So far so good! The first squeaky toy to ever survive my dog!! ^..^
My doggy is an aggressive chewer, and she destroys most toys within minutes of getting them. I bought her this “squeaky ball” for her birthday, prepared for it to last only minutes. Much to my pleasure and surprise, three days later, the ball is intact and still entertaining my dog…she loves it!The shape of this ball seems to discourage my dog from trying to use it as a chew toy…she squeezes it with her mouth to make it squeak, but not to destroy it. It wobbles and rolls along our hardwood floors, and she is having loads of fun chasing it, pouncing on it, and bringing it to me to toss for her.My dog is a fifty-five pound German Shepherd mix,and this ball is a good play size for her. Almost too big for her to carry in her mouth, but she can and does, but without excessively chewing it or tearing it. It is working out perfectly for us, and I couldn’t be happier. It’s so great to see her really enjoying a toy without being able to wreck it!The squeaker is loud, but I don’t mind, because it delights her!! :)Update: As of October 7, 2014, this is still my dog’s favorite toy! We play with it daily…she squeaks, chases, and fetches it with delight…when she thinks that I am not paying adequate attention to her, she finds this toy and squeaks it obnoxiously until I drop what I’m doing to come play! 😉 She has not punctured it, and it is squeaking loud and strong. I highly recommend this toy! 🙂

    Dog’s Favorite Toy!!!
This is HANDS DOWN!!!! Our dog’s favorite toy!!! Our dog is now 15 months old and she received her first one of these balls when she was about 7 months. She played fetch and chewed on it so constantly that she was able to dislodge the squeaker. We removed it for her safety, but kept the ball. I ordered two replacement balls and they are still in incredible condition. Nerf has managed to make a product that my 75lb English Labrador Retriever loves but can’t destroy. We have one for outside and one for inside. The squeaker is loud, but that helps us know where she is if she’s playing with it in the house. The ball flies true and my husband and I both love throwing it for her. The color makes it visible even in fading daylight and impossible to run over with a lawnmower if forgotten in the yard. We’ve had friends with their dogs come to play and they all go home and buy this product. Size wise, it is the mid-range football size. If those tiny novelty footballs are the smalls and the regulation balls are the larges, this is the medium. My dog destroys things easily as she loves to chew (don’t all Labs?) but she’s not even put a mark on this. She’s not worn a corner, or chewed off a single section. In fact, the first one, may well have sustained most of it’s damage from simply being thrown and landing hard. I HIGHLY recommend this product!!! I noticed the price has come down as well from when I purchased it and I wish I needed more- I would buy more!!

Dog’s perspective: BEST SQUEAKY TOY EVER!
OK, so the dog thinks whatever you’ve just handed him is THE BEST THING EVER! But this is a solid win. It squeaks, loudly, with only modest pressure. It bounces crazily when tossed. The dog loves to shake it, toss it, and then go tearing after it and pounce. My perspective: It’s loud. That’s entertaining for the dog but can be a bit much for me. On the plus side, it’s held up through heavy wear for several weeks, floats, and is easy to clean. The dog is still very entertained, even several weeks into it. Most toys are dismantled by this point.Verdict: Totally worth the bucks if you have a dog that likes squeaky toys.

    Loud but entertaining
My dog absolutely LOVES this toy, but it is so obnoxious. I put it away unless we are at the park, which I think makes him more excited to play with it. It’s loud, however I like the durability. There are no punctures in it so far and I’ve had it for a month. If you have a big dog who typically destroys his toys, then this is a yes.

    So loud
The squeak of the ball is super loud and that’s exactly why my dog loves it. I have an aggressive chewer who hasn’t managed to destroy even 1 of these. We have 3 now. The squeak eventually wore out on the oldest one but it’s been around a year. It’s still all in one piece and we still have fun with getting the dog to retrieve it. I think a worn out squeaker after a year of heavy use is allowed. Thank you to the manufacturer for making an entertaining, quality product that lasts. I truly feel like we got a good value for our money.

    Great ball
My Great Danes love these balls. And they last a long time. We buy 1-2 a year.

LOUDEST SQUEAKER ON THE PLANET! DOG “AIR HORN”
My dogs loved this toy. But my ears just could not stand the intensity and loudness of the squeaker. This has never happened before. My dogs are 65 lb and 55 lb and this toy is almost too large for their jaws and they have good sized jaws. Also a little heavy when I pitch to them and they try to catch it.All our dog toys have squeakers. So I’m use to my dogs squeaking toys all over the place. I even perform “surgeries” on toys to replace squeakers that have lost their squeak and their appeal to my dogs. But this toy is unimaginably LOUD. I mean loud enough that your neighbors will hear it.I’m not implying evil intent but I swear my dogs can see me cringe every time they squeak it. 🙂 Insanity due to auditory abuse inflicted by your dogs? This toy may be OK for outdoor play but I had purchased this for indoor fetch and it was too heavy duty for that purpose. It is made well and the rubber material appears durable. Just too heavy for indoor fetch if they miss and it goes bouncing off the furniture or lamps. Now if you wish to greatly annoy your wife, husband, partner or housemate then THIS IS IT!! Especially if they have a low noise threshold. I don’t and it still drove me crazy. The person I just demonstrated this toy to also cringed at the loudness and asked me to please STOP. She said her dog would use it outdoors to keep all the critters away from their place in the mountains. Yes, I can see her very large dog roaming their property scaring away skunks, bears, and the like with this version of a dog “air horn”.Your dogs will love this. Humans without ear plugs not so much.

My dog played for leas then 10mins and the squeaky sound is gone

  9. Shoe shopper

Dog loves it. Easy to pick up and good quality. Probably best for outside because the squeak is really loud.

Not an over exaggeration – my dog LOVES this ball (cuckapoo, 33 lbs). It’s easy for him to squish for the squeak sound, which he’s obsessed with (if you can’t stand squeakers, don’t buy this toy). Although it’s soft, it’s very durable. At first it seemed too big for him, but because it squishes easily he’s able to grab it with his mouth. Originally discovered this ball because one of his doggie friends has it. The downside is that it’s VERY DIFFICULT TO FIND (can’t order this particular Nerf Ball through Canadian pet stores), so forced to buy it from Amazon where it’s definitely OVERPRICED – most of the time it’s listed for over $30! I just kept watching (for a long time) and got it for $21 (which is still overpriced, but I knew it would be well played with). The other Nerf Ball he likes is the Tire Trax Squeaker Ball (medium size), for all the same reasons as this football: soft, easy to squeak, yet durable – but it’s also VERY DIFFICULT TO FIND.
