I started using Litter Genie about 13 years ago. Despite what type of kitty litter we were using, I always needed to take kitty litter bags outside – there was no way to keep them inside without our entire home smelling terribly. The Litter Genie was great – it trapped odors 100%. I was afraid odors would quickly spread in those brief moments I opened the genie to dispose of new litter, but it did not. This truly is an amazing product.Switching in and out new cartridges of bag filler is a little tricky for me, so I really like that each of these cartridges hold several months’ worth of bag filler. This Jumbo size really is worth the investment!!

Five stars for litter genie
If you don’t have a litter genie do yourself a favor. It’s relatively inexpensive and refill bags are cheap. It works like a diaper genie. The litter is trapped inside a plastic bag and in a one cat household lasts more than a week before disposal. I used to throw the litter in my regular garbage and it always stunk. With the litter genie there’s no odor. Well worth the investment

Does the job
They should not even sell the smaller standard version as this one fits into the contraption and lasts much longer, which means one goes through fewer of those cassettes that add to the waste/recycle pile.The product itself works fine. Obviously totally overpriced for what you get – basically just a very long plastic bag – but it does the job well.

I sure wish that I had known about this product prior to this year or else I would have bought a Litter Genie and these plastic cartridges as soon as they hit the market. They reduce the amount of work in clearing an storing away cat waste. The more cats you have, the more of a requirement I would consider a Litter Genie and these plastic cartridges, which are easy to use once you understand the by using the Litter Genie’s built-in cutter so that you can take the bag of waste to your dumpster. I have 3 cats and it takes 3-4 days of waste between them to get enough of waste in the plastic to warrant cutting the plastic to knot it to take it to my outside dumpster.
