Great value for the money
Great litter box! Very much worth the money. It’s longer than most other boxes, nothing sticks to it, all the cats use it, the sides are high enough even for my high peeing boy. It’s nice to be able to clean it without taking a lid off. I will be replacing my other boxes with these asap.

Works for a Big, Grumpy Himalayan Cat
After a few years of rough use and eventually cracking an old plastic litter pan, our big, grumpy Himalayan (who bangs on the pan with his huge paws when digging and covering) was in desperate need of a new one. After researching the pros and cons of stainless steel litter pans, we decided to spend the extra cost on one to take advantage of strength, longer use life, and eliminating eventual plastic odor absorption and urine staining. The pan arrived safely in a very large box with additional packing and no dents or scratches. Our cat took to using the pan immediately and has so far been unable to damage it. Although he continues to bang on the pan when digging and covering, the sound has not been amplified via the metal pan. Our previous plastic pan was a bit more square with width and had gradual sloping high walls along the sides and back. The lack of these elements on this pan has not deterred our cat from using this more rectangular pan. We think he can move around more easily in this pan. A nice feature of this pan is that it sits on circular rubber pads which keep it directly off the floor. Our cat doesn’t stand and urinate over the pan walls, but this is a nice feature to prevent urine from puddling underneath making cleanup much easier in the event of it happening. As reported with all stainless steel pans (without a non-stick coating), we have noticed that urine clumps from clumping litter can occasionally stick to the bottom. This can be annoying, but not a show stopper from obtaining a stainless steel pan (we’ve seen this with plastic pans in the past). We use a plastic scooper to clean the pan and haven’t noticed any scratches to the pan from it (even when removing the occasional stuck clumps). With regards to non-stick coated stainless steel pans, we opted to go with the non-coated type based on some reviews of them which indicated scratching from paws and scoopers and the fact that in our opinion (no scientific facts on this, just our choice), non-stick coatings may not be healthy in the long run for our cat. Overall, this pan is highly recommended, and we hope for the extra cost investment in it, we can enjoy extended use life and freedom from embedded stains/odors.

Excellent Cat Litter Box! Outstanding! Unfortunately, My Cat Overshoots It.
Although priced a bit high, this litter box is nothing less than outstanding. It is amazingly lightweight (without litter, of course), but is very sturdy and completely nonstick on the inside. Before I ordered it I searched out all kinds of metal boxes to replace the former plastic storage boxes I had been using. Plastic, unfortunately, is not recyclable; in addition, it picks up odors at some point regardless of how often it is cleaned.I measured the current plastic box and it was exactly the same size as this so I knew it would work. My two current cats keep to the box size and do not spread litter outside but if your cat is vigorous about covering up this box may not work because the sides are six inches high.I did write to the company and suggest they also offer boxes with 8-9 inch sides. They said I wasn’t the first to ask and they were considering it. (I wonder why; it seems there is a need for it and you’d think any company would want to take advantage of a consumer need.) So if you need higher sides, contact the company! But if six inches works for you, I can and do recommend this particular box. It is superb!UPDATE: The box itself is incredible. Unfortunately, my cats are getting older and at least one is now standing “taller” to urinate. The six-inch depth is not doing it. Frustrated this morning, I again wrote to the company on their FB page and strongly suggested they offer 12-inch sides on three sides. Then I came on Amazon to look around some more at plastic just because I am so desperate. Wonder of wonders, I found something that looks exactly like what I want: iPrimio Ultimate Stainless Steel Cat XL Litter Box ($60). It is steel, at least the box is, and it has a detachable top that adds six more inches to the three sides. It has been ordered and will be here in two days. I will review that of course. I really hope it works. Now I am considering a mat to help with the litter that sticks in their paws and gets on the floor.

Simply magic
We have two adult cats in our home and only one good place to put their litter box. The ones that we bought from the stores here in our town were small and made from plastic. They just weren’t big enough and the cats kicked the litter all over the place. This was a game changer for us. It’s super deep and made of solid metal. It’s big enough you can put an entire value jug of litter in there at a time and still have room for even more if you really needed it. The litter stays in it very well and the clean up is very easy. Some kitty litter boxes the litter sticks to the sides and bottom and you can’t get it off. The plastic ones also seem to absorb the smell of the litter box and you can’t wash it enough to get rid of it. This litter pan doesn’t have those problems at all. I don’t hardly have to wash or scrub it. The litter scooper removed all the litter including the parts that are wet and touching the sides and bottom. Put litter back in and you are good to go! VERY nice product!

Walls too low – cat urine ends up on floor around the box.
Walls are too low, even with little litter in it, my cat (average tabby size) will sometimes overshoot the wall and end up on the floor. Needs another 4-6 inches of walls to avoid that and still have enough litter in the box.

We always used stainless steel for our kitties’ boxes. The first one we purchased from Centenila Feed Store in Los Angeles because we were tired of replacing plastic bins that absorbed odours and were a pain to clean. This first box is low, only 4″, but it was the preferred box for both cats. I couldn’t find another one, so we purchased a buffet bin and added a silicone wrap to soften the sharp edges. It worked well enough, but I hated that the edges were sharp–especially as our kittens were 17 & 16 years old. And that is when we saw we could get a stainless steel litter pan in Canada. We purchased OhmBox and are happy with it. It’s been perfect. Our senior cats loved it, too. One recently passed, and we now have two kittens with a 17.5-year-old senior cat. They don’t make a mess, and they’ve been easy to clean. And it has not lost its paint or shown any rust. We will be getting one more. Two OhmBoxes plus the one we bought 16 years ago.

Prior to getting this litter box, one of our kitties was peeing every where else (unlike her) because she doesn’t like a dirty litter box- yes she’s a princess.. but we realized it was because we couldn’t get the smell of the other box *and the house that the box was in*. Since we got this litter box, she has only used this and it’s way easier to clean too.

My cats are obsessed with this litter box! This is our second Ohm box and the boys love them. Lots of space. Easy to clean. Non-porous. It’s a big win. Please get your cat one of these

The paint started peeling almost immediately… not just peeling but breaking apart into tiny pieces that got stuck to my cat’s paws and got dragged everywhere. It has been constant peeling since I got them (bought 3 of them based on the reviews and I now regret it dearly). All 3 boxes have gone through the same process. I wash the boxes every month and the lawn gets full of those tiny little pieces of paint. I wish the whole thing came out at once but no… the paint slowly disintegrates into tiny pieces that seem to have no end. Can’t be good for the cats!In addition, they are starting to rust.Edit: Customer service contacted me and they stood by their product. very happy with their fast response!!

This litter pan is great in terms of easy to clean. Cat jumped right in to use. No sticking of waste onto the pan. We use Pretty Litter, but even it used to leave stains on bottom of old pans. Two things I learned. Initially I positioned the pan with length parallel to wall. Tons of litter kicked out. Grrr. So turned the shorter end 90 degrees to wall ( way his pans were before). MUCH better, but still litter kicked out on floor. Two factors that may be in play. His old pans were deeper/higher sides, and I had read somewhere you might need to add two bags litter now because the pan is larger. Hmmm. This made the apparent need on his part to dig deeper perhaps, leading to the loose litter kicked on floor?Would like higher sides for my 20 pound cat. Am going to put less litter next time. Even though this item is expensive, I think despite some issues we had in the transition, it’s well worth the ease of cleaning. Happy cat mommy, hopefullHappy cat.
