Works great, my dog isn’t the brightest and has failed at using toys like this before. He tends to use his nose and rub it raw, whenever he used his nose on his toy I took it away from him, and I rewarded him greatly for using his claws on it.I also held down the pieces so that he couldn’ get to the kibble as easily, and that forced him to claw at it more.His nails are at a funny angle now but its better than them being too long. You can see the scratch marks on the toy after just one use, look at how well they filed down my boys claws!The only con is they no longer sell replacement stickers for the sandpaper on top…I’m planning on just buying circular sandpaper stickers and pasting them on in the future, but kind of a bummer.

Even dumb dogs get past it!
I don’t recommend. It was way too easy for our dog to push the disks with his nose to get the treats. No filing of his long nails. He’s not the smartest fella, and if he can get in it without using his feet, it’s just not going to work. I even tried “showing” him how I wanted him to get to the treats, and he gave me a dirty look. Cheeky bugger.

Excellent puppy interaction
We bought one with the intent of our 2 6-month old puppies (not siblings) sharing….Well…One puppy is a female Chocolate Lab and our other is a male Lab-Pointer Mix. He’s bigger and stronger than her and he dominates the toy…it would be great if it were larger and sturdier but it’s still good…We are buying a second one next payday…it’s a challenge for him without being too difficult…And it’s easy to clean… Big Time Thumbs Up 👍

Absolutely Hilarious Waste!
So, yeah. Probably could have seen this coming a mile away, but I was absolutely blinded by the hopes this would work as advertised. Unfortunately, my dog is so overly protective of her nails that using her paws to solve problems doesn’t even enter the equation. She happily nudged the sliding pieces around their loop with her nose, consuming all treats in roughly 60 seconds. Had I known this venture was going to blow up on the launch pad so perfectly, I would have actually timed it. Once all the treats were devoured and only the scent lingered, there was only one thing left to do. Attempt to pry off the sliding bits to make sure no treats were left. I halted her efforts when she stopped sliding the pieces and bit on to one to pry it off. Oh well. Worth a shot. If your dog isn’t apt to paw at things with general curiosity, I advise avoiding this product and all its ilk. It is good for a laugh, though!

It’s a cute and entertaining toy. The pieces slide easily so there is no reason for a dog to try to scratch it open. We sat with our puppy and put a little tension on the pieces. After a few minutes she started scratching. If she played with it alone she would easily just nudge the pieces with her nose.

Love it
Got her nails trimmed and use this to keep them from being rough and extending time between trims. I wouldn’t use this instead of trimming. She figured it out pretty quick!
