Very good puzzle feeder!
This feeder/puzzle is great. My 8 month old puppy has been eating from it for about 1/2 of his meals for 3 weeks. For the first week I pushed down the clear plaster cover (it twists on & off to insert the food) to release the food into the slots while I encouraged him to look at what I was doing. Then I’d pick up the front end of my pup and put his paws on the plastic cover as a next step to getting him to figure this out. I started to be quiet while I did this to encourage him to listen to the food pellets dropping into their slots. Starting about 4 days ago (maybe 2 weeks after first use) he began putting his paws on the plastic release thing himself. He is still learning – which is good.I give him 1/4 cup of food per meal and it takes him just under 7 minutes to finish. The feeder could hold more though, maybe a cup (?). Like so many puzzle feeders I wouldn’t leave him unsupervised while using it. And I pick it up as soon as the food is gone to prevent him from having the negative reinforcement of pushing on the feeder and getting nothing for it. I will sometimes take it in the living room and put it beside me on the floor and I’ll just keep an eye on him and leave him to it.There are two sliding drawers to hide food. They are good in that the sliding thing encourages a different kind of puzzle solving. However, the food doesn’t dispense into these drawers. You have to manually put the food there and close the slider. I think they could have come up with something better. But, I try to refill them drawers as my dog is eating to encourage more problem solving. For the dispenser part of the feeders you open the clear plastic lid and put the food inside. When the lid is pushed down it opens slots to allow the food pellets to go through. When the pressure is off the lid the food is no longer dispensed. The food goes into channels to be dispensed in specific slots. The food doesn’t dispense evenly – because my dog doesn’t hit the plastic lid square on or with equal force. This means eventually some slots run out of food while others still have food to dispense. I think that’s fine because my dog can use his nose to try and sniff-out where the food is. So far my dog gives up on this before the very end (when all but one or two of the channels is empty), and I just dispense the food for him one last time. He’s been getting better every time we use it so the feeder is doing its job.The feeder came with two replacement covers for the feeder slots. I don’t know why. But I guess the company finds this is necessary. We will see. One of the slot covers tends to stick in the open position but I just flip it down. The aesthetics of this feeder/puzzle are nice. The colors are warm and friendly. The weight is not heavy but solid. There are rubber (?) grips on the bottom if you put this on a wood or tile floor.I’m a big fan of this feeder/puzzle. And highly recommend it.

Great toy.
My dog is an aggressive chewer but he clicked on right away that rolling was the key and the little squeak keeps him interested as he rolls it around. He has had this for almost 2 weeks and shows no sign of tearing it apart and delights in catching the treats as they escape. Great toy. (Trust me, he usually tears things up or is bored quickly. I would buy this again.)

Super Fun, but Does Not Stay in Place
My dog (and I) love this! He had no trouble figuring it out whatsoever. It has become his new food bowl. He might not be the most gentle and is “large”, but the puzzling kept being pushed and kicked around all over the living room when he first started using it. The first day I had to hold it down for him to be able to use it. We tried it on our stupid floors and on a mat, but no difference.HOWEVER, I think he has learned to be more gentle with it as it no longer does around as much when he eats out of it. He even learned to hold it down with his paw to keep it in place (I’m pretty sure he discovered he even had paws by using this puzzle XD). Also, considering no damage was taken during the first few days, if day that speaks well towards its durability. Also love that even if he keeps pushing down the top, kibble doesn’t just keep pouring out, it just stops. Which is nice! Overall, I love it. Great buy!

Dog approved
Great toy for my dog! He gets excited every time I take it out even with his regular food in it (and he’s not obsessed with his food). Keeps him busy for quite a while and I feel less guilty while I’m working. This might be a little too small for a dog with a big nose (ie big golden, etc) due to the little cubbies.

Fun toy but Velcro gets chewed by dog
Fun toy for my dog. She loves it and figured it out inMinutes . The only issue with my little chewer is that she opens it and tears out the Velcro .She still plays with it without the Velcro , but defeats the purpose . For the price there should be a better way to keep dogs from tearing out Velcro

Best money I’ve spent on a dog toy/slow feeder!!!
I bought this for our 15 month old Queensland Heeler. He chows down his food super fast and is always hungry! This has slowed his eating and given him engagement that gives us a much needed BREAK!! This ball hold roughly 2 cups of kibble. It keeps our heeler busy for roughly 30 minutes rolling around on our tile and wood floors, while he eats his breakfast. This is a game changer for us as he is usually looking for something to do, 4 minutes after he is done eating! The only thing we might like different is that it was slightly bigger so he couldn’t pick it up with his mouth! Also, the first time I filled it, I didn’t tighten the lid all the way so it popped off. So make sure to tighten it well! I promise your pup is gonna love this!!!

Dog loves it!
My dog figured it out in a few minutes, and she loves it! She especially likes where she smacks her paw on it to press out more food. I have to make sure I twist the top in securely, otherwise she just flips the top off. She has fun lifting up the compartments to look for kibble. The description says the puzzle does not scoot, but your dog can scoot it across the floor pretty easily. In the beginning, she scooted it more. Now that she is familiar with the ins and outs of how the puzzle works, she doesn’t rly scoot it. A dumb lazy dog would not want to fool with this, but this perfect for a smart working dog who likes to be busy. Also, you wanna make sure you dog is big and strong enough. My 7.5 lb yorkie wouldn’t be able to press out more food. Mai is 21 lbs and has no trouble. It’s kind of loud, too. The plastic lids are noise when the come down, and the food release button makes racket. It started the dogs at first, but they adjusted quickly. Overall, very happy with it and I feed Mai with it every day. Oh, and it’s easy to wash – just swish it around in a clean sink full of hot soapy water. That gets it reasonable clean enough for the dog. 5 stars.

My German Shepherd loves this!! When inside this helps entertain her mind enough to make her tired. Took her time to realise she had to press on the top.

Our dogs love this treat ball. It makes a quirky sound and the dispensing options make it easy to adjust the flow. I love the clear cover (unlike kong and other products) bc it shows if treats are still left inside. Our big dog pushes it around the house with his nose. Our small dog jumps on it with his front feet to roll it around. I mix expensive treats with dog kibble ahead of time so they all smell good and costs less. Great product.

The opening are very small for the kibbles to fall through when pressed and gets stuck which drives my dog nuts

Mi perra parecía aspiradora. Ahora come más lento y se entretiene por horas. Lo amamos.
