    Handy and Simple
On a good day, it only takes a few minutes to trim my cats nails; however on a bad day, 15 or so minutes but this product also helps control a panicking cat who is EXTREMELY good at escaping hardnesses and other restraints except kennels (for now). Spent a hundred or so on a clothing rack to suspend the cat in the air, but she got out of the restraints easier that it was to put her in the restraints; then there’s the risk of injury of she landed on something hard. Might work on a dawg, but not a catThis style of grooming is far more personal, playing my cards right by being calm and supportive with my cat; I’ve never had my cat escape from this grooming bag, however only because she was never determined enough to do so. lol…

    Makes Trimming Claws A Breeze.
I have a cat that hates to have his claws trimmed, creating stressful experience for the poor fella and myself. This bag however, has made trimming time a breeze; my 12lb cat fits in it with plenty of room to spare, so he doesn’t feel smothered. The bag is well made, stitched and easy to zip/unzip. As expected, some cats may not like the idea of being put in a bag and the back claws may be a bit tricky to trim, but that’s due mostly to the cat’s anatomy and not the bag itself, after the first couple of times, you should get used to it.The bag is perfect for when applying medicine, such as eye/mouth drops and even brushing teeth. The large size is perfect for medium to large cats.

    Works great, unless it rips.
I bought a Medium bag three years ago for our 2nd cat. Our first cat has a frontal declaw, and we couldn’t put another cat through that painful process. Cat #2 has been getting regular nail trims since kittenhood, so he’s fairly used to the process. It goes a lot easier with two people to get him in the bag. After that, grooming is easy. I love all the zippers, but I did learn to not unzip the main zipper while he’s in there, it’s like he feels how close his freedom is and quickly escapes. One comment on that: The velcro around the neck does lose it’s strength once cat hair starts to stick to the velcro, which makes it easy for the cat to give one strong push and break out of his velcro collar. I resorted to cleaning the velcro really well of hair, and then not adjusting every again. Take the cat out the back, leaving just enough room to get his head out of the collar. The other “con” if you will is the lack of a face shield. I learned how important this is after deciding to trim cat #1’s rear claws for the first time ever. He enjoys watching us torture cat #2 on nail trim day, but he sure didn’t like being on the receiving end. I was bitten several times. I finally put a sock on his head to stop the biting. Cat #2 grew to become much larger than cat #1, and lately it has been quite difficult to get the bag zipped without zipping in some of his fur as well. It’s like stuffing a pig into a scuba suit. He’s a porker. Not easy. I finally remembered to order a bigger bag, and Large is the biggest. I did this after his last trim in November. (I never said I was consistent with nail trims, only when his nails start sticking into our clothing or we’re bleeding from holding him…) So today, I used the Large bag for the first time. The nail trim went well, it was nice being able to reach his feet without prying them out of his pig suit. I decided with the extra space I should give him a bath, since he’s not the best at grooming himself. His fur is clumpy, and honestly he stinks a little. So in the bathroom we go, and I lay him on the floor in front of the tub. Once I turned on the water, he freaked out. Like worse then I’ve ever seen him. Must be a flash back from a bath I gave him long ago. I pick him up, and his back leg is sticking out of the bag. He popped a seam. Ugh! I mean, he is a strong cat. He’s gotta be to carry all that chunk around… (I was thinking of weighing him for this review, but I can’t find him now until he decides to stand over me with glowing red eyes in my sleep.) And the extra room for his legs probably gave him just enough space to push out with all his might. Bathing went… well horribly. I managed with the rogue leg flailing about, but it was hard to lather him up under the parts of the bag that aren’t mesh. Which is a lot. So I had to unzip here and there to get my hand inside with soap, trying to avoid the claw stubs from Rogue Leg One. This bag will have to be discarded, this material doesn’t mend well even for a person that sews Of course it is too late to return it, even though I never used it until today. I mean overall, I was pretty pleased with three year old Medium bag, it did work well for nail trims until Porker got too porky for his pig suit. It’s a great price for what you’re getting. But I cannot overlook that this bag is not the best for a strong, pissed off cat. And I wish the sizes went bigger than just Large. Even with this size, it was hard to squeeze a resistant cat into this bag. I might try a cloth or mesh bag of a different variety, or sew one myself. But the idea of adding all those zippers to a sewing project will be about as much fun as bathing a cat.

Poor Noug had one of his claws clipped almost completely …
So, before we adopted Nougat he had a run in with someone way too clipper crazy. Poor Noug had one of his claws clipped almost completely off. I almost thought he just wouldn’t have that nail anymore, but with time it came back.Nougat, however, hates clippers now. I can’t blame the guy. He’s otherwise super mellow, very sweet, and the best, most regal cat ever.Problem is, he cuddles. And when he cuddles, he kneads. And he won’t let us clip his nails. He’s cut through shirts and jeans and plenty of skin. Calming chewables don’t help. Getting him sleeping only works for the first claw. He surprised me with how hard he fights to avoid clippers. He’s incredibly strong and I always would end up with scratch marks on my body and maybe a single nail clipped. Then I came across this kitty straight jacket and laughed maniacally. The first time I put Noug in, he was baffled. I zipped him right up and he promptly flopped over. That’s cool, cat. I can get you sideways too.The little zippers are great. I can unzip just an inch or so, pop his foot out, and get all his claws while he lays prone, unable to unleash his fists of fury. One time Nougat broke out. I hadn’t zipped him in all the way. I suggest zipping it all the way. I had to enlist help to get him back in the second time.I like the carrier handle more than I should. It’s like a cat purse. Nougat disapproves.Nougat is a very big boy and barely fits in there. I think all but the largest cats would fit. This has been one of the most essential cat purchases I’ve made, and I didn’t even know about it until minutes before I ordered it. It’s definitely a must-have for anyone who needs to immobilize their kitty.Nougat has not been bathed in it because then he would kill me in my sleep. I have no idea if it works for bathing because I like being not dead.

Salva i tuoi soldi. Non comprarlo.

  6. JGV

This is Exactly what I wanted! The fabric quality is amazing.I spent a long time mentally designing a product I could groom our uncooperative very large, very strong cat with, that would protect us from being clawed up during grooming. This is the exact design I needed and came up with in my head – it has every thing necessary for grooming.I am delighted I found this. It is absolutely the amazing quality and an amazing product. I recommend this to anybody who has a challenging cat to groom.Ours is large, heavy, strong, incredibly long, thick fur and is unable to keep himself groomed properly, ultimately ending up with endless matts

You need to ease your cat into it in the beginning or you will risk traumatizing your pet. I read the reviews and tried a different approach. The first time I used it as a toy. I did not cut my cat’s nails, just set him free immediately. Then later he would allow me to put him in there longer and longer. Eventually, now he just lets me put him there and trim his nails. The product itself is not bad, workmanship is a good as can be expected. Overall, great product.
