Super Cute and Feels Durable
It can be hard to get a sense of some items from the ad pictures, which is why I was surprised at how cute this toy is when I opened the package. It’s adorable.It also surprised me at how tough the toy feels. Sadly, I can’t say how durable it is from a dog’s attentions, because my dog grabbed the toy from my hands, trotted happily over to the couch with his prize and then proceeded to nuzzle it and baby it. Doh! I even showed him the squeaky in the toy’s head, but my dog just kept nudging the toy with his muzzle and sniffing it.The only place this toy falls short is “treat dispensing” as shown in one of the pictures. The hole really isn’t big enough and the area inside both of the rubber balls doesn’t work right for holding treats. The turtle shell ball it filled with the turtle body and there are weird ribbons of rubber inside. Maybe those ribbons provide an appropriate level of challenge. I couldn’t tell, because my treats are too big to test in this toy.Another thing that surprised me based on the pictures above is that the separate fetch ball is about the size of a tennis ball. It’s smaller along one dimension. I thought it would be bigger.However, there’s one really cool thing about that ball that redeems it in my eyes: Due to the ridge of rubber around the diameter, the ball bounces in unpredictable directions when you throw it. That add and element of excitement. I’ve seen other dog toys that are too unpredictable. This ball is just enough unpredictable to make it fun, but not so unpredictable that it is dangerous.Both of these toys are making my dog very happy. They are a great deal for the price in my opinion, which is currently $14.99.

A favorite toy. Pleasantly surprised with how well this holds up
We have a medium sized dog who is a chewer. She can, I think, chew through anything. We’ve had this toy for over a month, and it has been chewed quite a bit (see picture). But remarkably, only one of the turtle’s feet has actually been chewed off. The feet and head are very durable, and it took a while of dedicated chewing for our dog to get one off. I think it has to do with the design. The turtle’s shell is a rubbery, bite resistant plastic. Instead of always trying to go for the head or feet, our dog will also get distracted by the shell, which is good! We’ve played quite a bit of tug of war. It’s now one of her favorite toys. We haven’t used the ball much, but it’s a nice addition.

Good quality, but doesn’t interest my dog much.
This toy seems durable and nice quality, but my Frenchie is not super interested in it. To be fair, he really loves puzzles, soft stuffies, and bones to chew on.This would probably be great for a dog that is hard on toys. The quality seems very good. The turtle and the the ball that come with both hold treats, but my dog is lazy and doesn’t want to put the effort in to get them out. This isn’t the fault of the toy.I would recommend for dogs that like this style of toy and somewhat aggressive chewers. It is a very cute and high quality set.

Super tough
Awesome toy! Great sense of humor on maker. The additional treat ball is a big bonus. Great design with criss cross inner flaps to make more of a challenge of releasing treats. Sewing and craftsmanship of turtle is superb. Extra reinforced edges. Ultra tough canvas, super cute design, squeaker in turtle head is exceptionally reinforced and perfectly audible but not obnoxious. Rubbers are softer than the canvas bits.

after 2 hours – dog rates it a 5, durability is a 2-3 for those hard on toys
The toy was delivered 2 hours ago. As soon as I opened it and offered the turtle or empty ball, she went for the turtle, leaving the empty treat ball for her brother. He was only interested in the ball when there were kibbles in there.She ran around the house with her new toy and finally figured out how to squeak it and then laid down and just held onto it. Let go of it long enough for dinner and then right back to her new toy. We convinced them to swap and let our male take the turtle for a few mins, supervised, as he will destroy toys – he finds a seam, focuses on it and chomps until the toy is in pieces. She played with the empty ball. 5 stars all around for how much they enjoy the turtle. Ball needs to be full of treats or a human on the other end playing catch.After an hour, we already had the first fatal accident. So this is now a supervised only toy or it will be destroyed more.Our female is actually reasonably gentle on toys and it usually takes longer for her to “break” a toy, so this didn’t quite survive as long as we were hoping/expecting.The treat dispensing ball – isn’t as hard as most treat dispensing balls and my dogs will chomp on theirs a while after they are empty, this ball will need to be picked up once empty as I don’t think it will stand up to their chomping.As far as the turtle dispensing treats from it’s back side… you might get a piece of two of kibbles, but the body of the turtle is in there and doesn’t leave much room for treats.Our girl loves it and is currently curled up on her bed with it, keeping it from her brother. If your dog isn’t hard on toys, this will be perfectly fine for them.

Impressive. Not indestructible but better than expected.
This is a super cute toy and good value for money. For some reason I’d thought this product was one turtle with a removable shell that could be a stand-alone toy, but the ball is actually a second toy.My dog loves both of these toys. She finds the textures delightful and will spend 20 minutes or longer just mouthing the rubber parts.The fabric is not indestructible, but it is sort of “bite resistant,” as the listing describes. It’s more durable than similar toys I’ve tried at this price point, but when my dog really focused on the fabric portion, she did do some damage. The rubber has also surpassed my expectations of durability but it is thinner than your standard “chew proof” toy, so use caution and supervise your dog.Overall I would absolutely recommend and repurchase this item.
