Surprisingly soft and well made
This is one of those Amazon purchases where I don’t understand how it could cost so little. Just the fabric to make this would cost more than the cost of this sling. Even though the shoulder strap is not adjustable, I find that more comfortable across my shoulder. I am 5 foot 4, and Because I have a large belly right now, the area in which the dog lies is a little bit resting high on my belly instead of flat against my side. For that reason, obese or large bosomed people might find the strap short or feel it a little bit small, but the construction is excellent and the ability to move it to different parts of your upper body and across the back of your shoulders is manageable because the strap is wide and comfortable. The sling part itself is extremely well-made. The lining is smooth and the little toes and toenails can’t get caught on the totally smooth lining fabric because it cannot snag. That was an extremely thoughtful thing to do. I love that Somebody realized that they don’t want any little toes and toenails getting damaged or hurt because then the dogs will not want to sit in the carrier, and that they took the time to line this so beautifully so that the outside is soft, discreet cotton, and the inside is slippery and cool and safe. I thought the snaps were a nice touch, there are three plastic snaps that go across the top of the carrier to keep the dog safe inside, but there is enough room for the dog to poke their head out of one of the openings and still not fall out. The reason why these plastic snaps are so thoughtful is they make very little noise, unlike the Velcro that is used for many carriers, which is terrifyingly loud and scary for dogs to hear so close to their heads. The fact that the snaps are plastic may or may not make them more durable, I don’t know, but They certainly won’t rust when you wash it. And they don’t have any sharp edges. They make the carrier very easy to open and close. You can glance down and see your pet very easily even if they’re lying down at the bottom. I love that There is a phone pocket! You can’t even buy a phone carrier for this price. So in some ways you’re getting a phone carrier with a free dog carrier attached lol. The fabric is so soft, which is very important for me because I have a nerve condition and I cannot stand fabrics that itch or are artificial. This is a soft light gray cotton. It is not stretchy, which actually makes it sturdier and less likely to dig into your back or shoulder and more likely to sit properly. I washed it in cold water today and let it air dry, it dried very quickly and it did not shrink. It is very lightweight which is super important because I am elderly, and cannot carry any weight other than my dog. I love this dog carrier and I never feel like I love what I get from Amazon it’s either tolerable or I accept it or I just give it away. This surprised me and made me want to share. By the way, my dog is a two-year-old 5 1/2 pound Chihuahua. I got the small. I don’t know if I had gotten a larger size if the strap would’ve been longer. Perhaps only the carrying part would have been larger. Depending on your dog’s age and personality, that will determine how comfortable they are lying in the sling, but as soon as you start moving, whether or not you’re cleaning the kitchen , and you don’t want to leave them when they’re feeling sick, or they’re just a baby, or you just need the comfort of a warm animal against your body, this is definitely the carrier to get. I’ve wasted money on other things, this is a purchase I’m finally proud of. I hope it works for you too. This is my fourth dog carrier and the only one i am keeping. The others were too cumbersome, or the dog could not lie down at the bottom and sleep, or the angle was wrong, and they were all more expensive! Thank you to the company for thinking of all the details and making this so affordable. The only suggestion I would make for improvement is to not sew that care tag that all fabric items have into the bottom of the lining. It’s visually discreet because it’s on the inside however, it doesn’t feel soft. I wish that it had been sown elsewhere so that it has no contact with my animal’s body. And lastly, this carrier does not have that awful chemical smell that so many things have. It has no smell at all. I think this is gonna last the lifetime of my pet, and I hope that’s a very long time. Happy snuggly days ahead to us all! 🙂 UPDATE: I found that after washing this carrier, the tag inside was soft. No longer stiff. And I attached a video so you can see I took my guy whale watching with me and it was perfect. I forgot i had it on. I stood with him for 4 hours on the windy boat and he was fine the whole time inside. (Ok watch the video, maybe we won’t go again lol.)

We are fostering a toy poodle who is very clingy. We have 2 standards of our own, so rather than leave our foster at home, she can come on the walks in the pouch. She is very content and I don’t have to worry about her howling due to being left behind .

Easy Carrier – Might be too big/deep for smaller pets
Bought this to carry my kitten around and go on walks and it’s a little too big/deep for her- might work better once she’s bigger but something to keep in mind if your pet is very small. I hang it from a chair every day and throw a toy in it and that’s really helped her get used to it. I wish the interior fabric was a little softer. I started wearing it while working and she’ll now climb in and hang out or take a nap. If you’re between this and a baby sling/wrap (like I was), the sling might be better for smaller pets, but this is not bad for the price. I like the pocket, the collar clasp, and that it’s washable and adjustable!

So happy someone finally made a quality carrier like this
I have been looking for this exact product for years. I have a senior chi velcro baby rescue. His legs have been bad for many years. He is now at the point where he can hardly walk or potty on his own. This works perfectly for us. I wear it while driving, mowing grass or just working outside to secure him in place. He has terrible balance and falls over easily. This carrier is quite comfortable for him. The adjustable strap is a great feature. We adjust accordingly when sitting, standing or walking. I also love that while walking, my upper legs aren’t disturbing him. Other carriers we tried hung too low and with each step, my upper thighs would hit the carrier. Highly recommend for small pets. Would definitely purchase again. The material is soft like a tshirt but has quality stitching which is a def plus.

It works, but this one is overpriced.
I purchased this originally for my senior chihuahua, but she did not like it. She was 5-6 pounds at the time- I wouldn’t recommend it for an older picky dog, it was easier to carry her propped on my shoulder with one hand.I am NOW using it with my new chihuahua puppy. It is helpful so you have one hand free, and you know they are clipped into it… but I still feel the need to have one hand on the pouch. My chihuahua puppy is currently 4 pounds, very small, and I wear it around my neck, so she is in the front. It is sturdy enough your dog is not going to fall out of it, but if they want to get out, they probably could without one hand on it. My pup peed in it the first time I took her out in it. It did not leak through. With a puppy like mine, I would suggest having a second one for backup in this case.There are a lot of these on Amazon, as low as $9.99 that are the same (same color, same plaid lining) I overpaid buying this one. There isn’t anything special about it or safer feeling.I do recommend the product vs no product- but the strap is so thick and not having a flat bottom seems so awkward for both of my dogs bodies. It works if you’re in a pinch- but by no means does it feel natural, easy or comfortable for me or either dog I have tried it with. Different heights from strap adjustment and position on the body has not made a difference. I will still use it until I splurge on something else to try – but don’t get ripped off when they have the same product on here for much less like I did.

Awesome product!
My pup loves it!!!!! She did so well hanging out with me on my errands a few times now. Our girl is only 4 months old so wanting to socialize her as much as possible. This is a great way to do it so she doesn’t become too overstimulated. And it’s so comfortable. The zipper compartment is a nice touch for treats or baggies. 🙂

Nice, just one small thing
This was well constructed and had nice features but we couldn’t use it because we have a Teacup Yorkie and at 2 1/2 lbs, this was going to be too big for her. For a larger dog, I think it would be great – the strap is wide and looked very comfortable to wear and I think the adjustments were user friendly.

I bought this in order to bring my 10 pound mini poodle to karaoke with me as well as shopping in dog friendly stores. She loves it and it is super comfortable on both me and her! I found after about an hour of shopping my shoulder got sore, but that was understandable with the length of time. I also love the style and the pouch for my keys and phone!
