Our Kitties were delighted with this Alpine Scratcher
Our old Alpine Scratcher was definitely due for retirement. I purchased it around 1996. Although it was still usable, it had been “bandaged” with duct tape many times. We bought this Alpine Scratcher to replace the old one. Even though I think that over 14 years of heavy usage deserves major kudos, we were ready to get a more “attractive” scratcher. We love the brightly colored pattern, and how easy it is to put together. Since it is a wonderful deterrent to scratching furniture, we highly recommend it. Our two kitties suggest that all kitty guardians should gift this scratcher to their beloved cats.

Kittens LOVE this!
Kittens LOVE this! They climb all over and all through it. But they do outgrow it. And, since it is made of cardboard, it doesn’t last a long time. But it’s worth it because of all the fun they have!

Dual purpose Cat Ramp!
Our 16 year old cat loves these (Yes, I bought two). They help her get off of the couches and she loves to scratch them. It took a bit for her to stop scratching the living room furniture but she has. And the catnip sprinkled on it is a plus as well. She is a pampered princess and this is a big help to her.

My cat really likes the inclined scratcher best. Uses it much more often than the one flat on floor. It seems to keep her happy enough that she doesn’t scratch the new chair. I have found I need to tape the box with heavy tape to keep it attached together.
