    Rabbit Litter
I know this litter is for a cat, but I use it for my rabbits. After looking and looking for the best litter that reduces smell and it doesn’t seem to affect the rabbits one bit. I’ve done extensive research on rabbit health and what they need for a healthy life. I recommend this to anyone looking for a litter for critters such as rabbits etc.Yesterday’s new’s is composed of compressed paper. Whenever I bought litter meant for rabbits it felt really expensive and it didn’t handle the job as well as it should. There are other alternatives out there such as :- shredded pine or aspen, but after doing some extensive research it seems like it effects their health in a negative way so I avoided this one and if you don’t like smell of cut trees it probably not for you- Compressed wheat is another decent one. I’ve tried this one, but the rabbits eat the compress wheat for litter and when consumed by them I was afraid the litter would expand and they would feel sick.- Rabbit bedding. Its the papery cotton feel like bedding used for essentially a rabbit’s bedding. It is pretty pricey (Its not that expensive, but when your on a tight budget). This works well, but not as good as the yesterday’s newsThe nice thing about this is that the rabbits don’t eat this and it expands and greatly reduces the smell induced in rabbit pee.Overall, this is my experience trying to find a rabbit’s proper litter. I am sure a lot of people have opinions about it, but it worked for me and my rabbits.

Great litter, but there are tips to success!
I love this litter, but there are some tricks to making it work well for you and your cat. If you are lazy, don’t buy it!1. Transition as stated in the directions. Some cats don’t take to it right away, but if you are patient, they will come around.2. This litter does not track much but put a mat in front of the box to reduce that tracking. I keep a hand vac near the box to pick up the few pellets that make it out of the box.3. Cover the bottom of the pan to about 1.5 – 2 inches. It does not take a huge amount to do this right. The pellets are very absorbent. Too much litter in the box = a soggy mess.4. Scoop FREQUENTLY. I scoop at least twice a day. This litter only works if you keep the box scooped.5. If you notice you cat visiting the box, wait about 30 minutes before you scoop to give the pellets time to absorb the urine. If urine is still present on the bottom of the box, use a little more litter. For solid poop, you can scoop only that, (no pellets) and put it in the toilet or a bag. Always add a little more litter after scooping.6. Change the entire contents of the box at least once a week or more often if you have a kitty who urinates a lot. For multiple cat, be sure to have one box per cat + one extra box. If you don’t do this, the litter will degrade into dust. If you do it, no dust!* Note that if you follow these guidelines, you won’t need to deal with lingering bad smells, and neither will kitty!I buy three of these bags a month and am delighted that I am spending less than $22 per month providing an environmentally friendly, healthy, dustless and cheap litter for my cat.

Highly recommend for buns! Safe, effective, and less mess than industry “standard” rabbit litter
Got this for my young bun and it has been working great. No messy softening or clumping into a clay-like texture upon pee absorption, unlike the stuff marketed to rabbits at your average pet store. From what I’ve read, clay-based litters are unsafe/unhealthy for rabbits; I can’t recall if what I had before this was clay based—it was whatever you find on the shelf, specifically *for rabbits* at pet stores—but it certainly at least mimicked that texture and I worried about what was in it… I switched to this based on fairly extensive research, especially with the recommendation of the Bunny Lady (a site and Youtube channel run by Amy Pratt, who affectionately brands herself with this nickname; I *also* highly recommend that site & channel as a springboard for new bunny owners to start doing their research/homework). [Disclaimer: No, I don’t know the Bunny Lady, nor have I ever corresponded with her, nor do I have any ulterior motive in promoting her; I just genuinely enjoyed her site and the wealth of easily digestible, user friendly, and clearly well researched information she offers and want to help others who may be looking for it find strong, reliable resources as well… Hence why I’d write *this* much content just for a review of… yunno… litter…Anyway, highly recommend this litter for rabbits. I’ll probably continue to research about & tweak how I do my bun’s litter so I can get it to be as efficient & environmentally sustainable & affordable as possible, but this may well be that sweet spot.

