Saves us a lot of time
It’s pretty expensive but it really helps when things get hectic and you can’t scoop the box every single day. No smells and the cat doesn’t track litter EVERYWHERE like she does with normal litter. Honestly, for the sake of not have litter strung about the house, this stuff is worth it.And yes, we’ve even used all kinds of special mats in front of the box to try to cut down on how much litter was scattered with traditional litters, it helped minimally, but she still would get litter stuck between her toes and spread it around. Trust me, Skoon is a nice change of pace and will keep your house tidier.

Great cat litter but high price
This cat litter is awesome because it literally is like 99.9% track free. No more litter to clean up on the floor everyday! It also eliminates urine smells well. The only thing I don’t like about it is the price.

Love/Hate this litter. It’s GREAT for only a week.
I’ve tried COUNTLESS cat litters so far (well, not countless, but easily over 30 kinds by now). This one, I’m very conflicted about. like the title says, I have a love/hate relationship with it. Why? Glad you asked (although I know you didn’t).Pros:- The size of the pebbles is rather big, which means there is no litter tracking whatsoever (in the aspect of litter tracking, this is the best litter I’ve ever tried, bar-none).- It is rather light- Adequately low-dust- During first 7ish days, the odor control is phenomenal, not THE best I’ve tried, but probably top 3.- It’s a funny material, kind of like rubbery rocksCons:- After 7-10 days, it starts getting FOUL (and yes, I was scooping solids and stirring it twice a day) [I also only have 1 cat]. By the 2 week mark, the smell was very noticeable, and by the third week, it was terrible, I think it never lasted me more than 20 days.- Considering the above point, we have to factor in price, since I was changing the litter 3-4 times every 2 months, that was close to $25 a month on litter, for a single cat, which is the most I’ve ever spent on litter.Oh, and oddly enough, my cat likes biting the little ‘pebbles’ when the litter is brand new. Such a weirdo.

    works well
No dust and no tracking –

  5. DC

    Terrible
I bought this mainly because it is suppose to be dust free. I opened the bag and poured it into the litter boxes and got an explosion of dust in my face. The litter is hard with sharp edges like gravel. Nothing worse than walking on a Tile floor and stepping on this litter. Has no real odor control. My cats don’t rally care for it either. Can’t really say anything good about it.

    Cons outweigh the pros
After relentlessly being served ads for this product, I decided to see if it lived up to its promises. At $30 for an 8lb bags, it should be nearly perfect.I was looking for a low-tracking litter that my cats couldn’t take with them as it seemed like were carrying pawfuls of traditional clay litter out with every visit to the box. It’s not tracking-proof, but Skoon definitely succeeds in keeping them from tracking it very far and the pieces are big and relatively easy to sweep up. That’s about the only problem this litter solves.I have two indoor cats and I was lucky to get more than 12 days of odor-free usage out of one whole bag. Maintenance on this product is easy with the daily scooping of solids and stirring to maximize liquid absorption, but when you have to empty and clean the whole box more than once a week, it’s more trouble than it’s worth. Usually by day 5, the urine/ammonia odor was so bad it could peel paint off the walls. Additionally, because it’s hard to judge how long a bag will last and shipping is ALWAYS slow or delayed with this product, you’re likely to run out when you need more. It’s not sold in stores either. This led me to trying another litter out of necessity so I won’t be going back to Skoon.Basically, if you have one indoor/outdoor cat, this might be a good, relatively non-messy option for you. Overall, it is low-tracking, but this litter is not a good value for the money, poor odor control, and requires frequent maintenance.

    great great product
I tried one bag of this because I wanted to see how it worked before I bought enough for all my litter boxes. It is really a great product and I am considering buying enough for all five of my litter boxes. It is much easier than regular litter because for you only have to scoop the poop and then run the little scooper through the litter box. It lasted for more than a month and also there is no litter dust, no litter on the paws nothing. I think it is the best litter I have ever used. I wish it was not as expensive. I have three cats and five boxes. However if you use a premium cat litter it is almost as expensive per bag or box. Just only having to scoop the poop eliminates larger bags of dirty litter in my garbage. Its a great new invention and I have tried everything for the last 50 years.

    Give it a shot
At first I was skeptical but I really like it. I’ve tried most kinds of litter and really only like a few. We have 3 cats (2 older 1 young) that can be a little finicky with where they go. This is very lightweight and absorbent. It is hard to tell how much they have urinated in it so while I *think* it does a great job controlling odor I can’t be 100% sure they aren’t just peeing in the other boxes. I do know they have used it. My complaint is really just that the chunks are big. Maybe pinky nail sized but they are softer than say a crystal that size. My kids prefer smaller chunks. Actually they prefer no chunks but that would track everywhere. Anyway, this does track a bit since it is light but they are big so it’s easy to see and vacuum up. I’m happy with the litter and will continue to keep 1 box with it but I dont think I will change over all the boxes to it. They don’t flock to this one so I think changing them all could be disastrous for my carpet pee-er
