Good for seniors
My 16 year old fur baby approves! She has sundowners and tends to get restless at night. She also seems to struggle with getting in a comfortable position due to arthritis but this really seems to help!

Great For Crate Training
This item only arrived yesterday, but within 60 seconds of giving it to my puppies, it was already serving its purpose. We have two 8 week-old Corgi puppies that we just started crate training 3 days ago. I anticipated they might have a hard time/separation anxiety, so I wanted to have this on hand. Now, my boys are picking up on things & learning really fast, but it doesn’t change the fact that they’re still just babies who want to be loved and snuggled. While they would eventually settle on their own in about 15-20 minutes, they would cry when first going in. After I put this soothing toy in (with the heartbeat device on, a heat pack & the lavender pouch) they settled in about a minute. Each time they’ve gone back in the crate (3 or 4 times since last night) they’ve settled right in with their soothing toy.THE ONLY CON:My only concern is that the inner pouch is secured with velcro. I, for one, have very curious boys, so part of me does worry they might try to rip it open/bite through the fabric. It is important to know that LAVENDER, WHEN CONSUMED, IS TOXIC TO DOGS AND CATS. For the time being, I’ll leave the pouch in there, but if they continue trying to “investigate,” I’ll take the scent pouch out and discard of it. This is just something to be aware of should you decide to get this for your pet(s).(Fun facts about the Corgi’s for my fellow pet-lovers)-Our merle, the mostly white one, is named Goose. He is super snuggly and very attached to mom! He is also the instigator of trouble during playtime.-Our mostly black little guy is Indiana Jones, but we call him Indy. He is Mr. Independent and loves to explore and have his own space. When it comes to bedtime, though, he becomes very snuggly with his dad.

Soothing, calming, and extremely easy to use.
This is an absolutely fantastic product for very young puppies and kittens, its a must have really. I foster kittens frequently and this is just perfect for difficult transitions and anxious/sad babies. When I ordered this, I was actually between fosters so the only pet on hand to test this was my own cat, who is now more than a year old and decidedly not a baby anymore. When I gave it to her with the “heartbeat” turned on and the warming pack inserted, she was a bit dubious at first. Than she laid her head on top of it and a few moments later had her whole body wrapped around it, sleeping comfortable and purring every time she woke up. I am not sure I am allowed to use this with the fosters, its apparently hers now.The features are really great and well designed. There is an internal battery pack that produces a very realistic heartbeat, that can be switched on or off. There are heating packs that go inside the pillow, two are included with the pillow, so you will need to buy more. Thankfully they are just those heating pads sold as handwarmers at the drug store, easy to acquire and very inexpensive. There is also an “aromatherapy” pack that includes a bunch of calming herbs. All of this is stuffed inside an internal pocket in the pillow and secured with Velcro. The pillow itself is super soft and well designed, my cat has been busy kneading it for ages now.Honestly this thing is a total win. If even my non-kitten cat is in love with it, any young puppy or kitten would love to have it.

Cute but not for our puppy
Our puppy chews on the velcro strip that holds the heartbeat in the toy. We are afraid he will get to the heartbeat, chew it and get hurt or worse so we took it out so he only plays with the plush toy.

This could be a great thing with kittens
I was hoping that this would be so soothing for my cat who are adverse to riding in cars and visiting vets. To be honest, the beating heart thing seemed to freak them out a bit. They all look at it oddly and veered away.I expect, though that with orphaned kittens, for example, young ones, they would really respond positively to this. It does exactly what it says, it offers a combination of heat and warmth. It would be nice if it held a reheatable heat pad instead of disposable ones, and in this age of rechargeable batteries, it is a bit disappointing that this one had batteries it needed to be replaced. I think it’s a nice idea, but those upgrades would make it more useful. The fact that my cats did not respond positively to it doesn’t speak to the quality or the usefulness of this. Cats are going to cat, as we all know by now.

Kittens loved this heartbeat plush after a wash (I couldn’t smell anything bad or good)
This heartbeat plush is a good size for a litter of kittens. The material is soft and the heartbeat works well. I never use the heating aspects of these as I keep kittens on a heating pad so cannot comment on that.I actually got a litter of fosters the day after I received this so I was able to try it immediately. None of the kittens would cuddle up to it. Thinking it might be the fresh from factory smell I washed it (removed heartbeat and scent, washed cold dried on low, with a bunch of kitten blankets) and tried again and they all started suckling and kneading it. I couldn’t smell anything off, it didn’t smell like memory foam does and wasn’t shrink wrapped. But their noses are better than mine. Kittens in pic are 3 weeks old for reference and weigh 225-275 grams.