    Works well for pet rats
I bought this unscented litter as a bedding for my pet rat since I was having an allergic reaction to the Care Fresh Natural Paper bedding and the fleece bedding smelled too awful. While she’s not a huge fan of it, it definitely helps curb the smell and keeps my office from smelling less like I have a rodent cage in it.My only critique is it isn’t 100% dust free. While the dust is less than a paper bedding, it’s still noticeable when I clean her cage out. The pellets kind of disintegrate when wet. No idea how that would work for a cat litter, but it does a decent job as rodent bedding — though she tends to just push it all to the side and pee/poop directly on to the litter pan instead. Like I said, she’s not a huge fan lol*Also, I’ve never tried the regular texture kind, but if this is a softer texture, I can’t imagine how hard the other stuff must be. This isn’t exactly soft.

Most important is that it is available to purchase. So far the only non clumping product made from paper that does not have anything in it but paper rolled up into tubes that does not have ammonia blockers whatever that is or backing soda which cats cannot have as it will make them sick. These additives are not for the benefit of the cat it is for the benefit of the purchaser who obviously is either not very bright or does not care about their cat. Look it up online a cat cannot consume more than, I believe 1/10th of a teaspoon and cat clean themselves getting this product into their system. I will also not use clay as it sticks to their lungs and one of my cats died from this at a healthy 13 years old. The wheat, sawdust, corn cob or other litter products also be cleaning themselves or inhaling get into their system. This is the only product so far I will use on my cats. Purina has made another paper product from paper (flakes) which I am not sure how it becomes clumping unless it is because of the flake like texture. It is firstly extremely expensive approx 20 lbs for $30+ dollars. They say it goes a longer way. I do not believe it. As this product I am buying now when I use it is not 3x less use than clumping litter but my house does not small from cat, urine, poo or anything else cat like. I use a lot of this litter as you can see by my order as I am only allowed to order from Amazon 5 bags at a time every 7-8 days. I thank you for your service and hope you can knock some sense into Purina for giving me a hard time ordering this product and over pricing their new unaffordable flake like product.

¡Vuélvanlo a poner disponibleeeee!Es lo mejor que he encontrado…

Just to give you some specifications: I live in an one bedroom apartment with my partner and our 3 furry friends. We only have space for one litter box, unfortunately (and luckily our cats share it without any issue) and so litter duty is quite important, in our home, otherwise it smells horrible, real quick!I’ve tried so many litter brands, always looking for clay-litter alternatives. Pretty Litter, BoxieCat, PetSafe and Catit are some of the brand names I’ve tried.Purina’s litter is the big winner for our cats and here’s why:While we try to clean the litter every day, sometimes, life gets in the way and it takes 2-3 days before it gets done. The litter box is situated in the bathroom, the smallest space in the apartment and even with 3 cats, on the days that the cleaning has been forgotten, the litter doesn’t stink. Unless one of the cats just got their business done, it’s usually pretty smell-free.One of the cats is also pretty picky and doesn’t like the hardness of wood shavings, yet it hasn’t had any problem with this litter, even though it’s the original texture (a softer texture exists if needed). The clean up is pretty easy and without a mess. There’s a bit of dust but nothing as toxic as clay or even silica gel/crystal.I couldn’t recommend this litter enough. It’s a life saver when you don’t want the whole house smelling like cat urine/excrements.

I started …well my cats, not me, started using this product 15 years ago. We switched as my cat had developed the strange behaviour of eating clumping litter after having surgery.. no joke! Anyway, my veterinarian (well hers, not mine) had recommended this product, and I haven’t switched since. It keeps the room clean, scent-free and is fairly easy to scoop. It makes a great scavenging hunt and an archaeology adventure! Just push away the clean products to retrieve the soiled parts.Feedback from my cats: Meow meow meow… works great! Can we have treats now?

This is the best litter we have been able to find for our purposes. For whatever reason,Purina decided to stop selling it in Canada.Luckily we were still able to purchase it through Amazon for the last several months. For some reason at the end of 2021 the price went up about 45%.We have a lot of cats and thus need a lot of litter which made this unaffordable.
