I almost sent this thing back
We live on a lake with a McNab Dog who cools off after catching Aerobies and running his herding ball at our local park by forcing us to throw disks into the lake for him. When I opened up this Ruffwear medium size disk 3-4 years ago(?), my first thought was “Really, $25 for this thing flimsy thing”. After God knows how many throw/retrievals on the water, after being left in the yard, through rain, freezes and snow. My wife can toss this thing into the washer and it is GOOD AS NEW!Notes: its easy to over power this disk. Throw it with a finger tip grip, not out of your palm. You won’t get 60 yrds out of it, but its easy to get it 30-yrds out. I’d put this thing up against any other similar disk for durability, but It’s not a chew toy. If your dog is a chewer take the disk away when not in use, or buy him/her a chew toy.I’ve thrown disks thousands of times for the 6 dogs I’ve owned over 35 years (it’s daily exercise around here). There are probably 30-40 disks of various types in my home right now for indoor, outdoor, water, and distance use. I have better disks for 50yard+ throwing on land, (Aerobies), but If you told me that I could only keep 1 disk to exercise my dog/s for the next five years, I think I’d pick this Ruffwear medium size disk; I have the large Ruffwear disc too, but its a little bit big for an aussie or border-collie. This is such a nice toy for my border collie! It flies pretty straight, and I am not worried about my dog hurting her mouth when she goes to catch it because it is soft and lightweight. This toy doubles as a tug because even if it is soaking wet, you and your dog can still grab on, no problem. I haven’t tried to clean it yet, but it is not that dirty even after a lot of playing. 100/10 I am getting a spare for sure! I am so happy and can’t recommend this enough!

It’s tough, durable and my dog’s favorite toy!
My dog loves this frisbee, especially the hole in the center. She’s so proud when she catches it, she runs around with her nose in the center and her mouth on the inner rim. So far it has stood up to my Terrier chewing it and playing tug-of-war with other dogs.

Kya has never played with a frisbee before but we wanted to choose one that was inviting and could also be used for a game of tug since she is turned off by hard toys. Because it’s not hard, she’s able to bite down and play with it more comfortably. She loves this toy and it really gets her going! I believe she can see the colors more clearly as well because of how bright it is! 🥹

Flies very well, soft on dogs mouth for playing catch, and is really, really, durable. It has lasted months of very rough play with zero damage (including the occasional tug of war…though would not that recommend too often!) It’s seen mud, rivers, stones and teeth and come out the other side flying perfectly. Our dog LOVES it. Tempted to buy another couple in case I ever lose this one, as it’s the best toy we’ve bought by far.
