It was fun for a little while anyway.
I have never tried one of these balls before, so when I expected to be able to figure it out without using the instruction manual, I was quickly humbled by my inability to figure out why I couldn’t even plug it in let alone turn it on.Plugging it in – it’s one of those well covered ports with a nearly invisible slice in the silicone and I had to look at the picture to figure it out.Turning it on – I pushed all over the little area that looked like the power button. I thought that perhaps I got a dud. But when I read the instructions and saw you have to hold down the power button (duh – so a dog can’t turn it on and off themselves), I finally got it working.After that, I let it loose for the dog…. who chased it around briefly and was excited that I was excited. Once I walked away, however, the excitement was gone and the ball rolled around sadly with no one paying any attention to it. I tried the other settings – to see if the more aggressive movements were more appealing, but for the most part, it was ignored.The ball has been sitting quietly on the floor ever since I first turned it on. I think there’s still a charge, because I find it in different places on occasion – unclear if it’s because it decided to roll around on its own to try to get a dog to play, or if it was accidentally kicked or batted by a paw. Perhaps our pup just isn’t that into these types of toys, but after the humility of having to read the manual to get the thing to work, not having the dog care about it at all is a bit of a bummer. But that’s a problem with the owner, not the ball.

Barely does anything
This thing barely moves. We had to hold it in our hand to notice it doing anything. It’s super weak. It barely moved on hardwood floors and couldn’t move at all if it was on any sort of fabric, rug, or carpet.Even when it did move, the dead time between movements was way too long. At the highest setting, my dogs would lose interest before it started moving again.For the price, this toy should have done much more. There are toys at quarter of the price that do more.
Sniffing Out the Best –
Durable, but not indestructible
My Boston Terrier pup loves interactive toys, but the last three we tried didn’t last more than a few uses. This one is definitely a step up in design! That said, it’s not quite as chew-proof as I’d hoped. They do warn it’s not for aggressive chewers, so I wasn’t too surprised. While it’s still fully functional, it has some visible bite marks after a few sessions, so I’m keeping an eye on him with it.The best part is that it’s still bouncing and rolling like the day we got it! The charging port is well-designed, and the button isn’t easy to press, which is great because my dog can’t accidentally turn it off. He has a blast chasing it around, and it gets him worked up enough to wear him out quickly. The small size is perfect for small to medium dogs.I’m not sure any interactive ball can truly stand up to the toughest chewers, but this one comes the closest. And since we were warned, Dover insisted I give it a solid 5 barks!

Great interactive toy!
My german shepherd loves this toy. She loves how it move on its own, rolls under furniture, and bounces around. She will carry it around in her mouth even while it is moving and vibrating, too. She loves fetch, so we do toss it in the house on a wood floor. It it heavy and makes a loud noise when it hits the floor, but it is holding up great so far! The battery doesn’t last an incredibly long time. We use it casually and not every day, and have to charge it about once per week. So she probably gets 4-5 session of playing with it for about 15 minutes before it needs to be charged. I’d hang on to the instructions so you can remember what the different light colors mean since there are no descriptors on the ball itself. Overall though this is holding up well even to my german shepherd’s strong jaws and her tossing it around.

Durable
This ball was working for all of one week, now my dog just loves to chew on it. It doesn’t light up anymore nor does it bounce or do anything. I gave it 4 stars because it’s definitely durable.
