Absolute game changer. I have two rough collies so shedding is a daily task to keep up with. Surprisingly effective, but not perfect
My expectations weren’t very high based on the reviews, but for certain types of fabrics, this works pretty well at removing the acres of long hair my Maine Coon cat deposits on every surface. I really like that it’s indefinitely reusable and doesn’t create a lot of waste like lint rollers do. It takes a bit of effort going over and over an area, but It works well on sturdy, finely woven fibers (cotton or cotton-like) such as my headboard that he loves to rub against. It also works on fabric-covered upholstery as long as there’s no pile to it. Again, it takes a lot of swiping — it is not magical. It does not work well and is, in fact, destructive to what I really need it for and that is fuzzy-textured, knit garments like sweaters and a beautiful, knit throw that is now completely suffocated with cat hair. Sadly, I’m going to have to throw the throw away because this doesn’t work on it I don’t dare launder it and destroy my washing machine. It will also damage fabrics like jersey or spandex unless you make sure you’re VERY gentle and use a light touch. It can seriously rough up the fabrics it does work on. It’s basically a pumice stone, so behave accordingly.

I never wrote reviews but this product deserves one!! Other products were either not effective on my woven couch or were too hard on the fabric. This not only got up the hair, but removed the a lot of the piling on our heavily used sofa. While I noticed no snagging on the fabric, I’d be a little leery of use on brand new woven fabric.I found it most effective to follow with a rubber glove to get off the rolled up hair remnants.Great product that I’ll only have to repurchase if I lose it!

It kind of works.
It does remove some of the fur but it does take many passes before it gets most of it (noticed I said most and not all). It also leaves some pumice (it seems just like a pumice stone to me…) dust around too, which needs to be cleaned up. Some fabrics you need to be careful or you can actually damage it, even if you don’t press down very hard. It doesn’t collect the fur on the tool like the instructions says it does, just leaves a pile where you brush it to, so I still have to vacuum it up once I make a pile. I don’t know, it wasn’t the worst I’ve used/tried, but not the best either. Just okay. A few other things work better (faster, easier, less mess) so I would not repurchase. Sorry. 🙁

This product is fantastic! I use it in my car to quickly pick up fur, and with 3 cats and a dog, I deal with a lot of it. It works great on furniture, carpets, stairs, and more. You don’t need to apply much pressure—just a light sweep will lift the fur from the fibers, making it easy to vacuum or pick up by hand. It’s important not to use it on hard surfaces, leather, or any surface that could scratch. If you’re unsure about a particular carpet or fabric, test it on a small area first to avoid damage. Overall, it’s an excellent tool for dealing with pet hair!

I have two short haired dogs, one is a mastiff with soft, fine fur and one is a pit mix with thick wiry fur, I also just bought a car previously owned by someone with a very long haired dog that clearly shed A LOT! I used this tool on all three fur types with ease, with very little pressure I was able to remove all my dogs fur from two large carpets, a doormat and a large blanket in under 5 minutes. I had tried multiple different products on the mess of fur in my car with very little success but again this tool worked perfectly! I’m amazed by how effective and efficient it really is and I’m definitely buying two more to keep on hand! Side note, you may want to wear gloves as it can be a bit rough on your hands.

[2019] Edit: Después de un año con esta piedra, debo decir que no hay otra cosa que use para quitar los pelos de mascota de cualquier lugar; su cama, alguna ropa, los asientos y cajuela del auto… Tengo un husky y un pastor alemán, que mudan de pelo una vez al año durante 365 días y esta piedra es lo mejor, puedo quitar todos los pelos en sólo unos minutos. Tal vez tuve una “mala” experiencia en un inicio pero creo que fue la curva de aprendizaje de este producto. En fin, es real que “no es bonito, pero funciona.” La recomiendo totalmente. 💯👌[2018] En mi opinión, obtienes el mismo resultado con este producto que con una piedra pomez: debes hacerlo muy despacio, evitar plásticos rigidos porque pueden rayarse ligeramente (como los broches de los cinturones de seguridad del auto), no sólo quita los pelos de la mascota, sino que también algunos propios de la tela y va dejando pequeñas “partículas de piedra”.Creo que puedes obtener el mismo resultado y de una manera más fácil, rápida y cuidadosa usando simplemente una esponja de las grandes para lavar autos.

I use this every single day at my house!My dog was very sick recently, and she was losing so much fur I was going crazy! This saved my life! It was perfect. I love it! Just make sure that you don’t use it on vinyl, nylon, or plastic because it will scratch it! Also, don’t use so much pressure and brushing the hair off sofas or couches because it can stretch the fabric!
