Recommended for people with a lot of cats
We buy these. The value of these is unbeatable bc we have 6 cats. The size fits perfectly in the can,it works just like the original one. They remove from the can easily when setting it up.

Why haven’t I know about this sooner?
When one has almost 2 dozen cats, he looks for ways to save $$$ on essential items such as litter bags.I was initially skeptical, being so used to the litter genie system, but I needed to do something, so after looking at reviews, videos and all, I decided to try these.I thought it would be much more difficult to fit the “cartridges” with the bags, but this is actually about as simple and easy as you could expect. First mission accomplished.Then I was worried about bag strength as these bags DO get filled up and are “heavy”, but these handle the weight just fine. I have not had a bag i was even thinking would break. Second mission accomplished.Then the odor problem. Litter does work very well controlling litter box odor, but so do these!!!!! I honestly CANNOT tell any difference in the ambient smell. we do not have any litter box odors, even guests coming to visit cannot smell litter box odors. So, third mission accomplished.Do yourself a favor, try these, you will not be disappointed.

Economical..strong, tab issue
Just tonight I ran out of the original LG bag cartridge…earlier today, I received this 9 pack of bags from my order. Removing the scored cartridge strip was easy, broke away cleanly. These particular bags had only one wrap around them. (Not 4 as shown on instructions.) Installing it in the cartridge frame was fine, took a little extra time to make sure the included lid snapped into the old cartridge…pulling the starting bag (with the start sticker) was fine, but the flaw was the locking lid over the cartridge..it kept popping the tab. I improvised, and inserted a small piece of cardboard in the tab’s gap, and got it to lock. I just started using it, and will update on the quality of the bags. (Odor, and rips, etc.)Update 2/18/24:Now that I have emptied a bag, I added a star to my original reply because these did indeed appear very sturdy and good odor control. I still need to keep pressure on the lock tab, but so far what I did for that is working.

Make sure you keep the refill container
I was confused as to how I was suppose to use these.There’s a picture detailed instruction card that comes with the bags. Great, very helpful.First, the picture of the bags on the instruction card, doesn’t match what a packet of bags looks like (it shows 4 paper bands around a packet of bags, but 1 packet of bags has just 1 paper band around it). Ok figured that out.Second, it shows a refill cartridge in the picture, but it doesnt come with one. (And yes I realize now, the picture and description on Amazon says it doesn’t come with a refill container. And the bottom of the instruction card, states that too. So don’t throw out the empty one, because you’ll need it. Dumb me.)Third, I buy the generic refills for the litter genie and they are WHITE. The picture on the card shows a BLACK refill cartridge, which the original little genie refills are black. (It didnt dawn on me at the time, that not everyone buys generic and the manufacturer of the refills i get, made the refill containers white, duh generic) So I was confused as to what the black part was they give you. I had no idea how I was suppose to insert the bags into the reusable container. Yes, the description card shows you’re suppose to put the bags in the refill container, but I had trouble trying to shove them in the refill container between the part where the bags sit and the inner part that holds the bags in the container. The card shows you just place them in the container, but I didnt understand how you just dropped them in the container. Light bulb moment…..Little did I know, the inner plastic part of the refill container (that the black piece looks like), can be torn off of the refill cartridge, so you can just place the bags into the refill container without struggling with them and then you put the top they give,(the black plastic top) on top of the middle part and it clicks in place to keep the bags held in the container. (Make sure you here a “click” when you place the top snug on the container and bags, so you know the bags are secure, before you pull the bag out to make a new litter bag.)Now that I know how to use these, I’ll continue to buy because it’s cheaper, the bags seem thicker, and it looks like you’ll get more bags from the bunch than you would w the store refill bags. I hope my review helps.

Formula changed, different product now
I used to buy these generic bags as a cheaper replacement for the name brand Litter Genie version. They were the same bags back then, if not close in quality with no discernable difference.From what I can tell, the generic version is all made by the same company, just rebranded, as I bought the generic version from 2 different generic brands.Fast forward today, with this last batch I bought as of this August, the texture and material feels softer and less heavy duty feeling. When I would scoop the litter box and place it into this bag when used in conjuction with a Litter Genie box, it would no longer contain the smell. The smell would immediately fill the room. I usually never emptied and tied the bag until it was almost full. I never had a problem with the last good batch or the original Litter Genie branded version.Even when tied off on both ends awaiting the trash, the smell would still somehow leak out of the bags. Extremely unfortunate as it would attract flies.I wonder if Litter Genie forced the generic bag maker for all of the generic brands to cease and desist their product, and forced them into making a lower quality should they want to be on the market.If what you ordered comes with the bags folded nicely and tidy like blankets, that’s the new formula version that sucks. If your order comes in where it’s stacked with the bag squeezed together and held into the square shape with paper tape or styrofoam, that’s the good old version.With that, I have to go back to the note expensive Litter Genie brand because I can’t deal with it anymore.It’s still good for same day removal and trash, but leave it in for a day or two before it’s full, it stinks.

So you need the base for this if you don’t have it , It won’t work , the product comes with a lid to close the bags in the BaseAnd then you just use it like the other one!

Quick summary: these work with the litter locker fashion, as long as you’re putting them in a litter locker fashion refill! They’re not cheap since they’re coming from the US, but it’s still way cheaper than buying individually so i’m very satisfied with the productSo it’s been very difficult to buy refills for the Litter Locker Fashion recently so I thought I’d try out some alternatives. Here’s what I foundFresh unaltered Litter Genie cartridge in litter locker fashion: ✅ works fine – it’s a bit of a tight squeeze to get it into the top but once it’s in, it works great.Litter Genie cartridge with Glomire refill in litter locker fashion: ❌ does not work – putting on the removable plastic bit makes the cartridge too flexible and it falls through and stops the litter locker from being able to closeLitter Locker fashion cartridge with Glomire refill in litter locker fashion: ✅ works great – the removable plastic part fits really well and it works exactly like an unaltered refillI’m happy with the quality of the bags as well.
