The durable MAXX medium/large dog bed in black is made with a water resistant, stain resistant and odor resistant polyester fabric that makes care easy and keeps bedding dry. The overstuffed polyfiber-filled bolsters and cushioned base provide your pet with comfort during all seasons. Our durable MAXX dog beds feature a “non-slip grip” surface on the bottom that’s perfect for hardwood or tile floors. MAXX pet beds are machine washable / dryer safe and fit inside most standard dog crates creating a comfortable and desired location for your dog or cat to relax. Please note that the Maxx pet bed is not “chew proof” but is more durable and will hold up longer than most cotton / polyester fabric blended pet beds. If your dog is an excessive chewer, we suggest keeping a chew toy with your pet in the crate in hopes your dog will chew the toy and not the pet bed. MidWest Homes for Pets stands behind the quality of our products with a 1-Year Manufacturer’s Warranty. If you have any questions regarding our dog beds or cat beds our customer service department would be glad to help you.

Finally an affordable, tough bed!
Really, really easy to clean. It does not have a removable, washing machine cover—rather it boasts a well-made sturdy outdoor water hose-able surface, which is our preference. I don’t have a giant washer, so that’s not even an option for us. This bed may work well in a machine, and I’d drop it at the laundromat if it needs it in the future. We have two Border Heelers—mixed Border Collie and Blue Heeler. Beautiful and amazing dogs. Also stronger than 90% of dogs, or 110% more stubborn. They have limitless tenacity. We have a place they love to go under our brick house—maybe it was used for wood storage accessed from outside, but it is perfect to keep them safe if a storm pops up while we are away. Our boy kept growing, and I heard him whimper crawling out of that hole…so we rolled the rock back over it to save him from arthritis and hip problems. Our girl is the perfect little size, but she loses the space as well. In order to feel secure, apparently, they literally bulldozed our pool fence—we have just invested $3,500 for a fence company to come out and install a higher quality fence. They dig 3 feet holes in the yard—they try to dig and tunnel under our sidewalk. Yes, we have working farm dogs on a regular property. We rescued the mother dog by keeping her when she showed up in terrible condition at our house ready to deliver 6 puppies. My husband fell in love with her—and I loved one of her boy puppies (hence the set of dogs). They are in a PetSafe invisible fence during the day out in the yard, and they are crate-loving babies who come in every night around dark. It was a gamble—and I’m glad I took it. They destroyed all blankets, but I can’t stand them in the crates with nothing. These are 100x better than nothing. They repel hair, water, and smell. They wash perfectly with the water hose and dry quickly. I use the pet hair sweeper over it, and all of that Collie hair practically jumps off of this bed. I could not recommend it more. I don’t think of our dogs as destructive chewers—but our boy would almost eat a woven blanket. The beds do not have any snags or parts that look good to chew on, which has been absolutely perfect. We couldn’t be more satisfied. Perfect fit for the crate. Also I really appreciate the loops for hanging on the back. No more draping over pool chairs!!We have been using two of them for about a month—will update in ) months. 100% recommend you giving this a chance! It’s always a gamble, and every dog is different. Oh, and our big boy dog comes in wet if he decides to take a dip in the pool—again, we are waiting on the fence company. The bed repels his dog + wet dog smell. They work perfectly for us!!

Perfect fit
The dimensions of this are dead-on accurate. The material is tough and there is an adequate amount of stuffing making it comfortable for Mr Knox. He especially likes the side bolsters. I would buy this again

Didn’t live up to my German shepherd
I was so excited to get this bed for my dogs crate since everyone was so happy with it. Typically my shepherd destroys anything in her crate with her so I decided to give this a try she wasn’t even in her crate 4 hours before she got a hole in it and started to pull stuffing out. She was only in it one day and it’s already destroyed. If you have an anxious shepherd or big dog do not get this. I love the crate pad for the quality but for living up to being indestructible it’s a zero

Good dog mat
Perfect size for my dogs kennel do wish it was a bit thicker but he loves it nonetheless. Easy to clean and vacuum

Best crate mat I’ve found for dogs that like to chew and/or may have accidents.
I got a second one of these after some time with the first one I bought proved that this was a great option for my dog needs. The dogs like them and seem to prefer this mat over some of the fluffier/cushier options they have to choose from. But big points for fulfilling its functional purposes perfectly at a reasonable cost. They can go in washing machine and dryer and there’s no hassle of having to fight with tight zipper and weird / cheap design features that if a dog pees on it. They’ve also held up against my power chewer who does enjoy deconstructing items and previously had to go without a crate mat. Now everybody’s happy.

Not durable
Used for less than a day and dog tore a hole in the bottom and pulled out the padding. I wish the fabric used on the top was also used for the bottom.

Great bed…lasted 10 months…
This is a great dog bed that fits our wire crate perfectly. NOTHING IS CHEW PROOF!!! So I will not rate this bed as such, but it is made well. If your dog chews something, that is YOUR FAULT and poor management of your dog. Instead of trying to find CHEW PROOF items which DO NOT EXIST, learn to properly manage your dog and not blame others or items for your lack of responsibility. With that said, I would love to see this bed come in Multicam. I would pay more for it if it did come in Multicam.

Durable and fantastic, until your dog finds the seams.
I loved the texture of the mat and the color stays pretty bright after a good wash. For a crate mat, it seems functional. My dog definitely liked sleeping in it. I’m writing this review several months after it was delivered to ensure I knew what I was reviewing for though, and boy did time tell the truth. We adopted a lovely pup when he was 11 weeks old. My now five month old lab/shepherd puppy from the humane society is weighing in at 50lbs, is hitting his velocitaptor stage, and has decided that the seams of this crate mat are the very best thing to chew on. Once the seam was opened, the stuffing began to fly. I would recommend only buying this for a non-heavy chewer, or using it as a place training tool outside of the crate. The size is perfect for a properly sized crate. Overall not a bad purchase, only wish the seams had been less delicious for my pup. In the images, you’ll see the opened seam, a second chewed on seam, and an untouched seam for reference.

This bed fits perfectly in the crate and is easy to clean. What I also love is that it isn’t too hot for my dog but comfortable.

My dog was able to chew through the “tough” layer on top in a matter of minutes. I bought this specifically for durability but it obviously didn’t hold up to those expectations. Shame

The bed has enough padding and the ‘bumper pads’ along the sides provide comfort against the wire of the dog crate. The pad fits in all corners. Very comfy for my 2 toy poodles!!
