this works!
During our recent very cold spell, my outdoor cat’s water pretty much stayed frozen. Wouldn’t eat the wet food in time before it also froze. When I first bought this, I plugged it in inside and was frankly disappointed. It was no warmer than the inside water. But I took a chance and put it outside. alleluia!! The point was – it’s not supposed to get too warm. The water did not freeze but was rather a perfect temp. Didn’t work for the wet food tho but I’ve been filling it with dry instead and it keeps it just right. Because of the extreme cold, he was more interested in the dry food anyway. But he’s on camera and he is drinking a lot. Yeah, one happy customer here!

Excellent Outdoor Bowls
I bought this for winter to provide food/water for stray neighborhood cats. The temperatures here have been dropping to low teens at night and this product has kept the water and food from freezing. I like that the stainless bowls can be lifted out for cleaning and refilling without moving the entire unit. It works great and the price was good too.

Works Great!
Bought 2 of these for some feral cats that have been hanging around and so far they work great. It’s been down past freezing already and the water stays nice and thawed out. The cats don’t seem to mind them and it gives us piece of mind they have something to drink and eat in this cold hard world they’ve been tossed out into.

Great for the winter months
I only gave it a 4 star because the other side doesn’t have an option to heat , to keep the dry cat food from freezing too. Other wise it does the job. I would recommend

Froze over first freeze
I bought 3 of these in October in advance of winter. Our first freeze was last night, outside of the return window. Two of the three froze over. I would not buy. Did not work. Waste of money. I’m in the south, so we don’t get much cold. I would definitely pass on it especially if you live in a colder climate.

Works in -10f so far
Replaces 1 of 2 KH heated feeders, second KH heater is still functioning but melted. Only bought one of these to test after the issues with KH. I plan on purchasing at least 1 more to replace the melted KH.Have worked in -10f cats like it, birds use the water dish, Blue Jays eat the cat food..

Good product
I bought this for my outside, feral cat friends and so far is living up to its expectation. Bowls do not get too hot and the water is not freezing. Shipping was very quick. I will update my review on the longevity.

Highly recommend it.
It is great! We had 16 degree temperatures several nights and the water stayed room temperature for the stray cats. It is the first thing the cats go to before the food. The Raccoon likes it too.

Seems sturdy and much better than the old green ones I had. Easier to clean. I’d like extra inserts though. I will search for that.

Not really happy with this Item. The bowls do not fit very well in the base. It is a struggle to put the bowls in and it is worse trying to get them out. I use a spoon to help remove them. They do heat though. Sorry not a terrific buy.
