Holds my chonky boy
I had my concerns that this wouldn’t hold my thick boy but apparently they were unfounded! He actually really loves laying in it and it does bounce and bend quite a bit but he has yet to crash to the floor. He looks so cozy and happy in it!

I don’t expect it to last.
This is ok. The first time I installed it and a kitten got in it, it fell down after about 20 minutes. I had it pretty tight, but not tight enough I guess and the felt rolled under it (see photo). I really screwed it down even more the next time, plus I think the felt being more bunched together than flat helps it from rolling. One kitten seems to like this. Another one, won’t touch it. The kittens are still only about 8 lbs, but when he’s in it, there’s quite the bend.

Kept detaching
I screwed this onto my desk as tightly as it would go, and it felt completely secure. Even so, when my elbow happened to knock it the next day, it fell right off. Then the same thing happened a second time. Because of that, I don’t want to reattach it, because I don’t want that to happen when there is actually a cat in it. Be aware that it’s also pretty small. I consider my cat to be medium sized (she’s about 11 pounds), and this looked like it would have been a tight squeeze, had she tried to get in. I’m giving this three stars instead of less because I’m not completely sure that the issues with it staying put weren’t my fault (I saw another review where their cat was laying in it just fine).

Wouldn’t stay attached
Despite following the directions completely, this would not stay attached with the weight of my cat in it. All it did was fall repeatedly, and scratch up my table.

Stable and Comfortable Cat Hammock
This desk-mounted cat bed is sturdy and holds its shape well, giving cats a secure place to relax. It’s easy to assemble and attaches firmly to the desk without wobbling.
