WildWash was founded by Andrew Cooper and Jane Cooper and has been developed to satisfy a genuine need in the market for truly natural shampoos and cosmetics for pets. As professionals, we have spent years developing a natural line of pet shampoos and cosmetics.
We have collaborated with other professionals to create the ultimate, perfect pet care products from the perspective of the dog or cat, the pet owner, and the environment. We wanted to make pet products that would be as good in every way as the highest quality human products available. We consider ourselves very lucky to work with an acclaimed independent boutique apothecary in the UK.
NATURAL PET SHAMPOO
WHY USE NATURAL?
Just like human skin and hair, a dog’s skin and coat responds better when a natural product is used. Natural products promote a healthy, hydrated skin and coat, whereas shampoos containing chemicals can cause dry itchy, scaly skin with poor hair quality, lacking moisture and shine.
100% NATURAL PURE ESSENTIAL OILS
We use 100% Natural Pure Essential Oils, which make up a total of 1.5% of our product. Our essential oils impart a beautiful, natural and absolutely safe aroma to our fragrances and shampoos.
All of our products are 100% completely and absolutely free from Petrochemicals of any kind and can be used safely in the knowledge that they will not harm ourselves, our pets, or our environment.
LOW SUDSING & EASY TO RINSE
To our combination of Soybean oil and Aloe Vera, we have added Cocamidopropyl Betaine, a mild and safe surfactant derived from coconut oil. It naturally boosts foam and improves viscosity, feel and texture. Our shampoos are designed not to over lather. They thoroughly cleanse the skin & coat but rinse out quickly and easily, leaving no residue or build-up, cutting drying time by about 25%.

We use 100% Natural Pure Essential Oils, which make up a total of 1.5% of our product. Our essential oils impart a beautiful, natural and absolutely safe aroma to our fragrances and shampoos.
Protecting WildWash products from infection from bacteria and fungi our preservation system contains Poly Epsilon-Lysine, a derivative of the tomato plant and also used in Japan as a food preservative. Phenoxyethanol adds to our preservation, which is found in the botanical world, stabilizing for example, cranberries, cinnamon, prunes and apples.
We use natural thickeners/emollients from renewable and sustainable sources, such as Glyceryl Oleate found in almonds, olive oil, peanut oil and pecan oil and tea seed oil. We have also added Lauryl Glucoside a very gentle surfactant made from coconut oil and sugars, proven to have virtually nil level of skin irritability, to give our shampoos a pleasing, but not ‘gloopy’ consistency.
Overly thick products usually contain chemical thickeners, which merely give the illusion of concentration but in reality produce a weak, sticky product. Our shampoos and cosmetics contain an unusually high proportion of Pure Essential Oils (1.5%) so their beautiful depth of fragrance naturally lasts and lasts without chemical intervention.
The base for all our shampoos and conditioners is made from nutrient rich soybean oil, a natural, non-greasy conditioning agent and protector for hair & skin. The anti-irritating properties of the phospholipids found in soybean soothes itching and nourishes, reinforcing skin barrier function. They promote hair growth, adding strength and shine and their film forming properties cover and smooth cuticle scales and eliminate static.

It naturally boosts foam and improves viscosity, feel and texture. It also has antistatic and antiseptic qualities. Our shampoos are specifically designed not to over lather. They thoroughly cleanse the skin and coat but rinse out quickly and easily, leaving no residue or build up behind. The coat is squeaky clean with nothing to dull clippers and scissors and we have found that drying time is cut by about 25%.
All of our products are 100% completely and absolutely free from Petrochemicals of any kind and can be used safely in the knowledge that they will not harm ourselves: our pets, or our environment.
We do not use anything chemical or synthetic to alter the thickness of our shampoos and conditioners. An excessively thick and ‘gloopy’ product does not function well and thickness does not aid efficacy. To give our products a pleasing consistency, we use Glyceryl Oleate and Sorbitan Sesquicaprylate, both naturally derived from the coconut palm and completely safe and non-irritant. In our conditioner we use esterquats that are naturally derived from a vegetable and renewable source. These are safe and mild. All of our products are completely free from silicones.
Are is WildWash cost effective?
Absolutely. All WildWash Pro Shampoos dilute genuinely at 32-1, giving a whole litre of product from just 30ml (1 x WildWash Pump) of Shampoo. Comparing the cost of WildWash with most of the cheaper shampoos, which dilute less, WildWash works out less expensive in 99% of comparisons. As our WildWash Shampoo gets the coat so clean and leaves no residue, we find that drying time is reduced by up to 25%, saving time and money.
How is WildWash different?
WildWash Shampoos are completely natural and free from parabens, sulfates, phosphates, phthalates, petrochemicals, PEGs, animal fats and palm oils. All the ingredients in WildWash Products are human grade. We also list every ingredient on the bottle, this is not law and lots of pet products hide their ingredients. We are very proud of ours so we want you to see them! It is safe for the pet owner, their pets and the environment.
Can I use WildWash shampoo on my puppy and other pets?
Yes, all of our Shampoos are tearless and can be used on puppies from 6 weeks of age although we do recommend using WildWash Shampoo for Sensitive Coats on young animals. WildWash Shampoo is safe and gentle enough to use on all your pets, though for small furries, we do recommend that you use WildWash Shampoo for Sensitive Coats, which does not contain any essential oils and is fragrance free.
Can I use WildWash shampoo on my cat?
We recommend using our WildWash Pro Shampoo for Sensitive Coats, Puppies, Cats and Kittens as our general cat shampoo or our WildWash Pet Cat Shampoo with catnip. The shampoos we recommend for cats do not contain any fragrant essential oils and some cats can be very sensitive to smells – even the ones we find delicious! However, there is no reason why you cannot use most of our Shampoos with the following exceptions.

I’m glad I tried this brand – My New favorite
This is my first time to try this brand, I’m glad I took a chance. My dog and I really like the shampoo. The scent of the shampoo is strong enough I could still smell the scent about a week after the wash but light enough that it’s not irritating. So my dog smells and feels fresh and newly washed for a long time. It also cleans very well.

Initially I though this is useless . But after two months of use I started seeing the results and I now find it very useful as my babies have a lot of white fur to keep white .

This is a great product for the fur dogs especially. Worked wonders on my dog’s fur. I would recommend this with wild wash conditioner. Little expensive but worth every penny

With 7 dogs we have used a far amount of pooch shampoo. This seems expensive but the concentrated formula means this goes a long way. It is mild on the skin but clean well and leaves a great scent. Can’t see us changing from this brand anytime soon.
