Water toy for medium to large dogs
my hubby surprised me with a 7 wk old amstaff puppy back in april. The 1st night he brough him home I was in the shower and this little 6 pound black and white baby snuggled up to my neck in the shower. then he tried getting a drink before he laid back in my arms and let me shampoo him. The next night when I was in the shower, he cam trotting in there and started crying until I put him in there. It wasn;t quite warm enough for the pool yet so, I ordered him a splash pad and couldn’t keep him off of it. after his parvo shots were deemed effective, I took him over to the beach. I didn’t let him go in far because by then he was only 13 pounds. Now hes allowed to go further. When he hit 15 pounds he got his own 12′ deep pool that he Loves. Caught him climbing the ladder to the big pool so I ordered him a dog floaty. If we aren’t walking the beach, we walk a nature trail that has a creek and river, basically, I can’t keep this boy out of the water. However, he does like to have something solid under his feet, he doesn’t actually like swimming yet. So naturally, he needed toys for the water and of course, all little puppies love to play tug. This little boy Loves a squeaky almost as much as he loves the water, So this adorable turtle toy is the best of all his favs. He loves retrieving things under the water and his float has a section in the middle that allows him to get in the water while still having something under his feet and gives just enough room that he can get a good tug going, the turtle does have a squeaker but youre gonna have to do some searching for it as it is quite plush in the body and of course the material is a thick water resistant canvasy material. It will still absorb water and when it does, boy does it get heavy.. This is definitely a medium to large dog toy, it is advertised as small to medium but, its too big for a small breed, just let it dry out good in the sun or it will get really smelly and you won’t want to play with it.

My dog didn’t like it. I have been looking for a plastic jelly fish with strings. She has one that looks like a mushroom. It has to be smooth. Can’t find one anywhere but the far east and couldn’t figure out how to order it.

Great pool toy for all dogs.
Excellent floating dog toy. My puppy loves this, in the pool or as a play toy in the living room. It definitely floats well. It’s a little big for small dogs, but for big dogs it’ll be a perfect pool toy. It doesn’t sink easily, but if you squeeze it too much under water it will lose its buoyancy.

Fun Dog Toy
We have four dogs who love to play with toys and this is a fun option. The different textures are fun for them to play with. The material couldn’t stand up to my super chewer, who quickly removed the squeaker, but it has held up to the more regular play of our other dogs. My thrasher really enjoys this toy and has tossed it around quite a bit. We didn’t use this in the water, but the material seems to be fine for that purpose. The toy is a little more expensive than some, but it’s fairly sturdy, so overall I think the value is there. It’s a cute toy that I think serves it’s function, so I would recommend it.

Cute, fun, not a water toy
My dog LOVED this turtle toy. She carried it all over the house for awhile until it finally exploded stuffing “accidentally” all over the dining room. It squeaks and the legs are made of rope. The fabric is a pretty good “firehose like” fabric, but not nearly as durable. I would not recommend this as a pool/water toy, like the listing suggests. This toy does float, but it does not have any lining in it to keep it from getting water logged. Water soaked stuffing inside of a toy is a recipe for mold and mildew growth. After testing it out once, I let it dry outside in the sun for 2 days and then it was strictly an inside-only toy. It’s a big toy, too, good for Med-XL dogs.
