Enclosed Cat Litter Box, Cat Trial
Things to know:1. We Have a cat2. The cat is about 5 yrs old3. The cat is accustomed to ‘attempting’ to potty in the kitty litter4. The cat manages to miss a good portion of the time…. it’s weird5. The cat attempts to bury its leavings by pawing at the side of the litter6. My wife cleans the mess, chastises the cat who doesn’t speak English.7. Rinse & RepeatI guess my wife after many years of the above routine decided to try something else. Of course when the enclosed litter box arrived I was tasked with assembling it. I didn’t see any instructions, but my wife had opened the box to ‘inspect’ it..so I can’t be sure if it came with instructions or not.The assembly is pretty straight forward if you enjoyed playing with Legos. Once assembled the unit is very sturdy. We have removed the previous litter box and replaced it with this one. The cat has yet to use it.The most important takeaway here is that the enclosed litter box is of solid construction and is sturdy once assembled. It is not an eyesore. As far as litter boxes, I can only say kind things about this one. I just hope the cat uses it.

Not good if your cat has bad aim
I got just the small ramp to place in front of our existing litterbox. The only thing it’s accomplished so far is catching pee inside the drawer (versus it going on the floor) from ‘missed attempts’. Litter gets inside the drawer with the pee, so it’s an awful mess to clean up. Litter also gets inside the little groove that holds the side panels, which means they don’t sit in the grooves anymore and just fall over. I suppose if your cat has good aim and you don’t have to deal with pee inside the drawer, this would work out better.

Functional, but Definitely Overpriced
I really wanted to love this litter box because the concept is great, but for the cost, it’s just okay. It is large and does a decent job containing messes, but there are a few things that fall short.Assembly wasn’t too hard once I figured out the order, though there are no instructions included. It’s basically snapping pieces together, which is fine – but it feels a bit cheap for how much it costs. My biggest gripe is the ramp. It’s not connected to the box, so it slides around easily on hard floors. That makes it kind of useless unless you rig up a way to keep it in place. Also, the flap is removable, which is nice in theory, but without it, litter can still escape more than I’d like.It does look clean and modern, and the top opening feature helps reduce some tracking. However, for the price point, I expected sturdier materials and better design overall.

Good choice if your cat is messy
When I first saw this litter box advertised it did say it was stainless steel. It’s not and the reference saying so has been removed. It is made of good quality plastic which is not brittle and is thicker than many litter boxes. It was easy to assemble and I like the enclosed design since our cat has a habit of peeing on the rim of the box. If she does n this one it flowers down into the litter rather than on the floor. There is one spot at the entrance which is often filled with urine. I think it may be where the stairs are supposed to attach to the litter pan but I could not figure out how to do that. I like the pull out tray which makes it easier to clean, especially with the cover on. I’m not sure what the door on top is for but it doesn’t interfere with anything. The enclosed box means much less litter on the floor around it. I ordered the enclosed litter box because we just got a new puppy and I did not want him eating cat poop. He has figured out how to open the door and get the poop. It was worth a try and it does keep our older dog from eating the poop. Overall I like the litter pan despite its few flaws.

GIANT litterbox!
It’s actually a great litterbox! Yes, it’s plastic. Yes, there’s no instruction manual. However, it was very easy to assemble once you start with the top piece, then snap the front curvy piece, then the other pieces snap in place easy. For the size of this enclosed litterbox, it’s HUGE! And it has both top and front openings. I’m not using the flaps because my special needs cats can get a little claustrophobic sometimes. Note the pull-out litter tray will probably work better with lightweight litter.I really like the ramp, but it might slide around on hard floors, since it doesn’t attach to the litterbox. I’m using the ramp with another litterbox that my senior cat has difficulty stepping in to. I was able to easily adjust the ramp with the slider to match the height of my other litterbox.I have every other type of litterbox, except the automatic ones… Each of my rescue cats, whether small or large, seem to prefer one type over another, so I have different types on each level of my home.If you have multiple cats, you know that litterboxes are not cheap! I’ve spent a small fortune on so many over the years. This one checks off all of my requirements to accommodate my cats with special needs. It has flexibility with the box design and the ramp can be used in addition to the box, or separately, like I’m doing.Overall, this is a really good value for a giant enclosed litterbox. That’s why I’m giving it 5 stars.

Disappointing Quality – Not Stainless Steel as Originally Advertised
I was really excited about this litter box, expecting a durable stainless steel design (that is what was originally advertised, but it has been updated now to plastic), but unfortunately, the value just isn’t there. Despite the claims, it’s actually made of plastic, which was a huge letdown. For the price, I expected something sturdier and longer-lasting.That being said, the space-saving rectangular design is nice, and I do appreciate the recessed top that helps reduce litter tracking. The drawer-style design makes cleaning easier, but the plastic material absorbs odors over time, which is exactly what I was trying to avoid.Overall, if this were truly stainless steel, it might be worth the cost. But as it stands, it’s just another overpriced plastic litter box with some useful features—but not enough to justify the price tag.
