Size, construction and materials are all very comforting. to miss Charlie
It takes Miss Charlie a little while to get used to new things and I thought I might have to return the bed but I positioned it in the living room with a view to the outside and the sun streaming in. Sometimes I see a peek of an ear or a paw but she is a sound sleeper inside this secure house.

Had some doubts when it arrived but it won my 2 small dogs over rather quickly!
I originally ordered one bed as I had a Rescue Papillon, Holly that loved using a cat cave when we traveled in our RV. At home she would voluntarily go into a hard kennel which was covered with a blanket and had a soft snuggly bed inside. The cover came down over the opening and that is how she has slept for the past 4 yrs. We recently took a 2 month vacation in the Rv and since her cat cave seemed too small of late, I purchased the Ownpets Cat Bed that was both a cave and a bed for her and was larger than most cat caves. Upon arrival, I thought I made a big mistake as it appeared flat as a pancake and very flimsy and the the pillow inside was just that a pillow that was convex in shape and didn’t offer the ability to lay in it but rather on it which I don’t believe cats or dogs appreciate at all. Holly didn’t attempt to go inside the cave or lay in the open bed with the pillow in it so I threw the pillow out and purchased a slightly larger soft, plush cat bed that fit perfectly inside and allowed her to cuddle up inside with much more room than her previous cat cave allowed. She loved it for the RV during our pre vacation trips!But then I had another problem, my other dog, Pippi, who generally just burrows under the covers with us decided she wanted to use the same bed! Pippi occasionally uses the cave, but prefers the bed arrangement with a blanket over her. I had just enough time to order a 2nd bed before we left on our trip. We would put a cave bed up for Holly and covered Pippi in the bed arrangement for the night. During the day, they both slept in the open bed arrangement!I should add that eventually the bump left the top of the caves and the sides squared up so it didn’t look so flimsy. I have to say, the flimsyness allowed it to go from a bed to a cave in seconds which was nice. That said, I’m still afraid to wash it! It would have to be on a delicate cycle.Sorry I didn’t have a pic of the cave opened up.

Cute, But Not As Sturdy As Video Indicates
I bought this bed due to its versatility and plushness. I viewed the video and the top seemed sturdier in the video. But, the actual bed is flimsy on the top. It would not stay up.I immediately decided that I will just leave it in the folded position with the top down and the plush pillow over it.My cats love it, so it’s not wasted money. But, I am disappointed that they can’t use it with the top up, hence my rating.

For the price it works
I thought it would have a little firmer of a top. Because of the way it’s packaged mine has a bended lump for a top. When I folded it down for the no-hood look it doesn’t really flatten down right so it’s kinda wonky. The cats have been using it so I guess it works.

Keeps the dog warm
I put this in my dog’s crate (chihuahua). I think it helps keep him warm at night. I don’t think he would sleep in it if it wasn’t in his crate though.

Proof that you get what you pay for!
Chose to shop for a cat bed on Amazon and find the perfect one to go with my house and my cat. I have to say that the price was right on this one, but it is very cheaply made. It is very soft and comfortable. It comes in a vacuum sealed package to help with shipping space I’m sure however, it is not expand all the way to be a Hide Away cat bed. When expanded it is very. “ catty Wompus”. But if you keep it folded down with the pillow on top and make it a cat bed without a cover, it is fine. I would not purchase this product again. For it is not what I was looking for nor expecting.
