Much Better Than Plastic!
I’ve been switching all of our Products to stainless steel or metal where possible and so finally we got the scoopers. It’s literally like a deep frying basket but for your cat poop lol. It holds so much and sifts the litter really really well. I’m going to need to get a couple more of these!! Also love that it has the little built-in hanging hook that works on all of our different litter boxes! Super convenient.

Could be better
The design is great, the smaller screen in front is really useful. The wire used is probably strong enough, but the attachment to the handle feels like it’s going to break soon. If someone made this more durable, even at a higher cost, I would definitely buy it, but I doubt I would buy another of these.

That little screen on the bottom can be handy! Pretty good scooper!
I gave my cat box an extra cleaning just so I could test this out. I’ve been wanting a metal scoop for ages!Because of the angle and the extra built in screen, this takes some getting used to. The area with the larger holes pretty much does what every scoop does. You get the poop and the clumps. If you use clumping litter like I do, there are occasionally clumps that are a little more loose. For me, that’s where the screen helped. Instead of it falling back into the pan into smaller pieces, which just put dirty litter back in, I was able to shake off the good litter and still get the wet clump in the waste bag. And of course it will help for smaller poops also.Pretty darn good scoop! There is a rounded design in the metal that makes it seem like it can be hung. When I tried, it seemed to want to swing around so the metal side was down, which defeated the purpose of that piece, if that’s actually what it was. It may simply have been a design choice. I’m thinking if the handle were heavier then it could hang on a wall when not in use.

5-star concept, design could be improved upon
The concept by itself is 5 stars. I had a plastic bag with one small-hole scooper in it along with one large-hole scooper, and it could get a little bit cumbersome switching between them. This scooper solves that problem pretty well. Everything clumped beautifully? Use the wide-gapped part of the scooper. Bad day where all the clumps disintegrated into small pieces? Use the finer wire grid at the end of the scooper. No need to pull out a separate tool. There is one problem with the scooper to watch out for: it can catch on stuff. For me it’s an issue because I drop my “cat gifts” into smaller bags that don’t open up much wider than the scoop’s width, so the bag material can get caught a little bit in the wires/metal of the scoop. There is a small metal frame around the smaller grid, and there is a point where the scoop angles back into the main wide-gapped section next to the handle. Just at that angle, the corners of the metal frame extend outward from all the other metal on the scoop and those corners can catch on any bag or cloth they come into contact with.

Pretty good
I’m giving this 5 stars even though there is rust. I feel that it was well made and designed so that the areas of rust don’t bother me. Also, it’s not coming into contact with food but only used kitty litter, lol.The welds are strong and the metal feels sturdy as well. The handle is smooth and fits in my hands nicely. I use wood pellet litter and the one area allows the unused pellets to pass through while catching the poop easily. I have another similar scoop that is heavy plastic. They both do the job well and make quick cleaning a breeze.

Short handle scoop that is functional but not ideal.
This scoop definitely isn’t my favorite. The handle is very short and is a slick wood texture. I compared it to my metal scoop from Walmart, which was in the same price range, and I have to say that the Walmart scoop is actually way better. It has a longer, rubberized handle and the metal sifting scoop is bigger overall. This scoop appears to bend easily, and mine looks warped on the front sifting edge. Having the front half of the scoop sift fine particles through a screen isn’t very helpful, because the wider spaced wire at the back of the scoop does most of the work. The scoop does feature a hook so you can hang it on the side of your litter box, if you have a way to do that. Most hooded boxes won’t work with the hook, but an open top pan would. This scoop is lightweight, and I’m not sure I would trust it to last a long time without bending and warping more. For the list price, I would expect a better quality. Especially if Walmart is offering a sturdier, more comfortable scoop for the same cost. I mean, this will get the job done, but I’m not reaching for it first of the two scoops I have.
