Surprisingly pet friendly grooming vac and tools
My cat is terrified of anything electrical that comes near him. I was skeptical that this system would work, that he would even be in the same room with it. He is not good about grooming and usually runs and hides when he senses it is coming. So, with that in mind, I left everything out for several days where he could inspect and familiarize himself with the new aliens in our home, at his leisure, and unprompted. Curious as he is, I knew he would investigate fully if left to his own devices. And he did. After a few days, I turned on the vac so he could get acquainted with the noise. The vac is much quieter than I expected and to my surprise, he did not run from the room. But I did not let it threaten him in any way. I turned the machine off and let him do some more investigating on his own. I repeated this over the next few days. When the time seemed right, I actually tried the vac He let me! He seemed to enjoy it! I was able to work with him for several minutes before he declared he had had enough. My cat likes to chase clumps of fur as they are brushed and float into the air and then he eats them! Hairballs are always a problem after a full grooming session. But not with this vac. There were no flying clumps of fur. Great vac!My cat took to this vac and the grooming tools very well. A first! He is so comfortable without all that itchy fur, and my furniture is happy too! Nobody is happier than me!

My Old Cat Hates the Sound of My Floor Vac, But She Likes Being Groomed with This
I ordered this Petmolico Pet Grooming Kit to use with my very old cat, even though she is frightened of my floor vac and runs to her hiding spot when she sees it come out. My cat has medium length hair and she seems to always be shedding. I started brushing her with it on its lowest of three settings. She did not try to run. She liked it. I turned it up the highest setting and she still sat and let me brush her hair. It is actually not very loud. I like how it sucks the hair and dander into the tank and I don’t have to touch it with my hands. This pet vac comes with 5 attachments. There is an electric trimmer, thinning comb, slicker comb, cleaning brush, and a crevice tool. I don’t plan to use the trimmer on my cat, but I did hook it up to the hose and it worked. The five attachments for it, are easy to get on and off the trimmer. The electricity runs through enclosed wires on the hose. I have used the thinning comb and slicker comb on my cat. The slicker comb has wire bristles and I did catch a skin blemish, on my cat’s chin and made it bleed. It didn’t bother my cat and she wanted me to keep brushing her with it. The cleaning brush is great for dusting my whole house. It has long soft bristles. I was able to get the dust bunnies out of my bathroom ceiling fan vents, that I couldn’t get out with any of the tools from my other vacuum cleaner. I also used it to dust the back, sides, and front screen on my tv, my window shades, above my door trims, and best of all, my pleated lamp shades. This is a corded vacuum cleaner. The cord is only 6 ft. long. I wish it were a little longer. The hose is about 5 ft. long. The canister is easy to empty. I had a little trouble getting it attached back to the base, after emptying, but I finally figured it out. You should put the bottom in, first, then snap the top in place. It has a charcoal type filter and a white filter, which were already installed, when it arrived. The canister is very light to carry around, as I am vacuuming up the dust around my house. I just have to move it from plug to plug, because of the short cord. The attachments have a rack, which is great to have all the tools handy while you groom your pet. I which it could slide over the handle on the canister for when not in use. I like that the hose wraps around the canister and hooks to the canister, when not being used.

Works But Could Be Much Better!
I have other grooming vacuums, so while my review is for this vacuum and not those, I can’t help but compare them. I’ll start by saying that this vacuum comes with the vacuum itself and also includes a trimmer with 5 guards, brush, comb, crevice tool, and dust/lint brush. There is a storage tray that is marked for each tool. It’s attractive to have them on a round tray but would have been nice if turned like a lazy susan. It has 3 different modes: low, medium and high which is nice to have those options. The noise level is comparable, not quite but it is a vacuum sooo… What I don’t like is that the hose is fixed and cannot be removed from the machine. That is not optimal for storage and very easy to put strain on the hose when storing that could be alleviated by simply removing the hose, but you can’t. It was difficult removing the canister and while there were directions on how to put the canister on there were none on how to take it off. Since it came connected that seemed a little wrong. I was only looking for directions because it was difficult to get off and I was checking to see if I was trying properly. I was. There’s a button on the front that has to be pressed to release it. You should press more from the bottom of the button and not the center. After muscling it a couple of times it did get easier. On the plus side, opening the dust bin was easy. So, after the initial issues, breaking it in, and the learning curve it is ok now. The trimmer is not cordless, which depending on how you look at it, may be neither a plus nor a minus. Since it isn’t cordless it cannot be used alone, just to tidy up a bit, without using the whole machine. I actually started out liking the idea but ended up not so much. I like that it’s powered through the hose (I’m guessing that may be a reason why the hose is not removable). It does not require charging, nor do I have to stop to recharge when/if it runs down. The problem that I had was that I can’t turn the trimmer on and off, I can only turn the canister on and off or remove the trimmer. One might think that’s no big deal but when the canister is on the other side of my grooming table it isn’t optimal to have to walk around the table just to turn the trimmer off for just a second to have to turn around and turn it back on. My real problem is that there is a button/switch on the side of the trimmer that seems like it should be a power button, but it is not. It is actually the depth switch. I keep changing the depth when I’m really just wanting to turn it off. After balding my pup a couple of times, I decided that I could stick with it and get used to it, or I could just call it quits. Since I do have another one, calling it quits seemed like the best option for me and my dogs. So, if I’m fair, if I had never used a grooming vacuum and after breaking in the newness of the buttons this vacuum isn’t all that bad, in fact it worked pretty well. My ultimate issue is that there are better grooming vacuums on the market and this one just isn’t as good as many of the others.
