Love this brush for my husky
I love this brush, and so does my sweet husky. I initially bought one of those wire-bristled tangle brushes for him, but the bristles were painful for him. I found this one, and he welcomes brushing now. It seems to be relaxing for him instead of traumatic like the other one was. He enjoys it, and it’s effective in brushing through his thicker fur, then softening and smoothing with the softer side of this brush. This was a great purchase. Anything that makes him happy and comfortable makes me happy and comfortable.

Dogs Love this Brush
My dogs hair/fur gets tangled easily and the brush glides through their coat. The soft bristle end is perfect for around their face, ears and muzzle. They actually like to be brushed with this brush.

My cats love it!
Both my lynx point siamese and my American short hair love this brush! They will come running if I show it to they. Also the brush is very sturdy and my cats seem to think both sides are equally amazing!😆 it arrived in a timely manner. I would buy again.

Nicely made… Easy to use.. But more importantly Doggy Loves It!
We have our share of doggy “appliances”, and this brush is almost the same as another brush we have, but the other brush — its handle is plastic as opposed to this brush which is a light wood, and the other bush on the “stiff side” has bristles that are thicker & more rigid, & it’s other softer side is much more condensed & made from steel teeth as opposed to this brush with soft latex like bristles spaced out more generously on the softer side & less stressful but denser bristles for the “stiff side”.We’ve had the opportunity now — for over a week — to “get the scoop” “from the doggy’s mouth”, so to speak. She prefers this newer improved version that this review is now focused on.Just so happens doggy has developed some itch, & you know how that can be — is it some new food allergy? Is it from outside? Is it the bath soap? Has she grown into an allergy of a food she used to tolerate? It can drive you nuts trying to figure it out. We hesitate going to doctor cause usually they give steroids to cover up the problem along with a big bill. But while we play detective and swap out foods & watch what she does outside like a hawk and absolutely try different salves & meds……what has been CONSISTENT over this week is that she will come to us & very much make it clear she WANTS to be BRUSHED.Which brush does she most relax to & which brush does she perks up to & “help”us with the brushing process? Yep, we’ve tried them both numerous times. But it’s THIS NICE NEW BRUSH SHE LIKES with the softer generous bristle side & the non-steel firm but flexible latex bristles side. And we get to appreciate its nice wooden feel. She really digs it, she has made her choice over & over, just as plain as day,& I think there is no better endorsement than a happy persistent doggy!

Not my first choice
This grooming brush has a nice big handle, which I like as it fits my hands. However, that’s where the good news ends. The bristle side of the brush is more effective at removing loose fur than the pin side. Because the pins seem to be made from some polymer, perhaps, or because they are spaced too widely, that side of the brush picks up almost no fur whatsoever. I tried it on both dogs and cats, and the results were poor for both. The cats did like the pin side, so they approve of it for massage purposes. But don’t get this if you want to help rid your pets of loose fur. I’d recommend one with metal pins instead, as they don’t simply flex out of the way like the polymer ones on this brush.
