So good for odor control!!
I’m so glad that Litter Genie came out with their own branded refill bags! I previously bought an off-brand and they didn’t control the odor to the point that I thought my older Litter Genies were no longer working; however, when I saw the actual brand had these available, I was so happy to find that my Litter Genies work just fine! These are thick and don’t break. They fit the refill cartridges perfectly and are so easy to swap out once you get used to the process. I love that these are more sustainable since I can reuse old cartridges and not have to throw them away. Nothing compares to the odor control of the actual Litter Genie branded refills – these are totally worth it!!

These are so bad I rather go back to disposing used litter in plastic grocery bags daily.
I don’t know how the original brand is worse than the target brand bags. These broke, dirty litter everywhere. They do NOT contain the smell even a little. They are so much thinner than the target brand. The only reason I bought these was cause they were genuine litter genie brand and was cheaper. I will never buy genuine litter genie products again which is a shame.

I’ve been using these Litter Genie Refill Bags, and honestly, I’m really impressed. They work just like the original Litter Genie bags and were super easy to install. One thing I really appreciate is that there’s a lot less waste—especially since I can reuse my original plastic cartridge. They also fit perfectly in a third-party cartridge like the Litter Locker, which gives you more flexibility.In terms of performance, these refills do an excellent job at locking in the smell of soiled cat litter. They’re just as effective as the preloaded cartridges and seem just as durable. The bags are strong and seal in the odor really well—no unpleasant smells escaping, which is a huge win in a home with a cat.Another big plus is the price. At $27 CAD for 6 refills, it’s a much more affordable option compared to constantly buying new cartridges with bags already installed. Even though they might be slightly pricier than some off-brand alternatives, I’ve found they actually work better at controlling odor—just like the original.I have a 5-year-old cat, and these refills are going to last us quite a while. I don’t find a lot of difference between these generic bags and the actual Litter Genie bags. The only differences I really noticed are the fact that the Odor Control is not quite up to par with the Litter Genie bags. after a bit some smell does start to come through but I have not found it to be that bad yet. I guess the coming warm weather will tell.The only other difference I’ve noticed is that the plastic is not as clear as the Litter Genie bags. it’s more of a blue that you cannot see through. It doesn’t really make much of a difference but when carrying it down to my green box it’s not as obvious that I’m carrying a large bag of kitty poop.The fact that these bags use less plastic and cost less money per cartridge refill makes these bags okay in my books and I intend to keep using them until I come across some problem.

I am so happy to have come across this bulk pack of litter bags for my litter genie, as it means it’s less plastic waste that is used overtime. As much as I enjoy having a bulk pack of cartridges, I did find that it was quite unnecessary to keep having recycle the hard plastic cartridge. Getting the bags just on their own is not only cost-effective, but then it cuts down on the hard plastic cartridges that need to be made.

I tried these with an official LitterLocker II square cartridge. You will have to cut out the plastic lip on the cartridge so that the films can easily go into the cartridge, I also lightly sanded down the edge where the lip was cut out to smooth it down to prevent possible snags with the films just in case.In terms of performance, they are on par with the plastic films that come with the LitterLocker cartridges. I did not have any leaks nor smells.I like the fact that I can hold on to a cartridge for longer, thus minimizing my plastic consumption.
