We bought this tray to protect the floor when the dogs were using the pee pads. Often they would pee right at the edge of the pad, which would cause the urine to run underneath and sit between the pad and the actual floorboards. This pad has been great!! The pads fit just as pictured and when the dogs use it, the tray catches all the urine. It’s easy to clean. It’s lightweight. It’s waterproof and all it’s low enough that the dogs don’t try to go somewhere else. We have Chihuahuas so little legs and the little lip works perfectly! Would definitely recommend.

No more wet floors
I have a 15 yr old Yorkie with failing eyesight. I got this potty pad holder when she started peeing on the edge of the pad, often going on the floor. It fits a standard size pad. I center it so when she does hit the edge, it goes on to the holder. Very easy to clean up and no more wet floors. The edges are just high enough to contain any messes.

Works for my dog, at least
I have a dog who mostly toilets indoors, on 24×24 pads, and is definitely disposed to edge peeing. This mat largely prevents the rogue pee from reaching the floor. It’s distinct from most other mats I’ve seen/used in that it does have an actual small channel/lip on its edges to buffer urine overflow. This channel might not be able to handle the output of a Great Dane, but seems to be adequate for my small-midsize dog. Easy enough to clean.That said, I imagine every dog pees in their own way, and it’s possible some dogs might sometimes pee on the edge of the mat itself, causing pee to go under it. Of course, in that situation you’re no worse off than if you’d never gotten the mat. My flooring is cheap, but, personally, I’d consider keeping overflow pee off it even half the time worth the cost. You might think differently.

I seen other reviews about this leaking and having to put a towel underneath but honestly I love it. Sometimes it the pads the owners are using but the pads I use don’t leak. The design is great for dogs who sometimes get the edge wet. So far this has been great for the two dachshunds I have and they share one big pad ( don’t get it twisted I do have one dachshund who is mixed with lab so she is a heavty girl so she pees a lot) but this product does its job and I love it . Speaking about the other reviews I did see the dogs chew the pad but again I have dachshund and they are trouble makers but not like that so I don’t think the quality will be super indestructible but again it’s silicon overall its good quality.

Bought this for my elderly cat who sometimes uses the floor instead of the litter tray! Pads fit perfectly and don’t move. Raised edges stops any leakage and it’s very easy to clean! Just perfect.
