Works as advertised
This is the best littter box for wood pellets. We have reduced smell and waste of pellets. Clean up is easy and stainless steel will not absorb odors like our plastic ones

Best litter box I’ve ever had
I can’t say enough about this stainless box! It is so easy to put together and lightweight. I had a plastic sifting box before and it weighed a ton, but this is as light as a feather. Its so easy to clean too! No massive scrubbing to get this refreshed. Its quality materials and seems to be put together very well. Its on the lower end of price for these type of boxes too so that’s a plus! So glad I pulled the trigger and bought this!!

Super easy to clean
I LOVE stainless steel litter boxes because you never have to replace them and stuff slides off of them rather than sticking like it does with plastic boxes. Having a stainless steel SIFTING box is a whole new level! These work best with wood pellets rather than clumping litter – MUCH cheaper, and the pellets smell amazing. When liquid hits the pellets, they turn to sawdust that falls through the grate of the sifting pan. Solid waste can be scooped as usual, and the sawdust is compostable.

Way too small for large cats, such as Maine Coons.
I was really hoping this stainless-steel sifting litter box would work out, but it’s just too small for our 1-year-old Maine Coon. She’s currently 15 pounds and still growing steadily, with an estimated final weight around 20 pounds. At this point she’s close to outgrowing her current 24-inch navy Frisco extra-large litter box and her pee piles are always located in the corners of the box since that’s how she fits the best. The dimensions of this stainless-steel litter box (23.4 x 15.5 x 8.1) were smaller, but close to that for the Frisco box (24.0 x 18.0 x 10.0). Unfortunately, those slight differences were just too much for her size and she rejected this box. It’s not just the length and widths that are the problem, but the lack of depth of the litter as well. The 8-inch height of the stainless-steel box has only about 5 inches of useable space, since there’s an empty void for the saw dust to collect. This means you can only fill the box with just a few inches of litter. Our Maine Coon is quite the digger, and that’s just not enough litter for her before she’ll hit the bottom. You can see that after filling the stainless-steel with the litter from her navy Frisco box, there was still quite a lot of litter leftover in her original box.Aside from being too small for our cat, the box seems like it will be sturdy for smaller cats. The upper portion of box with the holes in it is thin, which makes it lightweight. However, I noted that I could press and deform the surface by pressing on it, which means this may give a bit under the weight of a large and heavy cat. Also, one of holes was not fully punched out (see photo with the liner installed but no litter added) and I’ll need to push it through or rip it out with some pliers before it can be made safe, or a cat may cut one of their paws on it (minus 1 star). The space below seems like it will accommodate a bit of sawdust, but not having enough litter in the 5 inches of usable box means that some of the cat urine may make its way down into this space before it can be absorbed completely by the pine pellets above, particularly if you have a large cat with a large bladder. You may have to put a layer of pellets in the bottom compartment to act as an absorber if that ends up being a problem.Overall, this is a nice stainless-steel sifting litter box, but it’s not designed for large cats—no matter what the poorly Photoshopped images may suggest. None of the cats in those images were actually in the box, which has clearly been exaggerated in size with respect cats in the images. If you have a cat that is (or will be) greater than 15 pounds or is very long (like a Maine Coon), then I really feel this litter box will be too small.

stainless steel litterbox
so far, so good. extremely easy to set up. Will see how well it cleans up soon. Much bigger than what my cat is used to. Going to add a pee pad to the bottom tray to catch any excess urine and make clean up a breeze. I love that the holes in the top tray are small enough that the pine pellets aren’t going to get stuck halfway in there like they do in out Tidy Cats Breeze system.My cat seems to like it. She crawled right inside to lay down & claim the new fancy box I gave her. She wasn’t as impressed once I added the pellets…so we’ll see how long it takes her to actually use it for its intended purpose.I love the inclusion of 2 rolls of bags and a cleaning brush.The stainless steel aspect is very appealing. I’ve only ever used plastic ones and I’m hopeful of it preventing lingering odors. not sure it justifies the ~$90 price tag but we shall see.

I had been wanting to try a stainless steel litter box for our cat and he started using it immediately!He’s a Siamese and approximately 10 pounds and this is a really great size for him.It does not retain a urine scent like a plastic litter box would, which I love.My number one favorite thing about it is that it doesn’t have the lower side for him to walk into, which ends up being the spot that litter would go flying out of the box and all over the floor – this has four sides that are all the same size and contains the litter when they’re covering!I haven’t used the strainer part because honestly it seemed like more hassle than it was worth, and scooping the litter has been a breeze

This makes my life a little better.
I’ve changed from clay clumping litter to pine pellets 6 years ago to prevent my cats from ingesting clay and chemicals from their paws. The pine litter has less odor than clay litter – pine also smells better. My first pine litter boxes are plastic and have a ledge that I have to clean – like they were made trying to rig an old box to fit the pine pellet process. This stainless steel box is the 2.0 version that’s the result of experience and understanding. It makes changing and keeping clean much easier. I have 3 cats, the largest is 17 lbs, and they all fit this box easily.The only thing they could improve is to make the scooper metal also. I broke the plastic scoop the first day.

Excellent litter box.
Very nice litter box. I use pine litter and have been missing my sifting litter box since switching to a stainless steel box and I was so excited to order this. My cats are pretty average in size, so this box provides them with plenty of space and I love that I get the sanitary benefits of a stainless steel box without losing the ability to sift. LOVE this.
