Much Thinner Than Expected
This is listed as 1/4in, and it’s pretty close to that, but it’s not at all like the old rope we took off our cat’s scratcher. She really doesn’t seem to like it, she won’t scratch it anymore. I think it’s too thin and tightly wound for her liking, I could see this being used for a craft more than as a cat scratch post.

My cats love it!
It worked so well my cats attempted to rip open the product before I could apply it to the cat scratcher.My cats are quite picky, they want their scratcher NOT a new scratcher. I buy a new scratcher for them and they ignore it and go for the ratty, torn up original scratching post instead. So I got this to ‘refresh’ their scratching post and it worked like a charm. In fact they were so psyched to scratch it, they scratched up the package it came in first.
