Not long play time
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Keep cat interested but it only works for 5mins. What do you know cats? It takes my cat a minute you warm up then it’s off. By the time she into it , it shuts off. Their for I have to keep getting up and turning it back on.

Cats love this toy!
The cats love this toy and it’s so fun to watch them play with it. They love that the movement is hidden (when it’s in the case) and will chase the light for hours. The material the case is made of is noisy enough that I don’t want them playing with it if I’m going to watch tv or be on the phone, but not so loud that it’s annoying from another room. The ball alone doesn’t make that much noise except for bumping into furniture. I like that it’s rechargeable with the included USB cable. Using it without the case is kind of a pain because it will roll under furniture and never find its way out, so then none of the cats care anymore and you have to go retrieve it (assuming you didn’t lose track of it yourself – finding it can be a problem if you’re not watching). It’s good that the furry tail thing (for when it’s not in the case) is removable because we will probably only ever use it inside the case after the first couple times we had to chase it down. The cats like it in the case much better anyway. The battery only lasts about 15 minutes with continuous play, then you’ll have to plug it in, but it’s very entertaining for all of us in that quarter hour.

Cat lost interest quickly-can’t figure out the appeal of the plush cover which doesn’t stay on
The best thing about this item is that you don’t have to go looking for toys that roll under furniture or into another room. I found that my cat liked chasing the hidden ball as it rolled around inside and flashed but when he couldn’t actually catch it, he lost interest. He would go back to it from time to time but eventually, he just ignored it. What is the purpose of the plush cover? It doesn’t stay in place and serves no purpose that I can see. Maybe your cat might enjoy playing with it separately as a toss ring. I haven’t given it to mine yet to test that out.
