The gave this 4/4 paws plus one tail.
I have a bunch of these. They do sometimes stop because the battery can be disconnected from the sheer torque applied by the motor as they scurry around, but we have tons and I’ve only had to repair one (battery came unsoldered) after constant use.I asked the cat what he thought about them, and he just tapped me on the leg to get me to turn it back on again. I tried to get him to focus on the question, and he just stared at me like I was some kind of fool for asking. He also threatened to stick his whiskers in my ear at 3AM if I didn’t give in to his playtime demands. True story. These have a grippy silicone/rubber sort of casing that gives them good traction, and these are charged with a USB-C cable. Most of them just zip around, but some like to also flip back and forth repeatedly in between zips. I am always amazed at how well they get out of spots that seemed to stop them / capture them / restrict them, but they are not AI — just good general programming. This also lights up, which is nice, especially when it runs under the furniture and you can see it before you have to go looking when it takes a rest period (or stops from that ‘run’).There are complaints about the battery life, but the battery is tiny to fit in the housing, so it’s not going to last like a small pink bunny supposedly did.I also found, if you’re handy at repair, that a drop of hot glue on each battery wire on the circuit board provided extra mechanical connection and kept the wire in place. They would be better if the battery was socketed, but I’m not sure many people would use that design feature so it’s probably a waste of resources. If anything the one problem is that the cat clearly has an addiction now, but he’s more insistent at demanding stimulation in general of any cat or dog I’ve known.A fantastic cat toy for our little buddy.

Complete dud don’t waste your money
These kind of stink – don’t waste your money buy the name brand instead. One of these balls is a complete dud, doesn’t charge, doesn’t turn on, nothing. The other is barely functional and can only go a foot max before it stops and tries to spin but can’t. If I could return this I would, my cat’s frustrated he can’t chase them 🙁

    Cat fun
The cat lives these. Random patterns. Occasionally so random we can’t find them. We had one that we could not recharge.

    DOA on arrival l.
On works the other did not. When you see a review saying one works and one dosent…. unfortunately it was true in my case. The one that works the cats like it. Lasted around 10 mins before having to recharge.

    Stops Working after 2 months
Worked great for about 2 months, after that one wouldn’t charge at all and the other only held a charge for about 3 minutes. Great for picking up any loose hair you might have on the ground, gets tangled in between the ball and the outer gray plastic very easily, so it would slow down a lot and I’d have to pick it up and take out the 3 hairs that wrapped in a circle around the tiny motor. Cat loved it when it worked. Too costly for me to want to buy a replacement set every couple months though. Wish they lasted longer. Nice that they charge with a USBC.

    Super kitty toys
My kitty girls love them. Unfortunately, they keep getting lost under the furniture.

    Cat approved
Cats LOVE it. The only issue we have had so far is the charger that came with it. It doesn’t seem to plug in very well. We just use our phone charger instead. Great product otherwise. Will probably buy a second one.

    Clever, but noisy
This is kind of a neat toy. It charged quickly and looked fun. It is pretty noisy, with a loud whirring sound that horrified my cat (Charlie the Moose) so much that he played with it only tentatively at first. Not that he is used to the noise, Charlie plays with it more. It’s less noisy on carpeted floors than tile. The ball abruptly changes direction and wiggles it’s tail like a squirrel, which capture my cat’s interest and keep him chasing. It is pretty fast, which is also great for a busy kitty who needs some exercise. I find myself looking around for it a lot—it will stop moving after a few minutes and that turns my cat off as well. It would be great if it would turn itself on when nudged by a cat.Overall, it is worth it. It is fun and challenging and gets my Charlie up and running. Just wish it was a little quieter.
