UPDATE – Very efficient, great app, no smell.
UPDATE:We’ve used this for over two months now, and we love it! There are a few small issues, but it’s the best one I’ve seen. We have a different brand/design that does not work as well as this.Over time, the box gets a little dirty, especially if you were running it with too little litter (oops). I would say a monthly wash would be ideal. I washed it now at about two months and was super happy with how easy it was to clean. The lid and stand can be wiped with paper towel or baby wipes and clean up easily. The rolling barrel comes right out and can be hosed off. The large openings in the top and side make it easy to spray and everything (poo smears and litter crumbs) came off quick. The bottom is a weird, mostly waterproof fabric which works well to prevent clumps from sticking to it, just remember to dry it out after washing. The main issue I’ve found with the box is that, for whatever reason, the app does NOT send a notification when the box is stuck or the tray is full. When I go into the app, it knows it’s stuck and will say so, but it doesn’t send a notification. It’s an infrequent problem that would be solved by me emptying the tray in a timely manner, but I’d much prefer if it could yell at me when it’s stuck so I can go and fix it ASAP. I won’t take a star off for it, but it is frustrating.I’m really pleased with it’s value, currently it costs $300 with a sale at $210. Way cheaper than the name brand ones and works (in my opinion) better and doesn’t require proprietary litter or replaceable trays or anything, which are super pricey when you have three cats.Overall I can easily recommend it!ORIGINAL:This automatic litter box thoroughly impressed me! We’ve been using it for a few weeks now. Our cats took to it right away, and when it’s running it’s very quiet and doesn’t spook them. The sensors are great and so far very reliable. It has always sensed when they come near and has always stopped. There is no closing door for when it’s cleaning, so there’s no pinch risk. Some of the other popular designs sold are very dangerous for cats. This one is super safe.It doesn’t take up much more room than our past litter box, just a regular “large closed top” type box. It’s taller. The inside is a bit small, our cats are about 10lb and 12lb, the larger can still use it fine but if your cats are particularly large (Maine Coon, etc) they may have trouble with it. The small area isn’t too big of a deal because it scoops after every use.The smell is actually quite well managed. It has a little fan inside (still can’t tell where) that runs after it scoops and I think it blows the air through a scented carbon filter (replaceable). After it scoops there is practically no smell. It uses the “Tuya” smart home app, which was easy to use and set up notifications for. I rejected all non necessary permissions and am using a guest account and everything still works great. I can adjust how long it waits to scoop (I have it on 90 seconds so it has time to clump), and I changed it so it can only send one notification every 2 minutes so it doesn’t spam me when a cat is interrupting it.The little step on the front is quite nice and catches most of the litter tracking. I put a mat under the step as well. The step easily holds my cats’ weight. The only issues I’ve had is that a few times the cat pooped on the entrance edge, but it’s easy to clean and isn’t the fault of the litter box.I use regular clumping clay litter (Dr Elsey) and haven’t had any issues with it sticking to the rake or any part of the box.The included trash bags are great, not too thin. I have two cats and change it every 4-6 days. It’s expensive, I’ll admit, but as long as it lasts I’m very pleased with it’s value. I had surgery and not having to scoop is a huge weight off my shoulders.

Great potential.
Loved this box but after going through a couple with technical issues, we ended up returning and choosing another. I think maybe our cat was too big and voluminous for this one. Still… I loved the design and the function when it did work. Their customer service (and Amazon’s) was amazing.

Good automated cat litter box
This is a nice, automated cat litter box – while it’s not the same quality of the name brand robot, it’s good for the price. I think the little ears are cute, but I don’t think my cats notice them. This is being used as a backup for my three cats – they primarily use the robot, but there are times when it’s in use and it can cause a cranky cat fight. This helps keep the peace, especially after dinner time. It’s small but functional – I don’t know if I would rely upon it as a primary box, even in a single-cat home, but it’s working well for my use case.

Sturdy and Quality Material
Cat litter bags are super durable and large. I love how they have the strings like the normal trash bags for easy clean up!

Worth the convenience.
I ordered this self cleaning litter “box” (I put quotations for the obvious reason that it is indeed a sphere, rather than a box) on February 9th, 2025, and it is now March 26th, 2025. This is not a cheap product, and, it includes many mechanisms, moving parts and features that are notorious for failing. To adequately judge it’s functionality and longevity, I needed at least this amount of time. So far, so good, which is a relief, because several hundred dollars is a significant investment. The design is cute and cat friendly. It isn’t ominous or unusual, but while operating, it can be slightly unsettling for your felines. Like humans, not all cats are the same, but I think it’s reasonable to expect a potential adjustment period. Thankfully, it does operate quietly, but the movement of the interior and the subtle, yet unavoidable noise it does make may seem peculiar to your feline.Overall, it may seem smaller than your previous set up, at least the litter surface area. This is probably by design, as the overall unit is, rightly so, sizable. What it lacks in width, it makes up for in height and overall footprint (or should I say paw print). It’s definitely not something that can be tucked away somewhere, though if you are in the market for something like this, I’m sure you’ve already anticipated this reality. As stated above, it has run smoothly and without issue, so I can, as it stands now, speak highly to its durability and longevity. The ease of cleaning is relatively simple and thoughtfully designed, and it does a good job of filtering. Yet, as mentioned above, it is rather small, and I find that more litter ends up outside of the unit then traditional litter boxes. Unfortunately, this seems unavoidable regardless of your personal cat’s tendencies. The product page does state that it can work with whatever litter you choose, though it is clear that certain litters are better than others. Litters that clump really well will benefit you greatly. The app is helpful, but it can only provide just so much information. I suppose I was expecting more, but it seems accurate and functional. Thankfully, I already have the compatible app. I’ve made note of this recently in another review, and it seems that manufacturers are taking notice. People don’t want several apps to manage all of their devices. I’m glad this app developer has distinguished themselves and developed a universally compatible platform for connected devices to work, and that they have successfully contracted with many different companies. This self cleaning litter box achieves its intended purpose. It automatically filters and cleans your litter, and provides a simple way to remove waste. Perhaps some tweaks could make it more efficient, especially for the cost, but you are getting convenience. Not all conveniences are created equal. For a job like cleaning the litter box, on top of all the other thankless household chores we undertake, paying for that convenience is well worth it.
