy pees on it. I am going to have to cut the under belly portion back and re-sew. I find most dog coats have this issue. Too bad they couldn’t develop coats made for males where the under belly is shorter.

We purchased this jacket because it look like it was made for colder winter days. Yes, it turns out it has a heavier build and was very good for this purpose. It was about 2 inches too long but it fit great everywhere else so not a big deal. It doesn’t bother her when she does her business. Maybe a better selection of colors as we only saw the one.

Fit really well and only problem was my old set in his ways dog not wanting to cooperate but once he realized it was no big deal he was fine. I partiburly like zipper closure on top, not Velcro.

Very pleased with this good quality, well built dog coat that actually fits my (female) Great Dane! It’s easy to out on and take off, the zipper and buckles are rugged and the coat fits very well. Would definitely buy again!

Bought the XL for our 55 lb Weimaraner and it fits perfectly. Warm fleece lined interior, waterproof exterior and reflective strips are the 3 things I was looking for in a coat and this one has them all! I like the harness clip for her leash so that I don’t have to put hers over top. Highly recommend!
