Dog Loves Chewing Nylabones
My dog loves these see-through chicken flavored flexible bones. He prefers this type rather than the very hard non see-through bones. It keeps her busy when I’m busy and my puppy does not go after things he shouldn’t!!!!! I however wish they would have packages of the smaller ones with maybe 4 per pack instead of one giant long one. She has an easier time handling the smaller ( aprrox 6 inch ones) The large ones are fine for the bigger dogs but a multi pack of smaller ones would be awesome for us. These are her very favorite type of bones with the flexible material and chicken, or other meat flavoring Thiis is a wonderful product. Hopefully these are made with quality US produced materials. One caution however: as with any chewing product–you should moniter how long you let them chew and how much and how often. Sometimes as with any product bits and pieces come off after prolonged chewing and can dislodge and be swallowed which is not good in large amounts. So you must take these away after a while and replace them if you see too much breaking off. If I would see that these become cheapened and use foreign materials which can be subject to consumer warnings–I would definitely be forced not to buy them for my dog

Great for new puppies!
I (my family) have used Nylabone products for years. I always start -and recommend this product to anyone I know is getting – a new puppy on these bones. They’re flexible, which I feel is better for the little baby teeth before 6 months of age than the harder bones, and I’ve personally never had – or known a puppy to turn these down! So, when my daughter got herself her own first puppy, this was what we got for her! She loves it! The thing I really like about these bones is the way they hold up and don’t come apart in big pieces. Of course, you need to get the appropriate size for the puppy as a large breed could probably do a number on the smaller ones and you don’t want too small of a bone for choking risks. Also, as with any toy, proper supervision is always advised. I became familiar with these bones years ago when I was Vet. Tech. and have never been disappointed. This has been my go-to choice for the first bone for my puppies for over 20 years and I have witnessed many a safe and happy chew! Happy puppy- ing🐶

Would be great for light chewers?
Purchased 3 of these for my dogs (3yr old 90#, 6mo old 40#, and 2yr old 50#) and had to pull them within 10 minutes. All 3 dogs had begun to pull larger chunks from the toys and swallow them, so I immediately took them away.I wanted to start with the Flex types because I’ve had a dog fracture a premolar on a hard Nylabone. Unfortunately, the Flex is a bit too light-duty for my gang. The chunks coming off could easily cause digestive issues if eaten. Be sure to closely observe dogs with any chews.Four stars because the purchasing experience was fine, but honestly I wouldn’t even consider these safe for “moderate” chewers. Just purchased some of the firmer bones – fingers crossed.

Destroyed in Under 10 Minutes by a Heavy Chewer
I was hopeful for this bone but our 78.6 pound golden retriever/Labrador mix destroyed this thing in under 10 minutes. She is a heavy chewer, the vet said she needed softer bones to help protect her teeth. This one was just too soft so it might be a good solution for a less aggressive chewer. It did not take long for her to work the curved shaped end off. She got one side off and we took it away because we noticed smaller pieces were breaking off too and didn’t want her to swallow anything. Three stars because our pup really enjoyed the flavor and texture of the bone, I mean she jumped for joy when she saw it, and started chewing on it immediately, but it just wasn’t strong enough for her power chewing.

Puppy chewed up in seconds
Rusty Customer –
This is the softer style Nylabone. Good for moderate chewers.

Our staffie/jack russell cross enjoyed this – for about half an hour – when chunks started coming off, I removed it. She did enjoy the taste, she liked carrying it around but it just wasn’t robust enough for her jaws – sorry nylabone – could you make one a little tougher? Thanks.
