Well made but not for my cats
I hung two of these and neither of my cats had any interest in them. They were well made, easy to assemble and mount on the wall, but my cats prefer the lighter and thicker sisal rope found on standard cat trees. Maybe they are just finicky – imagine that! Since the refund window closed, I ended up donating them to the local shelter.

Template and Mounts need addressing
I’m in the process of installing this and though oh yes a template. I had already marked holes when I found the template. Well I should have stuck with my holes because the template for the 2 piece unit is about 1/4” off. Also used a weird drill bit size. The drywall anchors are also VERY old school. I bought different anchors and drilled new holes. Now we will see if my boy will give up the old pole this is replacing.

Great idea
This is a great idea of you have cats. It’s up out of the way which I love. My cats love these ands those cardboard scratchers. But this one is so helpful because it’s not on the floor or attached to a board that takes up space on your floors.

My cat loves it! Fits my base perfectly and doesn’t get unraveled easily.

Fairly simple to install
I detest doing stuff that can potentially ruin my home. So when I do do it yourself projects I have to be fairly certain that I’m not going to mess it up. And for me to call this and do it yourself project tells you just how little I believe in myself. With that said I installed it fairly easy. The only thing I couldn’t figure out was how to put the toys string into the tinier little holes at the top so I didn’t I just tied them. Aside from that there was a lot of screws and such that did not get used so I don’t know. I literally used four long screws and then two small ones. Aside from that it looks nice the animals seem to like it and so far it stayed up on the wall and seems secure so I’m happy with it.
