Nice option for the kitty-potty room
For whatever reason the two cats we have now continue to use the litter box even though they’re indoor/outdoor cats (the cat we had before them stopped using an indoor litter box once she was allowed to go outside). So, bummer. But if one has to do a litter box, at least have a nice, sturdy one to work with. This is a well-made option that you can use with or without the top piece — it IS nice to have the litter now splashed all over the floor when the cats are finishing their ‘biz.

My cats like it
I take in a lot of rescue cats and I love this box because stainless steel can be sterilized between cats to make sure nothing gets passed around. I keep an old dishwasher in the basement just for cat things and this washes great and looks brand new when it comes out.The design is sleek and modern. It holds ZERO smell. The rim is great at keeping the mess down and keeping the litter inside and not on the floor. As far as size… it’s a little on the small side but perfect for my kittens and average size cats. A Maine Coon isn’t going to fit in this but my Bengals and “average” cats fit in it just fine. The height is good too. Not super high sided so kittens and senior cats can easily use it but also high enough to be effective.Overall I’m very happy with this box!

Perfect size, easy to maintain.
My cat took right to this box, and the side entry is a perfect solution for me.I had a larger stainless box with a lid, but it had an end entry, so it was more of a ‘hatchback’ than a ‘sedan’ for my cat’s comfort. This one takes up less space, uses less litter, and it’s just easier to wash and maintain. What I love about this setup:The pan is really durable, and the smooth bottom (as opposed to the matte finish on my old one) rinses and dries a lot easier. The lid snaps on easy, although it is a bit difficult to remove. Removing it requires getting my fingers (and nails) underneath to pry it up and off. There’s not much to grab onto. However, it’s secure, and I like the somewhat softer, muted colored material. No sharp edges for my cat’s comfort, either. The scoop is a time saver, and it creates less dust than typical ones that require a lot of excessive shaking of clumped litter. This one scoops, and then I slide the moveable shovel forward to eliminate all that dust. The mat has a pocket design, i.e., it has a honeycomb open topside, a solid bottom, and it’s seamed around three edges. It makes for easier cleaning with my garden hose (or shower sprayer). The mat could be a bit larger for litter collection, but it looks so much nicer than the newspapers I had been using.Lastly, this box takes less litter to fill to the 3″-4″ height that my cat is comfortable with. That’s a savings, and it’s less wasteful of expensive clumping litter.Overall, I’m really very pleased with this setup, and it worked out to be a great all-in-one package for me.Most importantly, my big 18-pound cat fits in it, and still has enough room to move around. It’s also easier for him to get in and out of compared to my old unit.

save your money! not leak proof
got this about a month ago and i will say using a stainless steel litter box is life changing. this specific litter box on the other hand…….. is small, but that’s not the problem. the problem was that it absolutely leaks, the attachment that makes the walls higher is somehow impossible to take off for cleaning and at the same time not water(urine)proof. i wish i didn’t spend the $50 on this because it’s only been a month and i need to replace it asap. we thought our cat had an accident and peed outside of the litter box when he’s never done that before & we’re considering going to the vet and while searching for the accident we found a literal puddle underneath the box. save your money unless you have a kitten!!

NOT a narrow box under 10″ wide
Width dimension in listing photo says this box is 9.8″ wide and 19+ inches long. Wrong. It is a typical cat box width, around 13″ wide. Not limited to small/medium cats as in description. See photos. It won’t fit my space, so it is going back. If there is a litter box available in those dimensions, please let me know.

Brilliant- no more crusty litter mess
I wasn’t sure what to think about the idea of a stainless steel litter box when I first saw this, because I have only ever used plastic. I wasn’t sure if my cats would go for this, but sure enough, it became their new favorite box pretty much overnight. I’m going to end up replacing the other plastic litter boxes in my house with stainless steel ones eventually because they all prefer this one and it’s getting way more use than the other boxes. The cats absolutely love it. They aren’t bothered by the metal at all. I think they like that it always smells clean because there’s no plastic holding on to odors like the one this replaced. If you have plastic litter boxes, you know sometimes the cat mess and litter will stick to the sides and dry and then it’s miserable to try to get it off. This thing is slicker than a greased pig and absolutely nothing sticks to the sides. After I clean it every day, I take a litter box wipe and run it around the inside and there is not a thing stuck to that box.My only complaint about this litter box is that the top part is plastic and there is a tiny seam where it meets the stainless steel, which can allow some liquid to escape if you have a high-spraying cat. I have a rubber mat underneath the box to catch any drips or spills so it’s not the end of the world, however.
