Stainless litter box
Product came packed well. Clean, crisp stainless steel bottom. Will clean out very well between cleanings. The lid kind of snaps over the stainless base. A little hard to get in but very secure. Good size and not too high or too low. Included litter scoop that clips in the side for easy storage. I have tried many plastic litter boxes and this is my first stainless and seems like a nice upgrade

8/10 on size and the metal pan is smell-proof and of good quality
My husband was excited for me to get a stainless steel litter box because he says the plastic ones we have get nasty over time. I liked this litter box for the half lid that goes around the top, but that was as far as it got.We have four cats, so I’m VERY familiar with buying and using litter boxes in our house. We have two automatic boxes and two plastic corner boxes with grates that we’ve used for years. I was equally excited about a stainless steel, easy-to-clean litter box, but here are my thoughts after having used it.Pros:- Stainless steel equals easy to clean- Elevated sides- Comes with a scoopCons:- Not quite tall enough for big cats, but comes very close- The elevated plastic side part is extremely hard to get on and off of the stainless steel base.I don’t want to struggle or spend any more time than necessary around the litter box., so to be honest, that last con was the deal breaker for me. I found this out as soon as I took it out of the box when it was delivered and I had a really hard time getting the plastic clips over the side of the metal pan. It’s almost like the plastic quality is too strong to bend over the bottom pan.The value is good and the concept is great, it just didn’t work out for us. You can see in my photos our 2nd largest cat inside of it to show how if he gets too close to the side, the mess is going outside of the box. I then added a photo with our two smaller cats and I think they would be fine in it, but cats will go where they want, so there’s no way to keep the larger boys out of it. When they did use it, I have to admit, there was less smell with a metal bottom than the plastic ones we have.So here’s what we did– I ordered another metal litter box with taller sides that came with a three-sided surround piece outside the box. I put the surround outside this smaller litter pan and switched the other metal box out with the old plastic ones. In the end, it works, but only because I feel more confident with additional parts around it to keep it from being messy.I think this would be a fantastic box for a regular sized cat, but with two big boys, we need to assurance of no messes. The metal pan should be an obvious choice, but so many litter boxes are plastic and/or not large enough. I would say this one is 8/10 for being big enough in our situation.

Sizable and smell-proof!
I have 2 14lb cats, one who is on chemo, and they fit in this box great, I use it with silica litter (do not use with kittens and watch to make sure your cat isn’t one of the oddballs who eats it!!). This combo has substantially cut down on the smell. I scoop & stir once a day. I was so excited to throw away that old plastic box!

So Far Great!
I upgraded from a smaller plastic type litter pan, and Lily the cat loves it. It’s bigger than her old one, and she doesn’t kick the litter out of the pan, as she was able to do previously. We’ve only been using it for a couple of weeks, but so far it’s great!

A bit smaller than advertised with different scoop
On the one hand this is a nice metal cat dirtbox. It is, however, not as big as advertised (although it is as tall as advertised). The scoop is not the same as in the product photo. They state this is: 16″ by 24″ by 10″ (It is 10″ high).Actual measurements:Bottom of the dirtbox: 13x 21 (perspective of the photo makes it look like the yard stick isn’t placed well – it is and I took the readings directly looking it from both ends and not the middle where I took the photo )Widest part pf the dirtbox 15 x 22 and 3/4.The low front end of the dirt box is 6 and 1/4″ high.Scoop is advertised as 4.7″by 10″.It is 3.75″ at the narrowest part, 4.25 at the widest and 9.5″ long.I don’t notice that less litter gets kicked out of the 6.25″ high “entrance” of the dirtbox (end with the grill). It still gets kicked over top of the entrance when mine are burying their business. The three 10″ tall sides do keep the litter in which is nice. Because the sides are slightly slanted inward they are not, so far, trying to scratch the plastic sides which is nice as my plastic boxes have a number of scratches along the sides.Getting the plastic piece on can be tricky. Start with one long end, then do both short ends, then flex the last long end line up where it slides in on the metal. When attached it is nice and tight. No litter will escape at that seam between the metal and plastic. Why I took off one star: It is somewhat smaller than advertised and has a different scoop that is advertised (and is pretty small – but then so is the one that is supposed to come with it) However otherwise it is nice.If the actual dimensions matter to you along with having a useful scoop (use a plastic one as a metal one might scratch the metal) then this might not be the litter box for you. I plan to keep using it although I prefer, and the cats prefer (they circle around less in the somewhat larger litter boxes I own), a slightly larger litter box (I have multiple cats and multiple litter boxes – all are using the metal one where I put it). The 3 sides that are 10″ are tall enough that so far they haven’t been able to kick out litter on those sides, the lower front side still has litter kicked over the edge onto the floor the same as happens with the other litter boxes I own. I already own a good scoop so that didn’t matter to me.
