    cat hair be gone!
My daughter uses this on her clothes because she has a few cats in her bedroom. The roller really does collect the cats’ hair and it cleans off easily. buy this now and save money down the road from buying regular rollers.

    Not Impressed
I’m not impressed by the DAINTIER Pet Hair Removal Tool. The cleaning surface is only 6.25 inches x 7/8 inches, and scraping off the debris to the inside of the tool requires turning the roller many times. This is a very laborious task when I clean the mat my long-haired cat uses for sleeping and grooming.Full disclosure: I received this product for free from the Vine program. However, I want to emphasize that I did not receive any payment for this review. It’s also important to note that I pay 29% in federal and state income taxes for each item. I apologize for not including any pictures in this review, as my genetic condition causes my hands to shake.

Works as advertised but seems like an over-complication of a basic tool
It works. It picks up hair and lint, however it isn’t an improvement over a basic “paddle style” lint brush.Once I found the handle inside the lint collection part of the brush I had a really hard time attaching it. It takes some force to get the handle to snap in place but while doing this the plastic of the main unit creaks and bends. I thought for sure it was going to break! It didn’t, thankfully.Initially I wasn’t sure how to use this “roller”. I just sort of placed it against the couch cushion and pulled it toward me. Without going back into the product description of the original listing on the Amazon page I wouldn’t have known to push it back and forth. This detail seemed to not be part of the limited instructions (if I recall). After pulling the brush toward me a few times I noticed a lot of hair had built up on the brush. I assumed rotating the little handle on the side had something to do with this. After flipping the handle back and forth a few times I could see the lint and hair being scraped off. When I opened the unit up there was a neat little collection of hair and dirt inside. Cool, but still completely unnecessary and seems to take longer than just sweeping hair off a paddle brush. It definitely doesn’t speed up the lint/hair removal process.I preferred the one-way brushing technique as opposed to the instructed back-and-forth because on loose fabrics like a couch cover or a blanket it’s necessary to hold the fabric being de-furred tight or it just bunches up. This brush is best used on tight flat surfaces which goes the same for a paddle-style brush.Overall this is a great novelty lint brush but it doesn’t solve any real problems or make any improvements to a regular paddle-style lint brush.

It works, but the usable surface is kind of small
I have had lint and pet hair removers with similar fabric before and they work rather well. This one also works to remove pet hair, and it has a nap in opposite directions so you can use it either up or down depending on which hand you use or how you need to pull to get the best angle. And while this one looks like a roller, it really doesn’t roll so much as it has a pressure cleaning device that you roll the strips across. This is the downside, as it only has those two small strips of fabric, so it gets filled up fast, especially if you have a shedding pet or multiple pets. It is designed to manually rotate the roller a quarter turn back and forth to rub the hair off of the strips and into the space in the back. It takes several turns back and forth to get most of the hair rubbed off and except for the very bottom of the strip, it does come off and goes into the storage area. I ran it across a dog bed and the brush area filled up fast and I had to pull to get the hair still stuck on the fabric out of the storage area, which kind of defeats the hands-free cleaning the rolling back and forth does, I certainly couldn’t just open the back and shake out the pet hair into the trash bin, but it did eventually pick up most of the hair in the bed even though it often pulled it into a pile for fur as the nap on the fabric got full. Since it is made of plastic though, it can build up static cling for hair and dirt and it is attracted to the outside of the case. So if using it on your clothes, that would be something to keep in mind.

Very useful tool to keep the house clean
I have 3 cats and 2 dogs and a lot of shedding hair from all of them, a couple more than others. Sometimes when I use the vacuum and wash bedding, I think I can gather enough hair to build a new cat. I have carpeted stairs that are used multiple times per day by all of us. It’s amazing how much hair gets stuck to the carpet. Using a vacuum on stairs is sometimes an exercise in futility. This picker-upper is much easier to maneuver and pick up the errant fur from the stair steps and the furniture. It’s always good to give my clothes a once over before I got out the door.

  6. Catcus

Only slightly easier than other methods
I was impressed by the compact arrangement of pieces when this arrived. The handle is tucked inside the body and once that’s assembled, it’s ready to go. The handle took a LOT of force to attach, and obviously isn’t meant to come back out.As for removing pet hair – it’s OK. I get results that are just as good and maybe better by using a damp dishglove and rubbing the sofa that way. This works really well on furniture that’s coated in hair (like the cat tree) but the results are just so-so on a sofa that has some pet and human hair. A lot was left behind. Then as for cleaning the roller, I found I had to hold down the outer edge which helps remove the hair from the roller in order for it to clean effectively.I suspect there are better options out there and I can’t recommend this unless you work in a pet shelter and need to remove large areas of pet fur and make things look better while still being OK that you’re leaving some pet hair behind.

    Love
This is my first roller like this. I do Like having smaller reusable and disposable rollers on hand, but having this minimizes how much I have to vacuum or create please with roller sheets.its a good medium plus size.
