Great product to get them more active
My older dog needed some stimulation since he can’t walk much anymore. This is great and he likes to hunt for his treats.

Great cognitive development
My pup has no complaints. I’m not sure how long it will last after numerous washes.

Good Product
Both my cats and dogs love this. They’ve gotten too fast at finding the treats, though. It’s good to keep my puppy busy for a short while. The cats have a good time with it.

Clever idea to entertain your dog–I didn’t think it would work but it does!
When I ordered this product, I was dubious about whether my two picky pugs would even give it a second sniff…boy, was I wrong! They love this crazy mat–I use it for a special treat after I’ve been gone or after a long walk, and they search it for up to 30 minutes after I hide treats in it and lay it out on the floor for them. And if I leave it there after they finish searching it over, they come back to it and sniff it all over again later just to make sure they didn’t miss anything. I hide pieces of their kibble, little liver snacks, chew sticks and bones in all the appropriate places, and put a few slightly larger items in the big pocket (a pig ear, a teething ring, etc, that are harder to work out of the pocket), so that it requires more time and effort to find everything. Some of the snacks they eat as they find, and some of the bigger chewy pieces they drop on the side in order to keep looking—it’s easy to pick up a few of those item and put them back for tomorrow’s episode so they don’t overeat today. This really is a cute idea and fun for my dogs….not sure how long it will last but so far they haven’t ripped it or torn any pieces off. It’s about the right size for one or two small dogs or one larger dog; well worth the cost if your dog enjoys it repeatedly as mine do!

Frenchie said no
My french bulldog enjoyed this for a couple of days, but quickly got over it. It is hard to find all the food in all the little cavities, and if you leave food in it, the oil gets absorbed into the fabric. This seemed to attract ants if left for long without cleaning. To clean it, though, you first need to find all the little food bits that are buried inside. Also, this mat is very large and takes up a lot of space.I expected my dog to like this because she loves to bury her food in her blanket, but this somehow didn’t seem to hold the same appeal for her.

Great mat if your dog doesn’t chew fabric!
My dog has several puzzle-style mats that she is a pro at solving, so I thought I’d try this one to give her something new. Overall, she loved this mat. This was my first fabric treat mat to use with her (all of the others are rubber or plastic), so there were a few things I had not really considered in advance:1) More difficult to clean, especially if you use a treat that is somewhat crumbly, which I did without thinking. The crumbs wanted to stick in the fabric, so that took a bit to clean.2) My dog is larger and extremely food motivated. So, when she had trouble getting her treats from a few areas, her instinct was to try to chew through the fabric. She did tear up the fabric in her pursuit of treats. Now that I am more aware of these two things, I am conscientious about the type of treats that I use, and I watch her closer when she is using it. Incredibly happy with the purchase, but you should be aware of these things if your dog has a history of chewing through fabric or if you want to break up larger treats to use.

Not for large pets
While I love this idea. This material shredded after one use from my puppy. I have an English mastiff. After 1 use most of the felt material was shredded. This product was well made. Great colors and additions for pets. Beware large pet owners.

Robson, my Beagle puppy, loves it. As it’s bigger than other snuffle mats, it keeps him occupied for ages – even when he thinks he’s done with it, he comes back throughout the day to find any stray bits of kibble. Great buy!

jack russell loves it. but i wish the base was firmer to stay in position, instead of ending in a big heap on floor in her search to find treats. she cannot lay it flat again. and I have to come to her rescue ! but its good watching her and doesnt take her long to sniff out treats. but a good size even for bigger dogs and good colour. recommended.
