Feels cooler than expected
I have a Pomsky dog, which is a Husky – Pomeranian mix. He is extremely fluffy and covered in a double coat of fur. This means he gets hot easily. He frequently hops up from the bed and lays on the hardwood floor to cool off.I placed this at the foot of the bed, in his spot. He sniffed it and stood on it briefly, but he refused to lay down on it. I left it up hoping he’d change his mind about it. While it was at the foot of the bed I noticed it was making my feet cold. I could actually feel its coldness. I was really surprised because I figured once this thing adapted to your body heat it would warm up and not stay feeling cool. It actually maintained a cold feeling. I ended up moving it off the bed because my dog wasn’t laying on it and it was making my feet cooler than I liked.I have tried to get my dog to lay on this repeatedly. He just won’t do it. I know he’d like it if he gave it a chance, but he won’t give it a chance. I’m wondering if it has some odor that my human nose doesn’t pick up on. I really can’t figure out why he doesn’t like it. He will lay on other blankets, even new ones with no trouble.The blanket seems to stay cool well. I was really skeptical that it would stay cool, but it does. It’s nice and big. The fabric is smooth feeling.I wish it was a plain, solid color and didn’t have this ugly print on it.In summary: It works great but my dog won’t use it.

If you have a pet, you need this.
If you have a pet that is customarily on the hot side, you need this cooling mat. I own quite a few for my furbaby and keep them everywhere. In the hotter months, I toss one on 2 of her 3 dog beds. There’s one in her stroller (she’s a senior and arthritic). I keep one on the carpet upstairs and in the family room as well as on her window seat. So, yes, everywhere lol. I’ve also gotten them for my grand-furbaby and he loves it.I don’t see any ‘color-changing’ properties but this one is different in that it has the cooling feature on one side (you can feel it right out of the package) and a more velvet on the reverse side. My dog runs hot … needs her window open at least 3″ in the coldest of weather … so we won’t be using that side.Easy to clean in cold or warm wash/regular dry cycle.I’m extremely happy with this item. It’s a lot bigger than she would probably need but I prefer her to have more room than less so she can lay and stretch out, eat her treats, nap or just play.100% recommend. If you have a pet, you have to own these.

Feels cooler than floor. Dog has been on it two nights in a row.
This is a unique surprise.I wanted a cooling pad for my 110lb dog and came upon this. I’ve had it two days, but here are my impressions:I have not noticed any color changing thermal aspect; to me, that is unimportant anyway.What I do know is my dog likes the tile floor or the laminate wood floors to sleep on. Preferable to him over his sleeping bed. Since the first day, he has slept band stayed in that pad and hasn’t left.Additionally, I walked over it barefooted and noticed how cool to the touch it is. I don’t understand why. It does have a cooling quality.I like that he isn’t putting in a bate floor, and that this item is washable so that he can stay cool, he’s not picking up dirt or dust in his coat, and it is very ka gebdir him to move about to get himself situated bestIt’s not a small mat at all ( the large size). As I said, a dog of his size (110lbs) is considered an “extra large dog” and this pad is big enough to fit him to lap in his side without any part of his body off of the map. That’s impressive.The only idea of how to perhaps objectively measure it’s coolness quality is to use my laster thermometer to get an idea if it is in fact cooler then the floor right next to him.It’s about 2 degrees difference, with the pad at the higher temp. However, it FEELS cooler; much cooler than the floor.My theory is that the material has lots of air dispersement going through it, there y feeling cooler. I don’t know, but the mat is absolutely cooler that the floor right next to it. And,bad I mentioned, my dog used to like to sleep in his bed next to my bed. Now, he’s been in the pad seemingly by preference. If manufacturer reads this, perhaps they could chime in on why this feels coole? I’m just curious. But my dog likes it, so I like it.(2 photos attached).

Keeps My Puppy Cool & Comfortable!
I ordered this cooling mat to help keep my puppy more comfortable during the summer. I really love the cute color and paw print design on the cooling side and that the opposite side is a soft fuzzy grey to keep her warm during the winter. I have this draped over her carseat to help her stay more cool during road trips and I have already noticed that she seems more comfortable and sleeps more soundly in the car.The blue side does turn white where she lays so it shows where her body heat is being drawn away and the mat seems very well made. The banded hem is double stitched and the mat itself is quilted so that all of the layers stay in place. My puppy is currently teething and so has mouthed it a few times, but hasn’t managed to leave a hole in it yet so it’s definitely durable. The mat is machine washable, but requests to be air dried in the shade. It does have some filling so it is lightly padded for comfort, but not so much so that drying it should take a lengthy amount of time.Overall, I am extremely pleased with it’s construction and visual appeal and I would definitely recommend it to others!

Highly recommended for the furbabies!
This is a huge, soft mat that is out of the bag very cool to the touch already. It’s double-sided, and the print is so cute! Best of all, my dogs love it. I have big German Shepherds and they get so got here in the south during the summer, even sometimes with the A/C going. I put this on the floor, and the biggest dog was immediately on it. And it’s not even hot yet. (Summers are mid 90’s to mid 100’s here in Georgia.) You can also wet this or put it in the fridge to get it even colder, which I may do when it gets hot here. The other side of this is warmer, so I may let our little Jack Russel mix use it in the winter if needed. Highly recommended for the furbabies!
