Not for heavy chewers!
This product is well made and a great idea but my dog is a heavy chewer and it only lasted three days. She chewed through the webbing. It states on the package that it might not be for heavy chewers. It otherwise was a good toy to relieve boredom.

My Dog Loves this exercise toy
My dog loves this. I loop finger crocheted the rope to shorten it and hung it over a strong branch high enough the is off front legs to access. Hanging and tugging improves back leg strength. She used at least 40 to 60 hours and it has held up great. The activity tires her out and it a great complement to ball chasing. Owner 79 pound female Doberman.

Our dog loves this! This is the third one we have purchased. They last about a year and then need replaced.

Some parts are not the correct product for longevity.
This toy is a great idea. The dog loves it and it gives him mental stimulation and entertainment he needed. However it will not last very long as the strap that holds the tug toy is a very chewable material. And they put a “yellow reflector” in the strap. Who thought of that? The yellow reflector just entices the dog to grab that reflector instead of the tug toy. We have a Dutch Shepherd and the teeth are incredibly sharp. This toy may last the first day he has it. Christmas Gift… We will reinvent it with proper materials for dogs with sharp teeth while still utilizing the bungee part the dog can’t reach. Over all a great idea but poor manufacturing design for actual dogs.

This product is obviously well made. Our 150lb mastiff tugs for hours… I’m pretty sure his goal is to tear the branch off the tree! Ha! Installation is relatively easy depending on the size of tree you have available.

great dog toy
hyper boarder collie really enjoys active interactive playtime & this fit the bill. we wrapped around tree trunk & tossed over thick limb so its off ground & not in the way of the lawn mower. she enjoys jumping at it causing it to recoil back. she tugs on this for awhile before loosing interest. not sure how the braided “toy” end will hold up to the aggressive biting & i will no doubt b removing that piece periodically to sanitize because of possible mold. i might look for a looped ended harder rubber toy to replace braided toy.

I have had it up hanging from tree and lasted from summer to early fall (4-5mo.) and not overly used by a 70lb Belgian Malinois but the strap tore/snapped and the bungee part frayed for whatever reason. Never heard back from the seller despite my messages and pics. This is maybe good for a 20lb dog and not for the outdoors. Reviews of people with two mastiffs using it with no problems is misleading. Product & service is lousy.Update April 20/23: changed to 3.5 Stars I was contacted by the seller 8 months later and immediately sent us a replacement. the delay was as result of miscommunication. I will was pleased with their eventual action. I will see how long the tug lasts this time around and will report.
